Despite being uncomfortable, dry mouth alone is not a severe issue as long as it is not persistent. If it is, it can lead to various long-term health issues, ranging from irritating to dangerous. Someone who suffers from chronic dry mouth will likely experience mouth sores, splits at the corners of the mouth, cracked lips, increased plaque buildup & a greater risk of tooth decay & gum disease. You might even start to have nutrition issues, because the lack of saliva makes it more difficult to break down food when you eat.

Even if your dry mouth does not seem to be persistent, it is important to stay on top of treating it. The good news is that treatment is simple for most cases of dry mouth. First, make sure you stay hydrated by sipping on water throughout the day. For your dental & overall health, you should drink lots of water anyway! Dehydration, which dry mouth can be a sign of, is a serious health risk.

Other simple things you can do to treat dry mouth include chewing sugarless gum & limiting the salt, sugar & caffeinated drinks in your diet. Some people might recommend sucking on an ice cube or sugarless hard candy, but this can actually damage your teeth, so dont do it! You can also purchase nonprescription saliva substitutes over the counter to reduce your current issues.

If you use tobacco or drink alcohol, cut back on those or find a way to quit. Even if you dont think smoking or drinking is the root cause, those activities can irritate a dry mouth, so you should limit or stop them entirely. Plus, theyre just bad for you!

The best treatment for dry mouth always depends on the specific cause, so if home remedies or over-the-counter solutions dont prevent your dry mouth, it can indicate a more serious underlying health issue. In serious cases it is best to visit a physician or dentist who can work with you to figure out the root cause of your dry mouth & help you treat it.

I want to start by saying I hate going to the dentist. I am very self conscious of my teeth. I love that they understand this and behave like humans not money grabbing goblins. I have had a removal, root canal, cap, and a few cleanings. All very reasonable priced. One of the few dentists i am comfortable with.

This place has pulled out my husbands tooth on 2 separate occasions and both times say they will send the prescriptions ( pain and antibiotics) over to the pharmacy. We go to pick it up and nothing is there. Hopefully there's no infection because it's Friday and absolutely no way to get a hold of any one. They just rip your tooth out and send you on your way here.

I saw Dr. Butala She was great with making sure I was comfortable and at ease however her work is horrible. It's been One year since she has done majority of my treatment and I have had a filling fall out twice!! I have 3 fillings that must be corrected and one that wasn't sealed correctly . I do NOT RECOMMEND !!! Find an experienced dentist

They made an appointment for me and when I got there I waited an hour and still didn't get to see the dentist. I finally just got up and left. Never going back.

This place is fantastic and will be getting all my oral hygiene business! I made an error and came in the day after my scheduled appointment. The staff were all very helpful in getting me seen the same day, but at a later time. They could of easily told me to come back in a few weeks. I really appreciate they saw me and I look forward to coming back in 6 months.

After an initial bad experience i went back in for my follow up. I was greeted by a happy employee who signed me in with a smile. I filled out two papers that had to do with Covid as soon as I turned them back into her not a minute later I was called back and greeted by the dentist and her assistant. I apologize I did not get their names. The dentist was very knowledgeable and the I believe assistant we will call her dentist jr was amazing and comforting. I was relaxed the whole time. Although at first I was told it would be a two hour process ended up being four I did not mind as I knew they were doing things right. I am confident you will have a great experience too. Before I left I booked for a cleaning! Thank you for fixing me up! There was a third lady that helped for a little thank you too :). Quick Efficient Knowledgeable Highly recommend coming here. Pictures of some flowers for the employees thanks guys.

(Translated by Google) Poor quality of service and attention from both the workers and the owner of the clinic, they only seek their benefit at the expense of their bad work, in my four visits, I still have pain and a fractured filling, even when I asked to have it removed, all this as if their prices were the cost of a coffee in a cafeteria. After experiencing a dental emergency over the weekend (broken tooth), I reached out to Brandon Complete Dental Care and they were extremely accommodating (set me up with a same day appointment). Additionally, the service and treatment I received was simply outstanding! The team of Dr. Brenton, Sonia, and Jennifer made me comfortable as I underwent a long and somewhat difficult procedure. It started with Dr. Brenton outlining my options and it ended with Sonia and Jennifer providing superb patient support. Customer service is very high on my priority list. Today, Dr. Brenton, Sonia, and Jennifer performed at an all-star level. My personal "thanks" for turning a bad situation into one with a great ending!

They are amazing! So informative, they make sure you leave feeling confident in your dental treatment plan and answered any questions. I felt very comfortable the entire time. Didn't wait a long time to be seen either which is always a plus. Mrs.Shelly is absolutely god sent and you can tell she really cares about what she does. So excited for my dental health journey here!

I have a huge phobia of the dentist, so as embarrassing as it is, I let myself go a longgg time without getting a cleaning. Dr. Patel, and the dental hygienist (I didn't get her name but she was amazing) were so kind to me and made me feel so calm and well taken care of. They really care about their patients and The work they do. And While I don't enjoy going to the dentist, they made it a good experience. As well as doing an amazing job on my smile! I can't stop looking at my teeth!

I received an offer in the mail from Brandon Complete Dental that promoted a FREE exam and cleaning. BEWARE ITS NOT FREE!!!!! I went back to Brandon Dental unaware that my initial visit was no free with an actual EMERGENCY. I had broken a tooth. Well when I arrived they quickly did an x- ray the Dentist said he could fill it and that sounded just fine to me. Well, then the business manager stepped in the room or inform me that I had a balance of $500 from the prior FREE exam and cleaning that had initially lured me in. Shocked by this information I just wanted to leave. Now is when it gets even better! They want to charge me another $300 got today in which NOTHING WAS DONE! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! I am filing a complaint with the state regardless of what they offer to do for me as I'm sure they WILL AND HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE! BEWARE!!!!!

Called for an urgent situation...my child's spacer broke this morning and was stabbing his tongue. All we wanted was to have the wire removed so he would not hurt himself. Front office told me that only their orthodontist could cut the wire and they did not work on the weekends as well as the fact they did not have time to cut a simple wire. I am at a lost now what to do as this wire is highly uncomfortable for him to the point it is difficult for him to even eat. From the reviews, I was expecting better service and understanding especially since this was my first time contacting them for any type of service.
