Breezy Bay Dental is a full-service dental facility dedicated to the care and well-being of our patients. At our state-of-the-art dental facility in lovely Palm Harbor, you will be welcomed by an amazing team of professionals who will do their best to make your experience pleasant. From our reception area to our treatment rooms, our facility has been customized to create a relaxing and soothing environment as if youre being transported away to your favorite Florida beach.

For over fifteen years, Dr. Philip Sherman has been delivering quality dental care to his patients. A graduate of The University of Florida Dental School, Dr. Sherman is well-versed in all areas of dentistry and able to perform procedures that most general dentists must refer to specialists. His belief in hard work and continuing education has afforded him the ability to offer his patients not only the latest in dental technology, but a wide variety of complex procedures, including the surgical placement of dental implants as well as performing IV Sedation.
Dr. Sherman is very proud to offer patients the service of surgically placing dental implants while utilizing the latest technologies. Breezy Bay Dental has its very own digital CT-Scan machine that assists Dr. Sherman in precise planning and guided placement of implants with the final restorative result in mind.
Dr. Sherman completed his Moderate Sedation training at Augusta University. He is ACLS certified and takes great pride in being able to deliver safe and comfortable IV Sedation to patients who experience dental anxiety and/or are in need of a lengthy procedure. He and his staff have gone to great lengths to ensure safe and effective practices in the area of Dental Sedation as well as all areas of treatments they offer.
Dr. Phil Sherman and his wife, Amy, have been happily married for over 20 years and have a fourteen-year-old son named, Philip. The Shermans are parishioners of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and their son attends Carwise Middle School. They are very active in the community and they support Pinellas Hope, Toys for Tots, their local YMCA, and various charities. The Shermans enjoy all that our beautiful community has to offer while making it a better place to live.
Jessica graduated in 2002 from Pasco Hernando Community College with her Associates Degree. She has enjoyed her dental hygiene career for over 14 years. Jessica is very passionate about helping people understand the importance of their oral health and is excellent at instructing patients on how to care for their teeth. Jessica is gentle, yet thorough, and has a cheerful personality that puts nervous patients at ease. Our patients look forward to their cleanings with Jessica!
Susanne is a native Floridian, born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She began her dental career working in a dental laboratory, then decided that she wanted to be directly involved in offering patient care and started working in dental offices. Sue received her radiation certification and expanded functions certification through the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Originally from Cincinnati, Kim has over 30 years of dental experience and is proud to provide the very best service and dental care to our patients. Mrs. Tindle is a front desk and dental insurance expert. She is passionate about new patient integration into our practice and assuring treatment plans make sense to our patients.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys living the Florida lifestyle to its fullest. She loves being a dog mom to her 3 Great Danes named Winston, Bowden, and Campbell. Believe it or not, Kim is a giant Florida State Seminoles Fan!
Christina has been an expanded functions dental assistant since graduating from Ultimate Medical Academy in 2014 here in Clearwater, Florida. Ms. Viglino has been part of the BreezyBay family since August of 2019 and prides herself on gentle dentistry. She is very passionate about educating patients and making everyone feel at ease in the dental chair and office. You will find her in the back physically assisting with patients as well as helping the front office staff. In her spare time, she likes to paint, ride bikes and play with her two fat cats.

I wish I would of found this place years ago. I had a broken tooth in excruciating pain. My appointment wasn't till another week. I called & asked to see if I could be on a cancellation list. Not only that but they fit me in on the same day. The staff & Dr. Sherman were all great. They took me right away. The dental hygienist even fist pumped me lol. I was telling Dr. Sherman I need a stitch because the last dentist I went to gave me one and I blead all over the place. He said You're not going to need a stitch because it's already out. That's how pain free & fast it was. I am telling everyone how great this place is.

