Dr. Gardner attended Southern Arkansas University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1994. He accepted a commission in the US Army Dental Corps at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEDG) program before serving as the commander of several remote Army dental clinics in Germany.
In 2000, Dr. Gardner moved to San Antonio, Texasto further his education by attending an Orthodontic residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center.After his residency, he moved back to Ft. Campbell to serve as Chief of Orthodontics and Director of Orthodontic Education at the same AEGDprogram he had attended nine years earlier.
He practiced and taught there for several years before returning to San Antonio to accept thepositions of Director of Training and Clinical Director at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program, with the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School. Throughout his career, Dr. Gardner has helped to train numerous orthodontists, all of whom he proudly regards as colleagues.
Dr. Gardner is the past President of the Brazos Valley District Dental Societyand a member of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the Spear Study Club. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Education Association, and AAO Society of Orthodontic Educators. He has authored andco-authored articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Angle Orthodontist.

I joined Brazos Valley Orthodontics in 2017. I take care of our patients billing and am their liaison in working with their insurance. I enjoy working with patients and helping them sort through the financial aspect of their treatment. Our team has created an honest work environment where we genuinely care about our patients and each other.
I am a licensed veterinary technician and love my family, which includes my husband, two kids, and two dogs. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and gardening, along with anything outdoors. I also run the nonprofit organization for my husbands company for Brazos County.
I work closely with Dr. Gardner and our team to guarantee a great patient experience, both by managing the business side of the practice and marketing and promoting our business in the community. I meet with many of our new patients and families, who come into our office looking for a practice that will put their needs first. Here at BVO, we treat patients like family and welcome them with open arms.
Ive been married to Dr. Gardner for a quarter century and we have three wonderful children. In our free time, we enjoy traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and being involved in our community.
I am fairly new to the BVO team, but not new to orthodontics. I have beenpart of the orthodontic field since 1994 and love working with patients. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my two kids and husband. I am excited to be a part of this team and seeing lives change as we improve smiles.
I recently joined the BVO team and I have loved every minute. I am a senior at Texas A&M studying biomedical sciences. I hope to continue my education after undergrad at a dental school to pursue a career as an orthodontist.
I am excited to be part of the BVO team. Working here gives me the opportunity to create relationships with my patients and coworkers while working toward my dental field dream of becoming a dental hygenist. I look forward to creating the best experience for my patients and helping them achieve the best smile possible.

Dr. Gardiner and his team have been taking care of me for two years. My case was a major one and they have been courteous, attentive, and open to my questions and concerns. Teri, their receptionist, is super welcoming and kind, and has helped me with scheduling countless times especially around my busy work schedule and when I've needed same day visits over broken brackets (because it happens when you're not careful with what you eat or just on accident). The staff is friendly and I have had great conversations! I'm grateful for their patience, attention, answers to my questions, and flexibility with scheduling.

I was referred to BV Orthodontics by my dentist I order to repair a broken retainer. I was able to easily make an appointment and have the issue with my retainer completely taken care of. The entire staff was extremely kind and professional. Can certainly recommend Brazos Valley Orthodontics.

Impressed with the level of customer care I received from all staff. State of the art equipment. Dr. Gardner was great. Unlike other medical professionals that seem to only be able to spend a cursory length of time with patients, Dr. Gardener took plenty of time to explain the reason for my symptoms and the options that could be explored to remedy them.
