A Passion for Dentistry I see my opportunity to practice dentistry as a great privilege. Building relationships with people, in a capacity where I am able to support and improve their quality of life, makes for a fulfilling profession.

It is my goal to serve people in a way that makes a difference. I have a commitment to excellent health-centered dental care, and always make every effort to understand the unique oral health goals of each patient. I know that preventive and restorative dental care has a transformative impact on a persons life.

My patients place confidence in my ability to provide the best dental care available, and I take their confidence seriously. A deeply held sense of responsibility compels me to a strong commitment for continual professional development. I obtained my license to practice dentistry in 2005, but will continue my status as a student of dentistry until the day I retire.

The love of my life, Shelley, and I have been married for more than 25 years. We have one child away at college, and the other three attend Petoskey schools. The kids keep us busy with their ever-expanding interests. We all love being outdoors, and enjoy all the benefits offered by living in our beautiful part of the world.

Dr. Brantly has thoughtfully and carefully assembled a team of support staff to ensure your visits are comfortable, your time is used wisely, and you are treated with the utmost respect. We understand you have a choice when it comes to dental care in Petoskey, and our goal is to create a comfortable, stress-free dental experience.

In recent months I have experienced major dental problems. Fortunately, I have been cared for by Dr. Brantly and his staff, whom I have found to be very professional with a genuine interest and attention to my personal needs and comfort. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of this dental practice.

As the first face you see when you arrive at our office, my goal is to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We want to give our patients the best service possible in and out of the dental chair. My degree is from Calvin College and I have a diverse background with a variety of living and work experiences, but I have always been service and caring for people-driven. I am grateful to be invited to work with Dr. Brantly and with a team that is dedicated to the same mission.

Outside the office, I am a new mom of a teen, who came to live with me at the beginning of this year. I enjoy reading, spending quality time with friends and family, the great outdoors, and new adventures.

I graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2012 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I truly feel lucky to work with such an amazing team! Everyone at Petoskey Family Dental Care is passionate about what they do and strive to do thier very best. Dr. Brantly is very caring and conscientious and strives to help his patients to achieve a healthy smile. Although there are many things that I enjoy about being a Dental Hygienist, my favorite is meeting new people and helping them improve their overall health.

I was briefly a dental assistant right out of high school and my passion to help patients drove me to continue my education towards dental hygiene. I graduated with honors from Ferris State University in 2018. Following graduation, I got some major experience working in the Metro- Detroit and Grand Rapids area before returning to my roots in Northern Michigan. I was beyond thankful to join such a welcoming team that strives for ultimate success in patient care. Dr. Brantly and his team work diligently to care for all patients to improve their overall health and well-being. I am proud to say I am a member of that team! My favorite thing about being a hygienist is seeing the transformations in patients from the beginning to the end of treatment. The feeling of overwhelming satisfaction and success is worth the work.

Im so happy to have joined this great team. Dr. Brantly and the rest of the staff do an amazing job at making sure everyone has a painless and comfortable dental experience. As the sterilization tech, I make sure all the instruments are cleaned and sanitized and each patient is walking into a fully sterilized room.

I graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in education. While I loved teaching, Im also passionate about dentistry. I believe if people are educated about their oral health, they can make better decisions about their dental care. A gentle touch and a friendly chairside manner help patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their visit. My goal is for each patient to experience exceptional care; I want to be a part of that process.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dr. Brantly, and our four children. Our children are involved with multiple school and community activities like tennis, skiing, music and theater. We enjoy the connections and relationships that are a benefit of living in a small community.

I graduated from Harding University with a degree in Human Resource Management. Im usually working behind the scenes keeping the office books, providing IT support, and handling general management duties, but I still try to meet our patients and talk with them. I want them to know we appreciate the trust they place in us. I really enjoy working with Dr. Brantly and all of the team. They care, are supportive, and hardworking. Together, we all strive to provide the best patient care and dental experience for our patients. Each of us on the team is here to help, whatever a patient needs, and that makes ours an exceptional office.

At our office, Dr. Brantly and our team honestly care about each of our patients. The persons needs are whats important to us, and we work to make sure they have an excellent visit every time. I verify patients dental insurance, create and maintain coverage books that help us know how much various policies cover, and am assisting with making our office go paperless. Im always here to help my team members and our patients, whatever they need.

Im single, and own 12 birds, who are my pride and joy. I have a type of muscular dystrophy that keeps me in a wheelchair, but I do exercise, and love running video for services at the Petoskey Church of Christ.
