Brad Brooks, D.D.S., and his team of caring professionals have been creating beautiful and healthy smiles and practicing the art of cosmetic and restorative dentistry since 1992. Dr. Brooks is a graduate of the prestigious University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, which consistently ranks among the top dental schools in the nation. In fact, the Dental School at San Antonio was ranked #1 in the nation 2 of the 4 years Dr. Brooks was in attendance there. Upon graduation from San Antonio, Dr. Brooks spent an additional year in specialized training in advanced general dentistry at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Brooks established his practice in its current location on July 1, 1992. ' I wanted a location that gave my patients fast and easy access from anywhere in Lubbock and the surrounding area, as well as convenient parking right at my front door,' says Dr. Brooks.
A native of Canyon and graduate of West Texas State University, now known as West Texas A and M Dr. Brooks and his wife Conda have a young adult son and daughter as well as a cat and a dog. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, sporting clays, hunting, and of course going to Texas Tech Red Raider football games.
I graduated from Amarillo College and received my Dental Hygiene license in 1976. I have lived in Lubbock since 1982. I have been employed by Dr. Brooks since 1994. He sort of acquired me when he bought the practice from Dr. Daryl Henderson. My husband, Sonny, passed away in 2005. With no immediate family in this area, my coworkers and patients have become my extended family. I feel extremely blessed by God to have such wonderful people in my life. I love what I do. I enjoy forming relationships with my patients, and I love the feeling that I make a difference. Whether it is teaching someone how to care for their oral health, or helping them overcome the anxiety that is often a part of the dental visit, I feel proud of the things I have accomplished. And of course, each evening I am greeted by my precious Patsy, my Boston terror, when I get home.

Everyone at this office is so kind and respectful. They know who we are when we walk through the door. Also we never have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. My kids love going to the dentist now!

This happened over a year ago (I should have written this back then) but I had a horrible experience here so I think this needs to be shared. I didn't have any "regular" dental work done here, so that aspect of the office might be fine considering other reviews. I only had TMJ treatment done here. They told me I'd need a $500 custom made mouthguard. After talking to many friends, apparently dentists should let you know that drugstore $20 mouth guards are an option too. Many even recommend trying that first. Nope, they told me my only option was the $500 one they'd make me. So me at the time not knowing that there was another option said okay to making it. So anyway, I pick it up, and an assistant made sure it fit in my mouth correctly. I tried it that night and had SO much pain. They are supposed to be uncomfortable for the first night or two but I had extreme pain to the point where I couldn't sleep. I went back in, this time the doctor looked at it and immediately made an adjustment. Why was I send home in the first place without an actual doctor looking at it if the assistant wasn't able to accurately adjust it? That was frustrating, but I figured okay, if it works now, cool. That night, I had the same problems. It did fit better than previously, but still painful and I could tell that it still did not fit my teeth the correct way. I realized HOW it was fitting wrong, so I went back the next day to have it readjusted again now that I could give specific details on which side was tight/where it wasn't fitting to my teeth. So I go in, explain in detail what is wrong. And then the girl started shaving down one part of it. I realized that what she was doing wasn't addressing the problem I explained, so I explained it again, but she just continued shaving down an area of it, which was doing nothing. She honestly just made it worse this day. I was at a loss, didn't know what to do. They said if they re-made it from scratch that it would fit the same way. The way that one fit me was not accurate so I didn't want to waste their time trying again if it was going to be inaccurate again. I asked if there was anyway I could return it and get my money back and they said no, which I kind of get, but at the same time, I just spent $500 on something that is completely useless to me. I get it was a custom made thing but considering they were unable to get it to actually fit my teeth, I personally think I should have been refunded for at least part of this expensive purchase that didn't end up working. I ended up picking up a $20 mouthguard from CVS, and it was so easy to form, actually fits my teeth, and works perfectly. I don't understand how a cheap cvs one actually works, while the $500 was messed up and didn't even come close to fitting me properly. Just overall a frustrating situation and loss of money. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else here!

I have tried to go to another dentist. However, after working with Dr. Brooks and his staff, all other places have fallen short. The staff is kind, professional and there is seldom a time I've had to wait in the waiting room more than a couple of minutes.

Dr. Brooks was so nice and kind. He was staight forward on what work needed to be done and a plan on how to do It. Mrs. Brooks and office staff was very nice and friendly and the dental hygienists was super sweet, helpful and amazing (love her)... Best dental appointment I had ever experienced.

Dr. Brooks was very comforting and explained everything he was doing. He made sure I felt no pain during a tooth removal, even when getting the shots to numb my mouth.

Dr. Brooks, Conda, Sheila, Linda, Mattie, and Emma are always professional and congenial when I come in for routine exams, cleaning, or crowns. There is no anxiety associated with their dental office. I have enjoyed their care for six years now. They are very accommodating for those surprise dental situations; losing a filling, toothaches, and for scheduling routine exams. I appreciate their text and email communications. I recommend you give them a call.

I have seen Dr. Brooks twice myself and once for my son. Him, his wife Conda and the rest of the staff are just amazing!! My family and I had been seeing another dentist for years and I am so glad we switched! They remember us and ask details about us that shows me they remember us. The dentist we were seeing for 15 years never remembered us. I don't see any reason to ever go anywhere else!!

The front Desk staff was amazing. The dental hygienist was so sweet . DR Brook's was so upfront and honest. He wasn't one to do work that didn't need to be done. Prob one of the best dentist experiences I have had so far and I've had ALOT of dental work!
