Dr. Schoonover grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. He has served Southwest Dallas County and Northern Ellis County for the past 33 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental Branch in 1988. Dr Schoonover has been married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, for 42 years. They have three children. Dr. Schoonover spends his free time with family and friends and enjoys tending his plumeria plants, which, most, he has grown from seeds.
My goal with every patient that steps into my office is to build an honest and transparent relationship between dentist and patient. I have worked for Dr. Schoonover since 2015. My favorite part of working in the dental field is seeing the positive difference we make by boosting someones confidence. I am blessed to work with a dentist that always puts the patient first, making sure they are as comfortable as possible during treatment. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two kids, Kynlee and Jameson. We enjoy being outdoors and spending time with our family.
As healthcare professionals, we will always follow best practices and go beyond the guidelines in providing protection and precautions from viral and bacterial infections for our patients and staff. Your health and safety will be our top priority.

Best Experience ever. So refreshing to find a dental practice focusing on providing superb service. I had extensive work done over 5 months and they managed the process of coordinating other providers. His referrals were just as good as he is. It couldn't have gone smoother. Dr Schoonover's talents along with his outstanding staff will make this your first and only choice for a Dentist.

We have been a patient of Dr. Schoonover for the past 7 years, and he has been the best dentist I've ever been to. I've tried many offices before but no one has made me Happy. The staff is sweet and friendly. The hours are inconvenient which is why i tried other dentists, like Mint and others, TRUST me it worth taking the day off.
