A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Today Dr. Peterson is a well-respected and active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Peterson earned his bachelors degree at the University Of California Los Angeles.Dr. Peterson and his team at Brea Dental Group offer the highest level of care, providing patients with state-of-the-art technology and techniques for the utmost effective diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Peterson is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles and patient care.Dr. Peterson has been married for several years and has two children he adores and loves spending time with. In his free time he enjoys playing beach volleyball, basketball, going to church, and family outings.
Dr. Chiappone joins us from Northern California where he operated three orthodontic practices in the Sacramento area. He has over two decades of patient care experience as an orthodontist, dentist, and emergency medical technician (EMT). Dr. C was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Alameda, California. He played football in high school and college (UC Santa Barbara), completed his dental training in New York City (Columbia University) and his orthodontic training in San Francisco (University of the Pacific). Dr. C also works for the U.S. Air Force as a reserve officer, and he continues to train once a month at March Air Reserve Base, Riverside. He has deployed on humanitarian and medical training missions in Africa, Europe and Central America. Dr. C is delighted to be of service to the patients and families at Brea Dental Group as he returns to Southern California. In his free time, he visits family and friends, exercises and plays the piano.
Grant Jong, D.M.D., graduated from Bostons Tufts School of Dentistry with Honors in 1994. He completed his oral surgery residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York, and a postgraduate fellowship in dental implants. Dr. Jong is a member of several prestigious organizations, including Inter-continental Congress of Oral Surgeons, The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, and the American Dental Association. He is licensed to administer anesthesia and has established a great reputation with patients and the dental community through his caring, professional treatment. Dr. Jong enjoys the coastal California lifestyle and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Darren Smolkin, DDS, received his undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from McGill University and completed his graduate training in endodontics (root canal therapy) from the University of Southern California in 1997. His goal is to provide the highest quality of pain-free dental treatment. Dr. Smolkin uses the latest in dental technology to perform root canal therapy that allows treatments to be more predictable, comfortable, and completed in less time.
Jon Koh, RDH, earned his Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree, with a Golden Scaler award, from West Coast University. He is certified in CPR, laser therapy, local anesthesia, and administration of nitrous oxide. He is commited to providing gentle and thorough dental hygiene care while creating long lasting patient-clinician relationships to all of his patients. Today Jon is an active member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and California Dental Hygiene Association. Jon is also a Polynesian Dancer in his spare time performing all the way from LA to Orange County and Inland Empire. While he isnt practicing his polynesian dances you can find him at the beach or traveling to different parts of the world.

Upon my referral to Delta dental they responded quickly with urgency and concern. They were very professional and treated me with courtesy and respect. The dentist who evaluated my issue was knowledgeable articulate listened to me and offered thorough explanations of my condition. The experience was very satisfying

I've always had very bad anxiety about going to the dentist, but they made me feel so safe and comfortable . After about 10 minutes my anxiety went away. They were very understanding and caring. Talked me through everything. Thank you so much for everything

Highly recommend! Incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I very much appreciate the straightforward information and honest diagnosis. No unnecessary treatment was suggested. I searched my dental insurance site for an office with a board certified endodontist. Dr. Peterson and his crew were so friendly and caring. So grateful.

I used to love Brea Dental. However, the service throughout the facility has fallen off the last 4-5 years. Not sure what's been going on, but it's really disappointing. From the constant up-selling, waiting, rough treatments to estimating misinformation. I thought I had found a dentist for life and now I have to go shopping again. :(

If you are looking for an orthodontist, you cannot do better than Dr. Chiappone. My daughter's previous orthodontist had recommended an expander followed by jaw surgery, which was the standard "cookbook " recommendation. Thank goodness I brought her to Dr. Chiappone for a second opinion first! She completed treatment with Dr. C without needing an expander, and with no surgery. She is now 7 years post-treatment and has a beautiful smile with no problems! Now it is my turn in the patient's chair, with problems of overcrowding causing my teeth to chip from constant scraping. Once again, Dr. Chiappone to the rescue! Dr. C formulated a unique treatment plan that is succeeding, again without the instrusive measures that computer models recommended. This is one reason Dr. C is the best! As my daughter noted, Dr. C looks at each person's mouth as a special project that he takes a personal interest in solving. He is extremely intelligent and creative, and thinks outside the box to devise unique solutions that other "by-the-book" orthodontists don't bother to put any energy into going beyond. The other reason Dr. C is so great is that he is the nicest, warmest, friendliest person you'd ever hope to meet. It is a pleasure and a fun experience to go to an appointment when you know you get to see Dr. C. If you or your kids need orthodontic work, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Chiappone! Do yourself and your mouth a big favor, and go see him!

We love Brea Dental Group!! They are so awesome and make you feel so comfortable and welcomed. My daughter got her braces a few weeks ago and they were able to get her right in when one of her wires broke. If you are looking for braces or a great dentist, Brea Dental Group is the best place around!!

Well ... here's what happened to me . I didn't have Dental Insurance at the time . I had a Gold Crown come loose from a Root Canal I had when I was 12 , they fixed that and I paid them upfront. They told me I also had a tooth that had a hairline crack and needed to be removed and have a Implant put in. I paid a Dental Guy that came on certain days there $ 175.00 to pull the tooth and also paid $ 1200.00 Hundred Dollars upfront they wanted to make the tooth and was told a few days later I need to get a screw put in at somewhere else pay that at another Dental Office then come back to them and they make the tooth and screw it in . Well I changed my mind and asked for my money back . They wouldn't give my money back and said if you go and get the screw will make the tooth and install it , I said I have to move soon , they said you paid for this I said but I have had nothing done... I called back month later and said again I want my money back they said No !! Its been 19 years now , never got my money back from them and still a empty spot where they pulled the tooth. I got screwed alright....they have $ 1200.00 Dollars of my hard earned money for free....all I wanted was my money back they said " No " I didn't know what to do cause within days I had to move to Las Vegas it still bugs me after all these years I woke up from a nap today thinking about it again....I just didn't know what to do ? I did know I was very hurt and upset wanted nothing to do with them anymore...they must be very happy when this happened....please Dental Charts are still there and payments by Law for Forensic ABILITIES , I still want my money as nothing was done....Can someone help me with this.....please

I LOVE this office. Clean. Friendly. They aren't trying to scam you into stuff all the time (Like most of the dentists back in the Antelope Valley). They treat you like a person and don't rush through everything. If you hate shots or are nervous about going to the dentist, these folks are super nice!
