Our office is unique in that we utilize the Patient Manager System, which Dr. Bray first implemented and now presents to other orthodontists, helping them to use the system in their office. When you come to our office, you will be assigned to a patient manager. Your patient manager works with the doctor and will see you each time you come to the office for a visit. By having your own patient manager, you are able to form a relationship with the person who knows all about your treatment.
We are a strong team that works together to provide the best orthodontic treatment to our favorite member of our team: YOU! We hold many staff meetings and retreats to continue to communicate the need of our patients to each other and to consistently provide treatment in the best possible manner.
Karen has been part of the Brayces team since 1981. She is a Certified Dental and Orthodontic Assistant. As a patient manager, Karen works closely with her patients, one on one, making sure that each of her patients treatment is proceeding as scheduled. Throughout the years at Brayces, Karen has enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people that have come to the office and has made lasting friendships with many.
KC has been apart of the Brayces team since November 2000. As a Patient Manager, KC works closely, one on one with her patients, making sure that each patients progress is proceeding on schedule. It is obvious that KC enjoys her job and cares very much about her patients well being.
Kathy is a Patient Manager at Brayces. She has been working in the orthodontic field for many years. As an experienced professional, you can be assured that Kathy will maintain steady, thorough care during your orthodontic treatment with the best possible result. Kathy is happily married with two beautiful children. She keeps busy with volunteer work in the community and her childrens busy schedules.
Michele has enjoyed working closely with patientsof all ages atBrayces for many years. Sheis very proud to be a part of an office that excels to be the best at what they do by providing patients with excellent customer service and state of the art orthodontic care. The quality of these services is top notch due to the continued desire to provide the best orthodontic care possible and thedesire to stay educated on the newest technology. WhenMichele isnot workingshe enjoys spending time withher husband, son, and dogPoppy exploring the beauties of the shore.
Kimberly has been a part of the Brayces team since May 2009. Her duties at the office include meeting with new patients and their families to help guide them through the treatment process, explaining treatment plans and options, office policies, and presenting financial information. Kimberly finds it rewarding to know that she is contributing to so many healthy, beautiful smiles.
Andrea is a Treatment Coordinator at Brayces. She very much enjoys meeting new patients and their families. She finds it very rewarding to ease the anxiety that can be caused by treatment fears and overwhelming costs. After meeting with Andrea you will know all about the treatment process and Brayces affordable, interest-free monthly payments. Andrea enjoys spending all of her free time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Jennifer has been a member of the Brayces team since 2015. As one of the Financial Coordinators, she oversees patients financial accounts and is available 5 days a week to answer any financial questions or concerns regarding treatment. Jennifers 3 children are former patients of Dr. Bray & Dr. Tarby. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and most important spending time with her family.
Debbie started with the Brayces group in June 2012 as a bookkeeper. She is charged with ensuring that all of the vendor payments are timely, the deposits are recorded and the payroll is posted. Her type A personality guarantees that the accounts will be reconciled to the penny. Debbie enjoys spending her free time with her family. Interests include travel and reading.

Its more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment. Watch the two videos below on the proper care of braces during orthodontic treatment.
What can you eat? Lets talk about what you shouldnt eat! For the first day or so, stick to soft foods. Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables. Before long, youll be able to bite a cucumber again. But youll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as youre wearing braces.
When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for 3 5 days. Take Tylenol or whatever you normally take for headache or discomfort. The lips, cheeks and tongue may also become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become accustomed to the braces. We will supply wax to put on the braces in irritated areas to lessen discomfort.
To successfully complete orthodontic treatment, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands or other appliances as prescribed. Lack of cooperation following instructions and damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time so please follow instructions.

My kids used this office decades ago and now it is my turn with Invisalign braces ( I am 67 years old). I have now been under treatment for 18 months and each and every visit is nothing but top notch professionalism. I couldn't be more happy with the results I am seeing, and I would rate this office and professional staff SIX STARS !!! I would do a television commercial if they asked me to !!!

As far as customer and patient service goes, Brayces leads the way. Dr. Tarby and the others on staff are the kind of doctors you wish existed in all practices. The kindness and easy exchange in conversation disarms any anxiety you may have toward orthodontics, and the full staff is top notch. They go above and beyond to meet your needs and to make you feel like every patient matters. I drive a distance so my children can have the same great experience I also had so many years ago.

I absolutely love Brayces! Dr. Tarby and his entire staff are all amazing. So professional and also so kind and friendly. No one could get a better experience than what this team gives. My aging teeth have responded beautifully to invisalign treatment as well. I was so surprised to actually have an in- office appointment last week. Everyone followed all the guidelines recommended due to Covid 19. An online questionnaire was sent out prior to the appointment, followed by questions of exposure possibilities and general health questions. Only one patient was being seen at a time with a temperature check getting done upon entering the office. There was plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the office. Before the actual mouth examination, I was given an antimicrobial mouth rinse to use as a safety precaution for the hygenists and doctors. I really admired the diligence that this practice exercised to help keep all of us safe. They are not just Covid 19 safety great. They are great all the time!
