Dr. Nathan Braverman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he spent his first eleven years. He then moved to Portland, Oregon where he finished grade school and High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1992. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training was completed in 1999 at Northwestern University Dental School. During his training he also graduated with an M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in 1996. He met his wife, Wendy, a Chicago native during his training. Dr. Braverman began practicing in Highland Park in 2002. He is afilliated with several hospitals including the North Shore University Health System: Evanston, Skokie, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals,Presence St. Francis Hospital, and Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. Dr. Braverman is board certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Posting by patient Rebecca O'Connell: Dr. Braverman was on call the weekend I was admitted to Evanston Hospital with a fractured jaw. He contacted me on Friday evening, patiently answered all my questions, called my dentist at my request, gave me his cell phone number, and talked to me again at 9:00 pm when I used it ! I met Dr. Braverman at noon on Saturday. Soon afterwards I had surgery during which he extracted a cracked molar and placed the wires and screws which healed my jaw. My post- operative visits to the Highland Park office were most satisfactory. The staff was efficient, pleasant, and helpful, and the office Covid - prevention protocol was excellent. During my five visits, Dr. Braverman did an outstanding job of keeping me informed and comfortable. When I recently saw the dentist who will provide care to some damaged teeth, he assessed Dr. Braverman's repair and alignment of my jaw as " perfect " ! I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Braverman to anyone in need of the services he provides.

Dr. Braverman himself is wonderful and he's supported by excellent support staff. All my interactions with everyone have been informative, respectful, and timely. They are very transparent about costs, alternatives, and expectations. Whatever your basis for choosing an oral surgeon/practice, they deliver.

Dr. Braverman and staff are incredible caring people. Dr. Braverman explain the procedure and talked me through it! I had two molars extracted and bone replacement graft for new posts. Never was l uncomfortable or in pain. The healing was amazing, no problems or complications throughout. Dr. Braverman was highly recommended to me and I am so thankful!!! Great team! Thank you. My experience with Dr. Braverman was very satisfactory. His assistant explained exactly what would happen during my procedure. Dr. Braverman was excellent with the procedure and with attention to my comfort.

Dr. Braverman is fantastic, He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and took his time to make sure that I understood everything he discussed. He recommended that I have physical therapy for my issue, and my physical therapist commented that he had never seen such a thorough report from any other oral surgeon. Also, Dr. Braverman's office staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. If you need an oral surgeon, Dr. Braverman definitely is the one to choose.

Dr. Braverman is a caring and highly qualified oral surgeon. We've had three of our children see Dr. Braverman. Details were clearly laid out regarding post-surgery instructions. No issues.

Very professional office. I have had two procedures here and the Doctor was excellent with both of them. On the day after my procedure from yesterday I have minimal pain and it was an extensive procedure. I highly recommend this office.

My experience was wonderful because I don't remember a thing LOL. Pain was minimal 24 hours later. Dr. Braverman gave it to me straight and had my best interest at heart. Being the biggest chicken in the world it was a good experience.

Dr Braverman is very thorough and carefully explained the options for the procedure that was needed. The first phase of the treatment plan went off without a hitch and the first follow up visit showed things were proceeding as we had hoped. Dr Braverman is a "good guy", is easy to work with, and does good work.

Dr Braverman, has to be one of the very nicest physicians I have ever met. I met Dr. Braverman for the very first time yesterday 4/19/2022 at 3:45 pm. I told him my situation and anxiety. He told me he would do the surgery right away. Dr. Braverman is professional and considerate. I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. He stayed late after his staff had left to complete the surgery. I have yet to feel any pain and it is almost 24 hours since the surgery. Dr. Braverman gave me a follow up call this morning. I recently saw Dr. Braverman for a dental procedure and highly recommend him. It was a smooth process from the start. Scheduling with him was easy and convenient. The procedure itself was painless and quick and he was kind enough to call me a few hours afterwards to check up on me. I'm recovering well and would recommend him for anyone needing a dental surgeon.

Came in today to pull a tooth out and this oral surgeon was so polite and full Disclosure . He said you will Feel pain and then some . Upon removal of tooth he noticed a cist I had that was bothering my wisdom tooth. So he removed that also . He called up a few hours later asking how I am. Any pain any bleeding . Not many people let alone surgeons do this anymore . God bless this man and his professionalism . Highly recommended
