Dr. Vatavuk always had a good relationship with his dentist while growing up, but it wasnt until he reached college and grappled with the question of what his future career should be that he realized just how much this type of work would suit him. Hes always been strong in math and sciences, and he loved the idea of having a career that centered around helping others and working directly with his hands. Almost a decade later, he still feels confident he made the right decision!
After studying at the University of California at San Diego, Dr. Vatavuk achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California. While at the university, he received an award for excellence in oral and maxillofacial pathology. Today, he enjoys staying current in new dental techniques and attends continuing education courses whenever possible. Hes also an active member of both the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
Dr. Vatavuk is married to his amazing wife Lauren, and they have two wonderful children together named Kristian and Mateo. As family, they love vacationing on the beautiful Adriatic Sea and in Croatia, where his parents are from. Some of his favorite hobbies include watching Bay Area sports, staying active, and trying new eateries hes always open to suggestions from patients!

Janet has been our very dedicated full time Front Office Administrator since 2003, though she has been in the dental profession for 25+ years. She began her dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant for 9+ years, before working at the front office of a busy group dental office for 6+ years. She has enjoyed working in both orthodontic and general dental offices because it has enabled her not only to help patients, but also to get to know them as well. Janet says she appreciates Dr. Vatavuk 's impeccable work ethics, the quality of his work, his thoroughness in educating his patients, and his pure passion and love of dentistry.'
Marjorie graduated with a D.M.D. degree from Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines. She immigrated to the U.S. and obtained her Registered Dental Assisting license in 1989, and has been assisting since then. Marjorie has also taught in the Dental Assisting Program of Everest College and Unitek College in San Jose. She loves dentistry and is very passionate about what she does. She is happiest when she sees patients completely happy with their smiles when leaving the dental office. Marjorie says, Dr. Vatavuk is the epitome of excellence in the quality and delivery of dental work. His passion for dentistry, genuine care for his patients, attention to detail, work ethics, and great sense of humor are unparalleled.
Pamela, the 'daughter' of our dental office, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of the Pacific in 2012 and has been an enthusiastic member of our team since that time. Not only did she pass her Western Regional Dental Hygiene boards with a perfect score of 100, she has always been known as a 'people person' and loves her chosen profession. She will be eager to make your hygiene experience as comfortable and thorough as she can.

Excellent dentist: needed a crown; work and results top notch; all work done by Dr Vatavuk and his dentistry superb. Dental hygienist Pam is also the best ever. Office and entire staff wonderful.

Everything about Dr. Vatavuk's office is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I have been here a handful of times for cleanings (+ more) in the past 2 years and have always has positive experiences. Dr. Vatavuk and his staff have always been patient, professional, honest, friendly and warm with great bedside manners. Their pricing is fair and I've always felt I was in safe and secure hands. I love coming here so much that I actually prefer a dental cleaning over a spa day, haha.

Pam has been my hygienist for nearly ten years, and she's the best one I've ever had. Not only are my teeth painlessly cleaner when I leave; she also motivates me to clean them more thoroughly on my own. AND she's interesting to talk to!

The entire team at Dr. Vatavuk's dental office is marvelous. I was just there for my regular 6-month cleaning and prophylaxis, and their continued excellent care won me a great report card! Janet runs the front office, and she is super friendly and efficient, very kind to bill my dental insurance right away. I never have any problems with getting claims covered. Pamela is my dental hygienist, and besides doing a great job cleaning and checking my teeth every visit, she's fun to talk with. (Yes, it is possible to talk a bit). As always, Dr. Vatavuk came in afterwards with a warm greeting. He asked me about any health updates of which he should be aware, and when prompted, I did think of an important one I would otherwise have forgotten. He checked my teeth and gums and my whole mouth, which I know is critical to excellent dental care. He is always very gentle and thoughtful. Overall, I give this office an A+ all around. My whole family goes there, and we trust them completely. Big thanks to Dr. Vatavuk and Janet and Pamela!

I really appreciate Dr. Vatavuk's office and staff. They are all genuinely inviting and welcoming. Janet always greets me immediately and is completely attentive. The office itself is really clean and organized and there is parking for patients in the back. The email and text reminders are super helpful too! Pam and Dr. Vatavuk do my cleanings and check ups and I always feel well taken care of. They explain everything they do and make sure they cover any questions I have. I'll continue to come back to their office and thank them for providing consistent service from the start to finish of my appointments.

My experience at Dr. Branimir Vatavuk's dental office was truly amazing! First, his office is in a quaint neighborhood in Palo Alto. Then stepping into his clean, cozy reception area, I was greeted by his warm, friendly, efficient office manager. I had no wait time, had X-rays of my teeth, by his assistant, cleaning by a friendly hygienist another highly skilled member of his staff! Finally, Dr. Vatavuk's friendly, kind manner made my dental visit so enjoyable! He was thorough showed precision, skill, and knowledge when analyzing each and every one of my teeth. I would highly recommend Dr. Branimir Vatavuk to my friends, family, and anyone looking for a quality dentist!
