Dr. Ryan received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry at Memphis in 2006. During dental school, he discovered a passion and affinity for working with children. His natural warmth and kindness quickly puts even the most timid patient at ease.
That passion led Dr. Ryan to complete a rigorous two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 2008 he was awarded his Master of Science. In 2017, Dr. Ryan became a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.
The pediatric dental residency provided Dr. Ryan with extensive experience in all facets of dental care for infants, children, and people with special needs. The program offered exposure to the latest techniques and technologies used in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral disease. It also taught operating room procedures, oral conscious sedation, and the use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas).
Dr. Ryan has been certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and CPR.Each year heparticipates in many continuing education courses. This ensures he remains current on advances in treatment strategies, techniques, materials, and technology.

Outstanding experience from scheduling to check in to the actual check up. Dr. Ryan Cregger and Dr. McGowen are incredible dentists with a true gift for working with children. They are thoughtful, gentle, and respectful of every child/families' unique needs. Highly recommend this wonderful office and group of dentists.

We LOVE Brentwood Pediatrics! The entire staff is amazing but Lexie is by far my boys FAVORITE RDA . She always goes above & beyond to make sure they have a good experience when they are in the chair! I can never thank her enough for being so great with them

We saw Dr. McGowan today and had Lexi as our assistant. Kohen is 3 and is not a fan of the dentist at all and in the past has cried throughout his entire appointment. This appointment was much different! Lexi made him feel so comfortable making his experience fun and enjoyable with no tears and no complaints! I would give Lexi and the team 10 stars if I could!

Dr.Ryan is so awesome with my son CJ. He has been going to him since he first started going to the dentist. His interaction with the kids is amazing!! Now Lexie his assistant where can I start! She knows every child's name and makes them feel comfortable. My son CJ says all the time Lexie is his favorite!!! He loves going to get his teeth cleaned and they act more like family than a place to come for the dentist lol. Lexie is amazing and she loves her job. She always has a smile on her face and we can always catch up on where we left off the months in between our visits. If you haven't tried Brentwood pediatric Dentistry please go pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed!!

My daughter has been to this office a handful of times this year and each time has been a pleasant experience. The providers are phenomenal with the children, thorough and do not rush you as a parent if you have questions. Front office staff is always friendly and accommodating even on last minute appointments for dental emergencies. I also had an encounter with the office manager and insurance coordinator who were extremely helpful in working through our benefits when we encountered an insurance issue.
