An extremely talented orthodontist, Dr. Shawn Long is well liked by all his patients and team members. He attended Indiana University, and graduatedin 1990 with aBachelor of Arts. Dr. Long attended Indiana Universitys School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1994. He graduated at the top of his class and received a scholarship for academic achievement.
Dr. Long proceeded to the Ohio State University College of Dentistry for a teaching surgical fellowship. He completed his orthodontic training in 1997 at the Eastman Dental Center, which is recognized as one of the top orthodontic schools in the country.
Dr. Long has practiced orthodontics in the Northern Indiana area since 2003. It is important forhim to raise his family in a community with the same morals and values that he grew up with in his hometown of LaOtto. Dr. Longs hobbies include spending quality time with his family, vintage Shelby Mustangs, and a variety of sports, including weightlifting, running, rugby, and attempting to play golf.
Dr. McCrea received her Bachelor of Artsin biology and studio art with high distinction from Indiana University in 2007. She graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2011. Following dental school, she completed a fellowship in orthodontics and received her orthodontic training and Master of Science at Indiana University.
Dr. McCrea wasexcited to return to northern Indiana and become a part of Dr. Longs office and friendly environment. She enjoys oil painting, snowboarding, and spending time with her husbandCarterand their two young children.
We extend the idea of to Dress to Impress beyond our staff. Our office is bright, fun, and fresh, to reflectour upbeat and friendly team. It is important to us that patients feel how much we enjoy our work. We aim to care for all patients needs, and offer coffee and juice bars as well as numerous TVs separated from one another so you can enjoy your own programs without being bothered by anyone elses.

We believe in providing top-quality oral care without limiting anyone because of high costs. We offer flexible payment schedules and financial arrangements that work with what you are comfortable spending. Also, we never charge interest. Your oral care is important and should not strain your resources.
Though we may not be able to schedule emergencies, we sure can plan for them. We have an emergency room available, as well as 24/7 access to our staff. In the event of the worst, weve got you covered.

Dr. Long and his staff were very highly recommended by family friends and I am so happy we chose to use Brace Yourself Orthodontics. They did a full evaluation of my boys, explained our options, answered all my questions, gave great advice and worked with our schedule for appointments.

The receptionist and schedulers are the worst part of this practice. Very unprofessional. The doctor and his staff are great, but the receptionist and schedulers are completely rude.

it's 7:38AM, i've been calling for 11 mins. i don't understand how the phone says yours office is closed but the internet says your open. how tf am i supposed to make an appointment if your phone keeps saying your closed when i know it's not. i've been calling since yesterday really so wth is going on?

We have had nothing but good experiences here from the girls at the front desk, to the assistants that help Dr.Long, to Dr.Long himself. I want to give a shout out to Jessica. She is an asset to this practice, and is more than helpful anytime we need anything. Thank you Jessie for always being helpful, and quick response time to questions, and always having my daughters best interest in mind. Her patience and calm demeanor are so comforting in an unknown environment. The ladies all rememeber you and your children and call you by name, ask how certain things are going that were spoke about at previous appointments, etc. Thank you everyone here for being awesome, and so kind. :) Happy we were referred here!

Not all the technicians are good ,they rushed through the patients like a factory. Sometime there is no doctor check their works. They never accept their mistake. I recommend all the parents stay firm and stand up for your perspective if you see sometime not right until the doctor re check their works. I have to took me daughter back 2 times to redo the mold for retainers . The first girl name Peige make the retainer mold loose , the 2 second girl tall short hair not focus at all and can't keep the mold in place then still not get the mold after redo 2 times . They never accept it looses while I can push it up by 1 finger without using any force. They are very stubborn , they even feel the bottom and the top retainer's fitness are not the same and still said it fit . Make sure you call the doctor check the technician work.

Great environment, clean, friendly, and comfortable. Son had braces for a year and now a retainer and have had no bad experiences. Love his results. Great service and good payment plans if needed.
