With the advent of new materials, new thermoelastic wires, new bracket designs, new appliances, etc., the world of orthodontics is expanding and changing at an unbelievably rapid pace. What this means for our patients is even better results and smiles with less discomfort and hassle to for them.

The reward of sending that person out of my office with a confident and beautiful smile gives me the greatest pleasure knowing that it will do them a great service in their personal, public, or professional life and career.

Dr. Steven P. Billings is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a well-known Kansas City area orthodontist with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Billings completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and orthodontic certification at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.He has been practicing in the Parkville and Kansas City areas since 1979, serving both children and adults.

Dr. Billings especially enjoys working with children. He loves their personalities and watching them mature and blossom. As a father of five children, Dr. Billings treats each patient like one of his own to help them feel comfortable while giving them the best smile, profile, and orthodontic result available.

He takes care to provide the most up-to-date, proven techniques to ease discomfort while producing life-long results. The Braces by Billings Patient Care Team is made up of certified and skilled assistants to help Dr. Billings ensure patient comfort and safety, as well as desired results.

As a highly respected orthodontist, Dr. Billings is a member of a number of professional associations including: American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists (CADABO), American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Clay-Platte Dental Society, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and Greater Kansas City Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Billings also meets with other professionals in the Tweed Orthodontic Study Group and Mid-Century Dental Study Club to share the latest most effective treatment methods. Kansas City Magazine has listed Dr. Billings as one of the Top Orthodontists in Kansas City every year since 2006. His devoted patients have selectedhim as 'Best of the Northland' multiple times. Dr. Billings was selected Orthodontic Alumnus of the Year in 2006 by the UMKC School of Dentistry, and in 2010, he was awarded the UMKC Dr. Dan Blackwell Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Billings considers his family to be one ofhis greatest accomplishments! Theyare his wife, Deby, and his five children: Branson, Duncan, Abbey, Kenzie, and Crystal. Hisexcitement for orthodontics has inspired at least two of his children to pursue careers in the field of dentistry! He is an avid sports fan and can be found at local high school and college sporting events. He always looks forward to spending timewith family and friends!

Dr. Branson Billings then continued his post graduate education at the University of Indiana-Purdue in Indianapolis Indiana receiving his Specialty Degree in Orthodontics. He currently lives in Parkville and loves being a part of his father's practice since September of 2016. Branson is very proud of his hometown and is happy to be spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan attending many high school, college and pro sporting events.

Dr. Branson, as we like to call him, takes great pride in giving quality care to our patients and their families. Working in such a wonderful environment with a staff that he calls 'work family' and especially working and learning with his dad is a joy!

We're also happy to tell you that every one of us on the Patient Care Team, who assists Dr. Billings in treating patients directly, is EFDA Certified. That is, we have earned the designation of Expanded Function Dental Assistant. So you can be reassured that we are knowledgeable, experienced, and have solutions to meet your needs.

Cindy is excited toreturn to the Braces by Braces team and we are all very thrilled! She works with patients and parents to meet their scheduling needs, which can prove to be quite an adventure! She loves spending time with her husband and their four children and granddaughter. She likes to walk and loves watching her children play sports.

Teresa is very excited to be working with Dr. Billings again and being a part of the Braces by Billings team! We are all so happy to have her back with us! Teresa is in charge of confirming insurance benefits and filing insurance claims on behalf of our patients. She also performs many other duties that help keep our office running smoothly. When Teresa is not hard at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her first grandchild, a beautiful little girl!

Casey's favorite thing about orthodontics is how involved she can be in creating a beautiful smile while assisting both Dr. Billings and Dr. Branson Billings. The best part of working with Dr. Billings and Dr. Branson Billings is the level of respect and time theygiveto each and every patient. Theyalwaymakes sure the patient knows exactly what is going on in treatment and wants everyone to be comfortable and confident about his or her smile. She has worked in the orthodontic field since 1998 and has been with Dr. Billings since 2011. Casey is the mother of two sons, Blake and Dane, and she enjoys spending everyday watching them grow and explore the world around them!

Donna says her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is his sense of humor and his exceptional care of our patients. She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1981. She has been part of Dr. Billings' team since 1985. Donna joins Dr. Billings in working directly with patients to help them feel more comfortable, assists in setting upbondings, and performs many other chairside assistant duties. Donna loves spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys being outside with her dogs and caring for the flowers in her garden.

Ginger joined the Braces by Billings Team in 2018, she is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is experiencing the patients transformation into great smiles. Ginger stays current with continuing dental education classes. She is devoted to helping patients maintain their dental health. Patients appreciate her gentle and compassionate bedside manner. Gingers understanding nature makes it easy for patients to feel comfortable at the orthodontist. In her spare time she enjoys baking, yoga, and playing with her three pups!

Jane has worked in Orthodonticssince 1989 and has beenDr. Billings assistant since 1999. She says the best thing about her job is getting to know the patients and watching their smiles grow more beautiful. She enjoys working with the exceptional team at Braces by Billings and looks forward to Dr. Billings son, Dr. Branson Billings, joining the practice! Jane is involved in every aspect of patient care, including assisting Dr. Billings with teaching cases, ordering and stocking supplies, sterilization of medical equipment, and lending a hand to front desk scheduling. She loves her home in the countryside and spending time with her husband, children and granddaughter.
