Since 1982, Dr. Brent L. Blaylock DDS has been a trusted cosmetic and restorative dentist in Durham, North Carolina. His practice offers cosmetic, restorative, and preventive dentistry for the entire family, including crowns, bridges, tooth-colored fillings, implant restoration, teeth whitening, and bite guards, along with many other dental procedures.
A native of North Carolina, Dr. Blaylock grew up in Rocky Mount and came to Chapel Hill to earn his Bachelorss degree in Zoology from the University of North Carolina. He then earned his dental degree from the UNC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Blaylock has participated in several dental study clubs and believes in continuing dental education, having completed many courses at the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Training. Dr. Blaylock feels strongly that a complete examination is the most important step in helping a person with any dental problems they may have. He really enjoys getting to know his patients and taking care of their dental needs, whether they need extreme makeover transformations or just routine dental care.
Dr. Blaylock and his wife, Debbie, have two grown sons. He is an avid sports fan, especially college football. A self-proclaimed recipe junkie, Dr. Blaylock loves cooking and the challenge of finding, adapting, or even creating recipes that will please his family and friends. He and Debbie also enjoy traveling, and they try to visit at least one place each year where Dr. Blaylock can SCUBA dive. They both enjoy working in their yard and gardens.
A third-generation Durham native, Tessa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the UNC School of Dentistry. She joined Dr. Blaylocks practice in 2001 and has over 24 years of experience in inpatient care. Tessa takes her patients oral health very seriously, but that doesnt prevent laughter from emanating from the room when she is treating a patient.
Robin is a Durham native and graduated from the UNC Dental Assisting Program in 1983. She has over 32 years of experience in general and orthodontic dental practices. Robin began working with Dr. Blaylock and his team in 2014 and is proud of the quality of care his patients receive.
She is married to Rod and has a married daughter, Caitlin. Robin is very active in the Womens and Outdoor Ministries at her church and is an avid Wolfpack fan. When you visit our office, Robins smile will be there to greet you, and she will be happy to help you with your scheduling, financial, and insurance needs.
Originally from Michigan, Theresa graduated from Kalamazoo Community College and the UNC School of Dentistry with degrees in Dental Hygiene. She worked as the clinical coordinator with the Duke University geriatric dental clinic, and later as a dental hygienist with Dr. Blaylock.
Theresa moved with her husband, Marcel, and family to Arizona, Virginia, and California, earning a dental hygiene license in each state. Fortunately for Dr. Blaylock and his patients, she moved back to North Carolina and has been working in his office since 2007. Theresa enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling with her husband and two teenagers.