Dr.Sherman and his entire staff are awesome! Very professional, loads of fun ( even going to the dentist) which I was always afraid of ! Now , Dr . Sherman has changed my opinion of visiting the dentist . I highly recommend this practice for anyone who is in need of having work done , from a minor cavity to major overhaul Thank you for giving me my confidence back and dignity! All dentists and staff should be like this place

My wife and I went here, great customer service and a great dentist. The front desk could use some work.... We suffered tremendous family stress and we canceled two appointments. When I called to reschedule the lady didn't take me seriously at all or even ask why I cancelled before. We were in South Africa for the last year and when I tried to explain the miscommunication I was ignored. Will not be back. Great place just don't try to reschedule. I will find another dentist today. Benjamin Haire P.S. i have never written a review on Google before.

I have been going to Breezy Bay Dental for over two years now. The first year was great however the last year has been different. I have noticed lately they are understaffed and my appointments are rushed. Due to COVID - my job has changed my schedule a few times this passed year (as many other companies have) I have had to reschedule and cancel a few appointments. The new receptionist Kim must not understand or care that we are in a pandemic and now refuses to reschedule any appointments for me. Completely unprofessional and rude. I have explained I work for Baycare (a health care company) and due to my company's policies with covid my schedule has changed a few many times. I cannot prevent it!!!! It is completely out of my control. With the understaffing and unprofessionalism from Kim I WILL not be returning. Not to mention Dr. Sherman is always over booked when I came in to see him. There are other dentist around that would never allow this unprofessionalism. Would not recommend!!! Also I'm not the only person who wrote a recent review on the horrible receptionist. FIRE KIM!!

I admit, all of my adult life I fear dental visits not just for major drilling & grinding on my teeth but even regular cleanings! It was time for a change in my dental hygiene care, so I made an appointment at Breezy Bay Dental in Palm Harbor. I liked the openness of the office for starters. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I especially liked the back massager once situated in my dental recliner to help ease my tensions. Using state of the art Panoramic X Ray equipment and traditional methods, I could see my X-rays right in front of me on a beautiful monitor. My Hygienist was super friendly, professional and very insightful on my present state. But best of all for me who Fears this date on the calendar, her care on my sensitive teeth was outstanding! I will be going back next month for a crown fitting and moving forward without that fear and anxiety of that dreaded circled calendar date, Dentist Appt!

I absolutely love this office! The staff is so friendly and thorough. There was no pressure for me to schedule my addition dental work-they let me schedule at my own pace. Highly recommended!

I used to love this place. From the friendly and kind staff to honest prices and the massage chairs that help you relax, it was a great experience. However, in these pandemic times, I noticed that they are doing less than other health providers (e.g. doctors, pediatricians, ophthalmologists) to prevent airborne disease. Aside from the county-wide mask order, there is little else. No health questionnaire, no temperature check. Everyone sits in the same small waiting room (instead of the car for example), and on multiple occasions I have seen the staff casually pull masks on/off their mouths. Considering that dental procedures require you to take your mask off -- potentially spreading more germs in the air, this is a little unsettling, and I hope they tighten up their procedures.

My first time seeing Dr. Sherman. I was seeking a second opinion on several dental issues. I was put at ease right away with his dental assistant Sue. I have a very small mouth and she was very gentle with taking the X-Rays. I usually experience pain and much pushing and shoving to get the equipment to fit into my mouth. Sue did a wonderful job and I had no discomfort whatsoever. All of his staff were very professional and friendly. After X-Rays I met Dr. Sherman. He was very knowledgeable (and kind) about my problems and came up with a great dental plan on how to next proceed. I highly recommend this Dental Office.

I really can't say anything bad about this practice. I have severe dental anxiety and was very weary of dental work. Doctor Sherman and his staff are so wonderful and they will do anything do make you comfortable. Dr Sherman will be my forever dentist. Thank you all so much for your kindness.

I am a long time dental-phobe. Office is really clean and small. I arrived for my appointment and did not have to wait. The doctor and staff Immediately made me feel at ease and were extremely pleasant! They took the time to explain everything, offer me options and answer all my questions. Truly what a dentist office visit should be like. I'm actually looking forward to getting the work done, which is a 1st for me!!

Dr Sherman is a fantastic dentist that is over 1 and half hours away from me and I would travel that distance for all of my dental needs because he is that great. He is a caring and very personable Dentist that I trust for all of my dental needs.
