Dr. Schoonover grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. He has served Southwest Dallas County and Northern Ellis County for the past 33 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental Branch in 1988. Dr Schoonover has been married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, for 42 years. They have three children. Dr. Schoonover spends his free time with family and friends and enjoys tending his plumeria plants, which, most, he has grown from seeds.

I have worked for Dr. Schoonover since 2015. My favorite part of working in the dental field is seeing the positive difference we make by boosting someones confidence. I am blessed to work with a dentist that always puts the patient first, making sure they are as comfortable as possible during treatment. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two kids, Kynlee and Jameson. We enjoy being outdoors and spending time with our family.
