Dr. Thomas Ferlito was born and raised in Bradford, attending Haverhill High School and then matriculating to the University of Vermont for his undergraduate studies, graduating cum laude with a degree in Biology in 1979. Dr. Thomas Ferlito received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University Dental School in 1984. He continued his specialty training at B.U., receiving his orthodontic degree in 1986.

Dr. Thomas Ferlito authored an article which was printed in a recent issue of the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. He was the staff orthodontist for the Boston Celtics from 1990-1998, treating players and their families as part of his practice. A humorous picture of Celtics hall-of-famer Robert Parish hangs in the treatment room and was taken the day his braces were removed in time for the retirement of his number at the TD Bank Garden.

Dr. Thomas Ferlito is currently the school orthodontist for Brooks prep school in North Andover. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Association of Orthodontists,Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Boston University Orthodontic Alumni and the Haverhill Dental Association. Dr. Thomas Ferlito is a guest lecturer at Harvard Dental School. He was recently selected as the Italian Man of the Year at the annual Italian Brotherhood dinner attended by 500 men.

Dr. Thomas Ferlito and his wife, Kathy are the proud parents of 3 children. The dental tradition for the Ferlito family will be continuing as his son, Thomas graduated from Harvard Dental School and is currently enrolled in the 3 year orthodontic residency program at Harvard Dental. He will be graduating May 2022 and joining the practice. His daughter, Kathryn, is enrolled at Tufts Dental School, as a third year student. Dr. Thomas Ferlitos third child, Allison graduated from Providence College, received a Masters in Public Health from Salve Regina University and works for the Dept. of Veteran Affairs.

Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito had the privilege of witnessing his dads love of orthodontics firsthand while growing up in North Andover. Seeing his dads passion for treating patients, Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito knew he wanted to pursue healthcare from the time he attended Brooks School, graduating in 2010. He continued his education at Bowdoin College in Maine where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry with a minor degree in Anthropology in 2014. During summers while attending college and in the year following his graduation, Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito worked as a rehabilitation assistant at Whittier Hospital in Haverhill while also assisting at Bradford Orthodontics in preparation for a future career working with patients of his own.

Following his gap year, Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. At dental school, he presented research on orthodontics at the 2019 conference for the International Association for Dental Research in London and was chosen as the graduation speaker for the Class of 2019 by his peers. Upon graduation, Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito remained at Harvard to attend a three year advanced graduate post-doctoral program in orthodontics, pursuing research in the field of orthodontic-related technology to receive his Master of Medical Science (MMSc) degree in 2022, specializing in Invisalign treatment during his time in the program.

Having lived in New England his whole life, Dr. Thomas C. Ferlito is an avid Boston sports fan with a particular love for the Patriots and Celtics. He enjoys playing basketball, weightlifting, hiking, reading, and playing guitar (acoustic & electric) and similar to his dad loves pets of all kinds. A member of the American Association of Orthodontists and also the Harvard Odontological Society, established in 1878 to promote collaboration and education among members of the various dental specialties.

Beth is the Office Manager and has been with our office for 20 years. She is our Treatment Plan Coordinator working with Dr. Ferlito at the treatment conferences, discussing patient contracts and financials. Beth submits all orthodontic insurance claims and processes flexible spending accounts.

Michelle has been affiliated with our practice for 20 years. She received her dental assisting certificate from Lynn Vocational Institute in 1983. In 2015, she completed the Radiology Certification program at Boston University. Michelle enjoys working with our special needs patients. She is married and the mother of 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

Dr. Ferlitos youngest daughter, Kathryn graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology in 2016. She then completed the Post-Baccalaureate pre-medical program at Tufts University. She is currently a third year dental student at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and working part time at our practice. Kathryn is the pre-doctoral liaison in Orthodontics for her Class of 2023.

Taylor initially came to Bradford Orthodontics as a patient of Dr. Ferlitos. After graduating from the dental assisting program at Northern Essex Community College in 2013, she completed a summer internship at our office.

Sirena has been a member of our team since 2019 She received her dental assisting certificate from Northern Essex Community College and is certified in chair-side assisting, infection control and Invisalign. She received her Radiology certificate in 2019. She is our Invisalign Coordinator, submitting treatment prescriptions, and uploading photos, radiographs and 3-D scans to our Invisalign portal.
