Dr. Boyd was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Arizona State Universtiy and Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1981. He continued his education at University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, CA and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984. Following that he was accepted to Tufts Universtiy School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He received his Certificate of Advanced Education in Periodontics in 1986.
After working for Harvard Community Health Plan, Heritage Family Dental Center, and a private dentist, he decided to move back to his home state of Arizona to practice. His offices in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City opened in August of 1990. He is known to be very personable with a great chairside manner. His patients also comment regularly on how gentle he is and how he is able to calm the most nervous patient.
Dr. Boyd is married to his wife, Lark Jardine Boyd. They have four children: Carly, husband Jared and sons Braden, Tanner, Cole and Kyler; Rob, wife Krysta and son Korbin; Matt, wife Sasha and son, Sharp; and Jake, wife Carissa. Dr. Boyd enjoys fishing, cycling and exercising.
