In April 2019, Dr. Jill L. Garrido, an American Board of Pediatric Dentistry-certified dentist with over 10 years of experience in Greater Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, launched Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry (BPD). Today, we remain single-doctor owned, specialty-trained and focused exclusively on the dental care of children from infants through teenagers. We believe instilling confidence in young patients is key to ensuring long-term good oral health outcomes. So we go out of our way to partner with parents and caretakers on the common goal of building a childs confidence through delivering a positive experience on each and every visit to our office.
This starts with making your child feel comfortable during their visit. So we pay attention to the mental and emotional needs of young patients alongside their dental needs. This is important to the success of the childs first visit and every visit thereafter because positive healthcare experiences early on in a childs life can help ensure better, long-term outcomes even outside of dentistry.
Since preventing dental decay and cavities is our first area of focus, we will work with you and your child to educate you on the most effective dental hygiene techniques and to implement a regular dental hygiene routine centered on good dietary choices, daily flossing and brushing, twice-a-year dental check-ups and professional cleanings in our office. With this approach we aim to stop dental decay before it even starts and ensure a healthy smile for your child.
Finally, we understand that cavities happen. Even with the best of intentions and the most consistent dental hygiene routines, its impossible to get all the sugar bugs. So when we have to intervene and fill a cavity, put in a crown or extract a tooth, we do not judge and promise to find the least-invasive solution to treat the decay and restore your childs smile with patience, kindness and compassion.
Dr. Jill established Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry in 2019. She is a graduate of University of the Pacifics Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and did her pediatric dental residency at St. Christophers Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. BlaireStoveld (Dr. Blaire)is excited to join Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry and serve the patients of Wilmington and beyond as a pediatric dental specialist! Dr. Blaire is a board-eligible pediatric dentist, with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Her education includes a Bachelors in both Political Sciences and International Business & Health Affairs at Gettysburg College where she graduated with Cum Laude honors. Additionally, she completed a Post-Baccalaureate program at Drexel University with Magna Cum Laude honors, before receiving her Doctorate Degree with Cum Laude & Community Health honors at The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Blaire completed her residency at Temple University Hospital where she achieved her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Pediatric Dental Association, as well as the Delaware State Dental Society. Before attending dental school, Dr. Blaire spent five years in Wilmington with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, and is very excited to return!
Dr. Blaires practice philosophy is heavily focused on building relationships with her patients and their families, centered around empathy,compassion, and fun! She enjoys educating the families she sees on preventative dental care and feels lucky to be able to have such a rewarding role in her patients health care and personal journeys. In her spare time, you will find Dr. Blaire playing with her three young children, cheering on her husband on the golf course, riding her peloton or taking a fitness class, walking Bunker, the family Bernedoodle, indulging in her guiltypleasure of Netflix and Bravo TV, or trying a new restaurant!

Great experience. Everyone is so kind and caring! The doctor and her staff are so patient and gentle. They were very friendly and explained everything to my daughter in a way that made her feel comfortable.

I can't thank Dr. Blaire and Wendy enough for the care they provided for my son. They made him feel comfortable and got him through a really difficult time with an infected tooth. He needed emergency care and then follow up visit for an in office procedure. At both visits staff was very warm and welcoming. Everyone was so good with kids. Lamara helped me understand insurance coverage and cost of treatment. Very professional, honest and thorough care. After one visit, my son and I feel trust in care given here. Thank you BPD!!

John is always wearing of visiting the dentist prior to his appointment. However, as soon as we enter the room of Brandywine pediatric dentistry all his fears and nervousness fades away when he sees the smiling faces of the wonderful staff! This office is always so bright, fun and positive! The hygienist Jillian is AMAZING, FAST AND THOROUGH! She makes time to listen to our concerns as well as make sure we are informed of the overall dental health of our children! Our dentist is also phenomenal; so informative, cheerful and positive! They always make my children comfortable and they make their smiles super bright HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office! Oh and I can't forget to mention, getting an appointment here is hassle free and accommodating!

Amazing experience. This was my girls first time at the dentist and I think I was more nervous than she was. Everyone made us comfortable starting with the big smiles on the faces of the receptionists! The cute books in the waiting area while we waited were a nice touch and of course we left with frozen stickers, my girl loves Elsa. Dr Jill was warm and helped me understand my toddlers oral health better. The dental hygienist was so funny & kind, we already scheduled her 6 month check up. Parents I highly recommend this office for your babies:)

Amazing staff! Everyone was very friendly and kind! Office was nice and clean. Dentist was so nice and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. I came out with so much more knowledge and my 7 year old was so impressed and said they were all nice. 5 star all the way

Id say it was a friendly and welcoming warm atmosphere except for whomever picked the phone up when I called about my daughter. Whoever is ghetto answering calls and cutting people off and being rude before transferring us to someone else? I was shaking furious after trying to call for my daughter. That's ridiculous. I was nothing but polite and meek and well spoken. I did NOT deserve to be talked to like that!!! GO BACK TO THE GHETTO receptionist!!!! I gave 3 stars because I loved everyone else. But that is unacceptable.

I brought my 10 & 8 year old kiddos in to see Dr. Blaire and she is the BEST!!! She is unbelievably patient, funny and so good with children. My kids loved her and were so happy with their experience!! She gave great advice for brushing & flossing, and reiterated it to my kids and they paid close attention! I highly highly recommend Dr. Blaire to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

My 2 year old had an amazing experience at Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry. It started in the waiting room, they have such a welcoming and kid friendly environment. The hygienist was amazing, so patient and kind. Lastly, the dentist was great with my daughter and made her feel so comfortable when she was a little hesitant at first.

I can't say enough about this place. My 7 y/o daughter loathes brushing her teeth and has been unsuccessful at two other dental offices. Dr. Jill and staff, not only cleaned my daughter's teeth, but she wants to go monthly. As we drove away, she said, "this is my forever dentist". You may be the only pediatric dentist seeing a 40 y/o in the future.

The staff was wonderful with my kids from the moment we walked through the door until the minute we left. I was beyond impressed with the thorough explanation of our treatment plan with the doctor. My daughter expressed her happiness while we were there. I am so happy to have found this office!
