H Douglas Holliday Jr. D.D.S. Dr. Holliday was born and raised here in Nashville where he attended Oak Hill School before going to Montgomery Bell Academy. He graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a degree in Microbiology, and went on to the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis. While in dental school, he served as the treasurer of the American Student Dental Association, the treasurer of the local dental fraternity, Psi Omega and also as the president of the Honor Council. Upon graduating dental school in 2004, he was awarded the Psi Omega Fraternal Achievement Award, which is given to a graduating senior who has contributed the most to improvement of the chapter during their membership. He was also given the Pierre Fauchard Undergraduate Certificate of Merit for his work in dental school. Dr. Holliday is a member of the following organizations: American Dental Association Academy of General Dentistry Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation Tennessee Dental Association Nashville Dental Society Millennium Study Club Dr. Holliday joined the Brentwood Dental Arts family in 2007 and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified. He knew that he wanted to be a dentist when he was in 4thgrade, and states that my goal as a dentist is to provide the very best care to my patients that I can in terms of health, esthetics, technology, and treatment. I look forward every morning to serving my patients and creating life long relationships with each and every one. He also enjoys going on dental mission trips every other year through Solid Rock Missions. Dr. Holliday and his wife, Laura have a full household with two daughters and two dogs. Ian Mort D.D.S. Dr. Ian Mort of Rochester, New York, attended State University of New York at Geneseo in Geneseo, NY. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology. He continued his education at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY and completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Mort calls Nashville home and is fortunate to live close to his older brother, an oral surgeon and his parents who migrated here from New York. Her favorite part about working at BDA is how Dr. Fletcher and Dr. Holliday always continue to make us laugh and keep us having fun while we work! Mercedez Mercedez was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN. She has two sisters and dog named Mikko. She lived in Knoxville for 3 years which led to her love of UT football. She enjoys spending time outside with Mikko and attending UT football games. Our family atmosphere was just one of the reasons why Mercedez decided to become an assistant at our office. She hopes to have a long, fulfilling career here at BDA. What is one interesting fact about you? I have a plate and 8 screws in my shoulder from a tubing incident on the lake.
