Dr. Brennan Skulski was born in Mansfield and grew up in Lexington, Ohio. He graduated from Lexington High School in 2008, then received his Bachelors of Science in Biology with Honors from the Ohio State University in 2012. He then received his dental degree from Ohio State in 2016. He finished his three-year residency in orthodontics in March of 2019, from The Ohio State University, where he was Chief Resident his final year.
He met his future wife, Lizzy, his senior year of high school and they have been married four years. They have a four-year-old daughter, Ellie, a one-year-old son, Reed, and a poodle, Leira. They moved back to Mansfield a year before graduation in order to be closer to family and be a part of the community. He played varsity tennis for four years in high school and you can find him down at Lakewood Racquet Club on the weekend, excited to be able to play more often.
Greg Bookwalter DDS, MS was born in Mansfield, OH, and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. He attended Miami University of Ohio for three years and was fortunate to then be granted early acceptance into the Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
After completing dental school, Dr. Bookwalter joined the Public Health Service / Indian Health Branch. He was assigned to Pawhuska, OK for two years, followed by an additional two years in Kincheloe, MI. During this time, he provided general dental care for the Osage and Chippewa Natives in those areas.
While his years in the Indian Health Service were rewarding and educational, Dr. Bookwalter always had a desire to become an orthodontist. He applied, was accepted into, and completed a masters degree program in orthodontics at the University of Michigan.
Upon graduation, he joined the practice of Dr. Richard Shrilla in Mansfield. Dr. Shrilla had been Dr. Bookwalter's own orthodontist and was very instrumental in his decision to work in the field. They worked together for 12 years until Dr. Shrilla's retirement. Dr. Bookwalter is currently continuing on with the practice.
Dr. Bookwalter is a friendly and compassionate orthodontist who strives to ensure that every experience you have in our office is as positive and comfortable as possible. You may run into Dr. Bookwalter around town at Snow Trails, Lakewood Tennis Club, one of several golf courses, the YMCA, the Renaissance or various high school sporting events.
