David Bowen was raised in the rolling hills of Moscow, Idaho. A third generation dentist, Dr. Bowen chose to follow the footsteps of his grandfather, mother and older brother. Early on he had the opportunity to join several dental service trips in Jamaica and in Malawi, Africa. It was on those trips that he was able to tangibly see the profound effect of dentistry on peoples lives.
Upon earning his degree in Business Administration from Walla Walla University, he was accepted into Loma Linda University school of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Bowen had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua and provide dental care the children in need. He also spent over 500 hours working in a volunteer clinic in Redlands, CA, and joined the Flying Doctors organization which provides care to people all over Southern California and into Mexico. Dr. Bowen Graduated in June 2016 earning the Alumni Associations award for Student of the year.
The name Bozeman Family Dentistry was chosen out of the desire to create an environment that feels like family. It is our desire to make you feel comfortable, heard and that your dental goals are met. Dr. Bowen is excited to call Bozeman home and excited to serve this community!
Ashley is a proud native to Bozeman, MT. She has lived most of her life in the Bear Canyon area, attended grade school at Mount Ellis Elementary and High School at Mount Ellis Academy. She graduated in 2005, and went on to earn her RN at Walla Walla University. Her work as a nurse began in Spokane, Washington where she worked as a float pool nurse. In 2012 she was accepted into the NICU residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and spent 3 years working there. Her talents where recognized by the LLU School of Nursing and she was offered a job mentoring students in the nursing program, where she worked for one more year. In 2016 she and David and their new Daughter Taylor moved back to Bozeman. She is excited to be back home and a part of the amazing Bozeman community.

Best dentist I have ever been too!! They have the absolute NICEST and most caring staff. I had a root canal that wasn't finished a few years back and have had trouble finding someone to extract it. I found Bozeman family dentistry and they IMMEDIATELY responded. I came in for an assessment and talked about my options. I decided to come back the next day for a cleaning and extraction but my tooth was wayy to infected right now to be taken out. My cleaning was honestly fun! I never thought I would say that. When it came time to my extraction, my gums just wouldn't get numb so they gave me their honest opinion in waiting until antibiotics took the infection down. I have so many more things to say but it would take too long. They have a beautifully decorated office which is also supremely clean. I highly suggest if you need a dentist, go here!!!! UPDATE: after taking the antibiotic prescribed from Dr. Bowen, I was finally able to get my tooth pulled. I called to come in next morning unscheduled to just get it out. The bowen family got back right away and scheduled me first thing. It was a hard one because my tooth was in such bad shape and broken. But dr.bowen took every single step in making sure I was comfortable and okay. I have absolutely NO pain and I feel very well taken care of. Thank you so much for my tooth relief after 4 years of never finding a good dentist. We are permanent customers from here on out. 3/22/21 Still the best dentist out there. Dr.Bowen and his staff have become family to us and I will never ever trust anyone else. If you have anxiety or worries, they will completely take that away. Cleanings are actually fun, fillings are absolutely no problem and it feels like hanging out with friends rather than a dentist. Thank you Dr. Bowen and staff for always making sure we have the best teeth in Montana

Everyone was extremely friendly. I went in for my annual cleaning and couldn't be happier. I have had a tough time finding a good dentist in Bozeman and am so glad I found them! Highly recommend you go see Bozeman Family Dentistry and ask for Keeley as your hygienist!

Very kind and knowledgeable staff all the way around from the secretary to the hygienist to the dentist. I've never learned so much at a teeth cleaning or felt so support by a dentist and the team!

Amazing experience! Rachel at the front desk was so helpful trying to squeeze me into an earlier appointment and was helpful for my first appointment. Keeley was also a super awesome dentist hygienist, friendly!

BFD was so easy to work with! They were able to get me an appointment within a short period of time and the staff is great. Keeley and Dr. Bowen were efficient and took the time to answer all of my questions. I would recommend BFD to everyone 10/10.

This is the only dentist who has made me feel like my needs matter. When I have tooth pain, they get me either that day or within a day or two. At other dentists I've had to wait 3 weeks for an emergency appointment. The people here are kind and courteous every time.

Staff was friendly, efficient and great attitude. I have had lots of dental work over the years and this is by far one of the best dental officesI have been. I was asked what I wanted, the pricing was great. I have lots more to do.. but at no time did anyone in the office try to upswell, schedule additional procedures. This will definitely be my dentist in Bozeman. Thank you!
