Dr. Efraim Zak attended the New York University College of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He spent additional time and training at NYU to complete his orthodontic residency and become a specialist in orthodontics. He brings with him an extensive background in research, including many awards and publications.
Dr. Zak attends yearly seminars and study groups to keep up onadvanced orthodontic techniques. He has also lectured at dental study clubs on behalf of Align Technology, the producer of Invisalign. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and OKU dental honor fraternity.
Dr. Zak grew up in New York City and now resides in Long Island. He and his wifeSusanhave two amazing children, Justin and Chelsea, who keep themvery busy. When he has the time, Dr. Zak enjoys playing golf, skiing, biking, working out, and going to movies. He is involved with his childrens PTA and supports the Shriners Hospital for Children and research for scleroderma, ALS, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and many others.
I love being an orthodontist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that I've built with my patients and their families are one in a million. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at-home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.
My education in dentistry and orthodontics has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. I completed my dental education at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and received post-graduate training in orthodontics at New York University School of Dental Medicine.
I constantly take advanced continuing education courses to stay current with all the latest developments in orthodontic research in order to provide my patients with the newest and most advanced applications in orthodontic theory and practice. I am also a member of several professional associations that provide me with opportunities for continuing education.
I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is always such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients' lives. Dr. Patricia Ortiz is very passionate and dedicated to Orthodontics. She is committed to provide the highest level of care tailored to the needs of each patient. She has great satisfaction helping her patients achieve better oral health and beautiful smiles.
Dr. Ortiz was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She attended University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Cell Biology and graduated Magna Cun Laude. She continued her education at University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus where she graduated at the top of her class, and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. Dr. Ortiz furthered her education at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York where she completed a General Practice Residency. She then completed her post-doctoral training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Bronx Care Health System.
Dr. Ortiz is current with all of the latest techniques and theories in the practice of orthodontics and strongly believes in attending continuing education courses. She is a Board Certified orthodontist. She is an active member of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Devin Zolnowski was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from New York University, where he earned a degree in Economics and was captain of the Mens Varsity Volleyball team. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in the top ten of his class. Dr. Zolnowski furthered his dental education and completed a one-year general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical center. He then returned to New York once again to complete his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Maimonides Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Zolnowski enjoys spending time with his wife, playing games, and staying fit. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists.
