I would like to update my review from my prior review. I have changed my review to four stars for the main reason the owner Dr Derek who after seeing the review, called me and asked me if we can talk about why I gave the review that I did. So I went to his office and we discussed it and I decided that if somebody is professional and cares about his business enough to call, impressed me very much. So after meeting with Dr Derek and his whole staff and seeing the entire office facility I changed my review to four stars, and after I see the completed work on my teeth I feel it will probably go even higher.

While vacationing in the Vermont area I had a dental emergency and panicked being far away from home and also everywhere getting close to regular normal business closing hours. THANKFULLY we found Brandon Family Dentistry who are wonderfully open into early evening and contacted them and Dr. Jillian told me to come on in and was able to see me right away and performed the easiest and painless tooth extraction I think anyone could experience. Her and her staff were so warm and welcoming and they make you feel safe and taken care of. I wish she lived closer to me back home to be my permanent dentist! Thank you so much for seeing me on short notice! :)

The folks at BFD were incredibly courteous and accommodating! They took the time to explain which procedures would be the most beneficial and the motivation behind each. They have made patient comfort a priority and were incredibly welcoming. These factors along with their efficiency and precision made my experience at BFD quick, easy, and painless for which I am appreciative beyond words!

I had a great experience at this family office. Tina and Dr. Jillian were both super cordial and knowledgeable. They took the time to clearly explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. I left feeling as if I had a solid plan to improve my dental health. The office admin even sent an email within 24 hours with techniques and exercises to quell some jaw pain I have been experiencing. Highly recommend this practice! Thanks a million!

Took our dental care elsewhere. Treated disrespectfully. Dr. Jillian was very rude. Both Drs refused to prescribe antibiotic for spouse who has had knee replacement surgery. He must take antibiotic prior to dental procedures for life. New Dr. made certain he had taken meds before she would do any work and will give him a new script when it's time to renew. So refreshing. We recently had lunch with 10 folks. Someone asked if anyone knew anything about the new dentists in town. Of the 10, 6 had negative comments. Saw new dentist today. A great report. Periodontal procedure not even mentioned. Fillings all look good. All of this contrary to what BFD told me. Dr. J told me I had five fillings that needed to be replaced and it was critical I have periodontal work done immediately. I've never had a tooth ache, teeth are very firm and gums are healthy. Age 75+. Beware!

Dr. Jillian Snare was amazing when I went in in severe pain. She took care of any pain until I could get into an endodontist a month later. I would recommend this office to anyone!

When I called to discuss why they would not take my BCBS dental insurance, when Ben always did, I was treated with disrespect and she hung up the phone. I'm taking our dental work elsewhere.

It is shameful that Brandon's most at risk demographic has been expelled from this office due to it's failure to work with vt Medicaid. I hold the owners accountable, as it is clearly no fault of those being displaced. How tragic that an office founded by the revered Arden Hayden, a man who chose Brandon with a specific dedication to serve residents of the Brandon Training School, has come to THIS.

They claim they want to "support Brandon as it grows" and desire to "serve every patient," yet they won't take Medicaid and are extremely rude to the other tenants in the building who've been there much longer than they have. Says a lot about the character of these people. We were booted from this practice for being low income, but we would've switched anyway. Don't want them anywhere near our teeth.

I understand I am employed by Dr Derek and Jillian Snare, however, I have worked as a dental hygienist since 1991 for 7 other dentists within New England. As a team they are one of the highest trained professionals in multiple aspects of dentistry. It is encouraging to work for an office that offers not only general dentistry but multiple specialties as well. It is convenient for patients to receive treatment for all their oral health needs in one place. I also understand change is often challenging at times, but, I have observed and experienced for my own family kind dedicated professional treatment from both Dr Derek and Jillian Snare. They offer what is best for their patient's oral health. Let us welcome new young couple as entrepreneurs to our town of Brandon. We want new businesses to come to Vermont

I was very impressed with how thorough Dr. Jillian and Dr. Derick Snare were with pinpointing areas that needed attention before bigger problems arose. Being 60 years old some of my fillings that were put in 45 years ago were leaking and needed to be re-done. I had one tooth that had 3 cracks in it (which I could feel) It needed a crown. They did the crown first as it was needed the most. It was quite a procedure and I am not overly fond of having dental work done because of being hurt in the past by other dentists. These dentists showed me on the x-rays where the problem was and talked to me on how they were going to do the procedure. The way they handled the novocaine and making sure I didn't feel anything was wonderful. They are really up-to-date on new and improved methods of dentistry. One of my replaced fillings, that they redid, looked so good that I really couldn't tell it even had a filling. I think they are a real asset to the Brandon Community. Though your treatment was very professional and I was treated well, I had a strange visit. First, the office was VERY cold and I was told by owner that she would NOT turn on the heat. I needed a blanket to keep warm thru my cleaning. Second, I did not have a brushing after the cleaning which I thought was odd, because I have always had a brushing with a routine cleaning, but I did get a $40(!!) fluoride treatment that was hardly necessary. $40 is outrageous. I have no cavities and I'm not at risk of any due to my excellent dental history and current dental health. But since I did get one, shouldn't it have been applied to my molars where there is a small chance of decay and not my front teeth??? I asked the very young assistant who applied it if the fluoride soaked into the teeth. She did not know!!!! HUH?? Third, I told the hygienist that I use a fluoride rinse several times weekly. And she answered she wasn't sure how often I should use it!!!! Huh??? Sorry but I'm not happy. Goin' elsewhere. I do miss Dr. Lawton, he we very laid back, "non-corporate" and not out to make as much $'s from patients for treatments that weren't necessary.

Dr. Derek and Jillian Snare are providing proactive, preventative dental care to our region. Personal examples - Two family members have had work in the past six months at this practice. For one of us, this means working through some past dental trauma that has complicated other chronic health issues; the Snares are fully assessing the issue and providing much needed corrective procedures that already have made a positive difference. For the other family member, treatment is focused on how to care for middle aged teeth for overall health, given the aging process - and that is going very well. These two professionals are so knowledgeable and are ready to work toward the best dental picture and overall health potential for their patients. I highly recommend Drs. Derek and Jillian Snare.
