I feel blessed to be an orthodontist and absolutely love my profession. One of the best parts of my job is getting to know our patients and their families, and seeing the positive impact that orthodontic treatment provides. I enjoy listening to patients concerns and discussing treatment options to help them improve their oral health, function, and appearance.
I chose the healthcare field because I wanted a career that would allow me to help others, and dentistry, in particular, because of its artistic side and how it allows me to work with my hands. During dental school, orthodontics called out to me because I loved seeing the transformation of a patients smile and the excitement they had when receiving treatment. I also love learning who each person is, sharing in their lives, and encouraging them to do great things!
I am always looking at ways to improve my skills and knowledge as an orthodontist. Continuing education keeps me up to date on current orthodontic trends and technology and ensures that our patients receive the best possible treatment available. I attend annual meetings of multiple orthodontic associations and often take online and local classes, as well as courses through the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston.
I grew up in Longview, TX, and made stops along the way in Waco, Dallas, and Houston before moving to Brenham. My wife Kirby is a part-time music teacher and when not at school, she is busy taking care of our two daughters, newborn son, and two dogs. We are members of First Baptist Church of Brenham as well as the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. When Im not working, youll find me hanging out with my family. We enjoy watching our favorite TV shows together, traveling, and being outdoors. I also enjoy playing golf and tennis and attending live sporting events.
When Im not in the office, I love being outside, especially relaxing in a boat on the lake. I love time with friends and my family. My husband loves to fly airplanes, so I often get to tag along, and I enjoy fishing with my son. Our family has two adorable cats, too.
I appreciate the excitement of our patients when they start treatment and getting to see that build as they reach the end. Those big and beautiful smiles make all of us smile! Working in the clinic, I provide chairside assistance to the doctors during orthodontic procedures and offer patient care. I found my professional home at Brenham Orthodontics in 2004, and love working with friendly, skilled people who care about our patients and each other.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my family and two dogs and three cats. I enjoy being artistic and fixing up and decorating our home in Chappell Hill. One day, I hope my husband and I can buy more houses that we can fix up together!
I enjoy meeting and building relationships with our patients and their parents. My focus is on making our new patient and family feel welcome, and walking them through the treatment process. I take all initial records (pictures, X-rays, scans), review the treatment plan, and discuss fees and payment options, as well as answer everyones questions. Ive been with Brenham Orthodontics since 1993 and love that were a close, friendly team that pitches in to help each other provide the best experience for our patients.
I have been a widow for a number of years. My son Zachary just married the love of his life, Debbie, and they live in Houston. My daughter Nicole lives in Bellville and has blessed me with three beautiful grandchildren: Micah, Tre, and Tori. I am active in my church and aspire to walk the walk God has called me to. I have done some mission work, love to travel, and value time with my friends and family.
We are a family-owned business that takes immense joy in creating beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime. Our goal is to treat all our patients like we would a family member, and we enjoy cultivating meaningful relationships with our patients. We are dedicated to patient care of the highest quality and are passionate about our work, but we also enjoy having fun!

I went to get a second opinion as my son's dentist thought he needed braces. What I got was complete honesty. No orthodontics was necessary, only a slight misalignment that was barely noticeable. I am so grateful we have honest dentist that isn't just out to make money. Thank you!

Would like to let readers know what you will get into with this office. You will be a number, in out next check. Nice, professional, knowledgeable, maybe but not all. First vist was good they go over plan, giving you time, answering your questions. That will change. Great that office is strict on schedule. But they also need to understand that things happen we are human. I was 10 minutes late and appointment was not completed as scheduled. Told Laura they should see the way office schedules, allowing for minutes between appointments. Was told that following appointment doesn't need to wait. She is right, but there should be room for emergencies. My other daughter's bracket was broken off by assistant, it was not placed back on. Why?? There is no time office has to get to next check, next appointment. This is why in my opinion they see you as a number. Laura made it clear for us to feel unwelcome. I called to let know we were running late, Laura told me we were scheduled for a 30 minute appointment. 2:40 - 3:10. I was talking to Patricia setting up next appointment, Laura said your next appointment is waiting, time 3:04 still with in my appointment time. At front desk 3:08 Laura told next appointment sorry for keep you waiting. This is why I said to start not all are professional. I would like to thank Patricia, for hearing me out and understanding.

I live in Houston but will gladly drive to Brenham to see Dr. Gor. He is a fantastic orthodontist who puts my care and safety first above all else. I live in Houston but will gladly drive to Brenham to see Dr. Gor. He is a fantastic orthodontist who puts my care and safety first above all else. All of my dental hygienists have complimented his work and tell me what a great job he did. I would definitely recommend Brenham Orthodontics and Dr. Gor to ANYONE!

When we visited this office for my son's initial appointment, the orthodontist predicted jaw surgery as a distinct possibility but said he would do all he could to avoid that. Because of the knowledge he and his staff posses, we are at the end of my son's treatment plan with th nothing more than a minor procedure no more invasive than having wisdom teeth removed. We are so thankful and pleased with the knowledge and care of everyone in this office.
