Dr. Jen is the proud owner of Brecksville Kids Dentistry. Dr. Jen is eager to provide an exceptional level of care to children while at the same time educating her patients and their parents. Her goal is to help children develop a sincere interest in taking care of their own teeth.
An Ohio native, he graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2000, completed a year of General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Ohio, then joined the Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh for his pediatric specialty training.
Courtney is our Office Manager. She lives in Brunswick with her 2 sons, Luke and Vinny. She has been in the dental field for 10 years. She found her passion for dentistry when she was 18 years old and started as an Orthodontic Assistant where she learned that she loved working with children. She has recently started a local AADOM(American Association of Dental Office Managers) group to help local Office Managers learn and grow from each other. Her goal is to help all Dental Office Managers grow into great leaders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time traveling and swimming with her children.
Nicole is our Registered Dental Hygienist and Camp Counselor extraordinaire! She lives in Broadview Heights with her husband Dan and two children, Jack and Cali. Both children attend North Royalton schools and participate in various sports. Many of our patients will recognize Nicole out and about in our community. Her love of working with children started at a young age beginning with babysitting and teaching swimming lessons. Nicole loves going on beach vacations and is a certified SCUBA diver. Her favorite destination is Cozumel, Mexico!
Sara lives in Medina with her husband Nathan and two daughters Claire and Mary. She has been in the dental field for 25 years, starting as an assistant before going back to school for her dental hygiene degree. She loves giving all her patients a positive dental experience. When not working or busy taking her kids to their activities, she enjoys cooking, hiking/walking and reading.
Lauren graduated from Fortis College in 2014 with an associates degree in applied science/dental assisting. She enjoys vacations in Florida from Disney World to the beach with her husband Steve and her daughter and son. She keeps busy with soccer, football and Cub Scouts during the week. In addition, she loves to watch movies and roller skate on the weekends!
Kristina is one of our scheduling coordinators. She graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from Normandy High School in 2018. She currently attends Tri-C majoring in Dental Hygiene, with hopes of graduating as a Dental Hygienist in 2023. Kristina lives in Parma, with her black lab Bear. She looks forward to seeing new faces in the office every day and helping them improve their oral hygiene skills.
Rachel is one of our Scheduling Coordinators. She lives in Independence with her husband and two kids. Both of her children attend Independence Schools and participate in all sports. She enjoys working out and staying active.She loves helping in her childrens classrooms. She stays busy going to her kids sporting events, especially for her favorite sport, baseball.
After a long career in the tech field, Paul decided to retire and now enjoys taking care of Balto in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, he is the offices handyman! He is also Dr. Jens Father-in-law and enjoys spending time working in his garden, in his barn and especially spending time with his five grandchildren. Hes been happily married to his wife, Kathleen, for over 35 years.
Marti has been Dr. Jens Camp Dental Assistant since 2006. She lives in Aurora with her husband, Joe and have two grown children, Jenna and Nina. Marti enjoys seeing fearful children develop into cooperative dental helpers! She is enthusiastic about coming to Camp each day! She loves to travel, and thoroughly enjoys watching the Cleveland Cavs and Indians.
When you come in for your initial visit please be sure to bring your dental insurance card and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so. If your child needs antibiotics prior to dental work, please give them as prescribed. If you are not sure if they need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to the visit.
Your first visit begins with a comprehensive oral evaluation. Our team will develop a treatment plan to help your child achieve and maintain a healthy smile.Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about treatment options during yourvisit.
It is recommended that a child have their first dental check-up by the age of 1. Informing your child about their first dental visit is very helpful. At your childs first visit, we will review the medical/dental health history form with you. We will get to know your child and help them to feel comfortable in the office by explaining what will happen duringtheir visit, and showing them the tools and instruments we will use to help keep their smile healthy.
We encourage parents to accompany their child during their visit. This gives you an opportunity to see us working with your child and allows us to discuss dental findings and treatment needs directly with you. A thorough head and neck examination and evaluation of the teeth and gums are performed. Radiographs (x-rays) are taken only if necessary. If no treatment is needed, the teeth will be cleaned and a fluoride treatment will be provided.
Having been born into a family of medical professionals, she always knew shed become a dentist. It didnt take her long to discover that pediatric dentistry was her calling. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2002 and then completing a 2-year pediatric dental residency at Nationwide Childrens Hospital, Dr. Hechko began working in a private practice.

