Dr. Brandyberry earned his undergraduate degree from High Point University in 2000. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2004. He fell in love with the triad area during his time at HPU and always knew he wanted to come back after completing Dental School training. After completing his studies, he served as a dentist for the United States Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina before moving to the Thomasville area and joining what was originally known as McGhee & Associates in 2005.

Dr. Brandyberry has spent numerous hours in specialized educational courses in order to better serve his patients. He is a certified Invisalign doctor and uses a series of clear retainers to straighten teeth. He is also proficient at placing and restoring most implants. He is a graduate of the Dawson Academy, where he has learned to manage joint and bite disorders. Dr. Amelia Wan joined Dr. Brandyberrys practice in 2012. She grew up in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. She then went to the University of Toronto to study dentistry. During her studies, she was privileged to be selected as one of four students to travel on an externship grant to experience dentistry in Holland. Dr. Wan graduated from dental school with honors in 2006, and was recognized as the most outstanding student in Periodontics, andOperative Dentistry.

She went on to expand her skills in an optional residency program at the University of Florida St. Petersburgs Dental Clinic. She completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and took the position of Assistant Director and Clinical Assistant Professor the following year. Dr. Wan supervised residents, provided patient care in the Faculty practice and assisted the Director with a rigorous and successful re-Accreditation of the residency program. Dr. Wan went back home to British Columbia to work for a large private practice and eventually followed her husband down to North Carolina. During her first year settling down and preparing for the licensing exam in North Carolina, she was granted a temporary volunteer license to give back to the community.

Her dedication to provide her patients with up-to-date services is exemplified in her lifelong commitment to learning. To name a few, she has taken courses with renowned dental academies such as the Dawson Academy to master bite relationships, expand her knowledge on oral sedation, cosmetic dentistry, and became an Invisalign provider. Her residency year built experience with implants and complex full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Wan utilizes her training to educate her clients on their condition and their treatment options with the aim of long term health, and she will take into consideration each individuals wants and needs. Dr. Grant Hardesty recently joined Dr. Brandyberrys practice. He was born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up in Greensboro. He attended Westchester Country Day School and has been a part of the Triad community for over twenty years. Dr. Hardesty earned a BA in Biology from UNC Chapel Hill, then furthered his studies with a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Biochemistry at UNC Greensboro. At UNCG he worked in the Reddick Biochemistry lab and has published research.

He then attended dental school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida with an externship year in Erie, Pennsylvania. As a part of the inaugural class at LECOM, Dr. Hardesty was able to help shape the curriculum of his school.

After dental school, Dr. Hardesty attended East Carolina for an additional year of training in their Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. This year included extensive experience in specialty treatments. He then spent two and half years in private practice in Reidsville before joining Drs Brandyberry and Wan. Rebuilding smiles is the biggest passion of Dr. Hardesty and he especially enjoys serving the community in which he grew up.

Renee is a 1986 graduate of GTCC and has been working as a certified dental assistant for more than 30 years, 29 of which have been in our practice. She is proficient with all the dental procedures performed in our practice and helps in every aspect of dentistry. Renee is an expert dental assistant who is always very intuitive to the patient's feelings. She has a way of making patients feel comfortable and at ease.In her personal time she enjoys gardening, traveling, reading and most of all spending time with her family

Kristie Hill joined our staff directly from dental hygiene school at Guilford Technical Community College and has worked as a dental hygienist in our office since 1989. Kristie's sweet, warm personality puts the patients at ease immediately. Her skills include routine cleaning of teeth, as well as more complicated procedures to treat gum disease. Kristie enjoys her work and is a devoted family person.

Sarah has been involved in dentistry since she was seventeen years old when she was involved in the Career Co-op Program at Thomasville Senior High. While in high school she worked for Dr. McGhee helping the front office with clerical and administrative duties. She later attended Guilford Technical Community College and graduated from the Dental Assisting Program as a Certified Dental Assistant. Sarah then went on to graduate from the Dental Hygiene Program. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 38 years. She has worked a total of 29 years for Dr. McGhee and Dr. Brandyberry. Her years of experience have enhanced her skills at routine dental hygiene and in handling patients with periodontal disease. Sarah is very committed to educating her patients about good dental health. Her personality is warm, friendly, and, very compassionate. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking traveling, and helping others.

Katie grew up locally in Lexington, NC. She received her dental training at Guilford Technical Community College in 2008 and has worked at Brandyberry and Associates enriching patient's lives all of her dental career. She is a certified dental assistant. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband Shane and family along with enhancing others health as a Zumba and Pound Fitness instructor. Her favorite part of dental assisting is helping others grow confident and happy in their smiles and providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere while doing it. One of Katie's favorite verses is 1 Corinthians 16:14-Let all that you do be done in love.

Beth is a certified dental assistant and has worked in dentistry since 1994. She is extremely capable and proficient in her job and enjoys educating patients. She is eager to answer any and all questions patients may have about treatment and procedures. She has a great personality and the patients enjoy her vivacity.

Barbara has been a dental hygienist for over 35 years. She has tremendous expertise in all areas of dental hygiene, including routine cleanings, patient education, and the more difficult root planing procedures for patients with periodontal disease. Barbara has a sparkling personality and a great sense of humor that helps put the patients at ease. Her infectious laugh puts patients in good spirits.

Angi is our financial coordinator and has worked in our office since 2002. Angi and her husband Chris have two sons, Colt and Cyan. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and at church. She finalizes the paperwork and insurance coverage for patients at the end of the dental visit and collects any payments due. Angi facilitates any financial arrangements that may be necessary for patients needing extensive dental treatment and works diligently to help our patients maximize their insurance benefits. She has a warm and friendly personality and exhibits patience and professionalism in explaining financial details to our patients.

Laurie is a registered Dental Hygienist and a Certified Dental Assistant who has been practicing dental hygiene since 1984. She graduated with honors and earned her degrees from GTCC. Laurie is active in attending continuing education courses to advance her knowledge and skills to continue growing in her position, and is dedicated to building relationships with her patients while providing optimal dental care. She is married and has a daughter. Laurie is outgoing, friendly and always greets you with a smile.

Donna has been practicing dental hygiene since graduating GTCC in 1989. She is a valuable asset to our practice with her warm, compassionate personality as well as great clinical skills. She is primarily our new patient provider but also excels with periodontal (gum disease) treatment, and children/adult recalls. Donna is married, has a grown daughter and son-in-law, and a sweet granddaughter. She is an avid runner who likes doing 5Ks that give back to the community. She likes to read and spend time with family over home-cooked meals.

LaToya was raised in Burlington NC. She studied Dental Assisting at GTCC and graduated in 2011. LaToya has been in the dental field for the past 8 years and she landed here at Brandyberry & Associates in January 2019. She has an amazing personality and a contagious smile. LaToya provides excellent dental care and education with a caring touch. She makes sure all of her patients leave with a smile. When she is not working she enjoys shopping, cooking, and spending time with her three beautiful children Jorri, Jahren, and Kendyl.