Dr. Jen is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association,a fellow of theAmerican Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Ohio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.She has received her Laser Certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute.In addition, Dr. Jen is honored to be recognized as one of the Top Dentists in Northeast Ohio according to Cleveland Magazine.
Dr. Hechko and her husband have three children. When shes not busy at Brecksville Kids Dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family, running outdoors during the warm months, and watching movies. Many of you may recognize her husband, Dr. Adam, who owns and operates the North Royalton Animal Hospital a full service veterinary clinic, doggie daycare center, boarding, and grooming business.

I am always very impressed with the staff and service at Brecksville Kid's Dentistry, but when my toddler experienced trauma to her mouth, they went above and beyond. Dr. Jen was so responsive and helpful on the emergency line (on a Friday night) and Dr. Jason and staff were so kind and thorough in the office the following week. I would recommend this office to any parent but especially parents of small kids!

Best experience we've ever had! My daughter has a lot of anxiety going to the dentist because she remembers having two teeth extracted when she was 3/4 and she's now almost 9. They did such an awesome job comforting her and assuring her how well she was doing. The staff was beyond friendly, I couldn't imagine a better experience and I'm so thankful for all of them. This was the first time she has left a dentist office smiling and saying how she can't wait to come back! Thank you again BKD

My son (5) saw Dr. Jason for the first time today. He, along with every staff member we had contact with, were kind, welcoming and made sure to explain everything so we could understand. We were referred by our general dentist and I would highly recommend this office to anyone!

This is the 3rd pediatric dentist we have been to, I loved our other places but had to leave due to changing insurance, with that being said this place is the BEST we have been to! The theme of the office makes it feel as if this is not an actual dentist but straight out of Disney World! The staff is very friendly, the hygienist made my kids feel comfortable and Dr. Jason was awesome with the kids. Balto, the therapy dog, was a huge hit and something we have never experienced with our other offices. After our appointments, my kids did not want to leave! They are so excited to go back in 6 months!

Dr. Jenn and the entire staff are amazing! We have been coming here for 3 years now and the care that my children have received has been above reproach. My daughter had severe anxiety about coming at the beginning but with the help of Balto the therapy dog, the warmth and kindness of the entire office, and the efficiency and skill of Dr. Jenn my daughter is excited to get her teeth looked at so she can get her sugar free slushy. Thank you so much for everything Brecksville Kids Dentistry!!

I am so thankful that we were referred to Brecksville Kids Dentistry! This office is truly amazing! My son has needed a lot of work done on his baby teeth, and they have provided excellent care! When he was in pain, the kind receptionists got him an appointment on the same day. Dr. Jen and Dr. Jason truly care about their patients. I love the way they speak to the kids in a calm and loving tone. And they have adorable names for everything, like alphabet animal names for each tooth or pirate teeth for crowns. Balto, the therapy dog, sat with my son during his appointment. He brought so much comfort and peace after we were both feeling a lot of stress about the work he needed done. Mr. Paul was so nice too! I cannot praise this office enough! Thank you for providing such loving care!

Oh my gosh--no numbing needed! I traveled from out of state because my 5 year old needed 4 fillings, and our general dentist doesn't do it in little kids. I didn't even realize that the Laser dentistry advertised on the website meant my kid wouldn't need to be numbed at all (maybe some kids do). I was even more surprised when one cavity needed a crown and Dr. Jen did it without numbing. My kid isn't perfect, but the movie playing over the chair, laughing gas, and THERAPY WONDERDOG, Balto, made this worth the trip. Kind and fun staff, and Dr. Jen was incredibly gentle, explained things well, and was FAST. Wow!

The staff is so friendly and great with our son! He's been going since 1 (3 now) and LOVES going to the dentist because of how great Dr. Jen & team do with him. The office is so cute and more than kid friendly! 10/10 recommend!!

Dr. Jen is truly amazing! My daughter had a dental emergency while she was on vacation and Dr. Jen called us back to tell me what needed to be done. She truly cares for her patients! The office staff is also wonderful! Everyone really cares about making the visits less stressful for the parents and easy for the kids. My son loves going to the dentist because they are so good at calming him down and even distracting him with toys and goodies.
