Dr. McKenzy Boyd is originally from Wasilla, Alaska and ventured to the South after graduating from high school.She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Louisiana State University and then attended dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI, where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After graduation, Dr. Boyd practiced in Mitchell, South Dakota before returning to Louisiana.Dr. Boyd is happy to be back and loves being able to help our patients achieve their oral healthcare goals while providing them with a positive dental experience.
Dr. Jared Boyd was born in Shreveport and his family relocated to Wasilla, Alaska when he was in middle school. After high school graduation Dr. Boyd played college football at Tyler Junior College and Mississippi College before transferring to Louisiana State University to get his bachelors degree. Dr. Boyd subsequently achieved his Doctor of Dental Sciences degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
When not helping patients or raising awareness on the importance of good dental care, Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and LSU sports. When asked about his ambitions for the future, Dr. Boyd noted that he wants to help the community by taking care of their oral health needs and concerns. I am excited to be back in Shreveport and working in the community where I grew up.
Barbara, Office Manager I am married with 2 grown children. My husband Tony and I enjoy fishing and going to Eldorado together. I have lived in Shreveport for most of my life. I started as a dental assistant in high school at this office. I met the Boyds in 2011 when they joined the practice as associates. Boyd Family Dentistry began in 2012 and I was given the opportunity to continue working with all of our great patients! My favorite thing to do is spend time with my buds, Sadie, Beau, Ty, Betty, and Mae.
Amy, Insurance Coordinator My name is Amy. I relocated to Shreveport in 2020 from Wasilla, Alaska where I taught math and coached volleyball for 26 years. I work in the front office at the Line Avenue location. I have known the Boyd family all my life. It is a joy spending time with their children and watching them grow.
Alice, Office Assistant Hello, my name is Alice. My husband and I have been married 51 years. We have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. I retired from Caddo Schools in 2019 after 25 years. I like to spend time with family, cooking, and chilling with my fur baby, Maddie. I enjoy working for Boyd Family Dentistry and meeting new people.
Cindy I live in Haughton with my husband Steve. I have been a dental hygienist for 30+ years. I worked in this office about 15 years ago, before moving to Fort Worth. I am enjoying being back in the Shreveport area and working at Boyd Family Dentistry.
Sharon My name is Sharon Leethy. My husband, Todd & I have 3 children and enjoy traveling with them sharing many adventures including mountain climbing, camping, and all things outdoors. Ive been a dental hygienist for Dr. Frank since 1991 and I am so excited to be working with the doctors and staff at Boyd Family Dentistry. Building relationships with our patients and ensuring their optimum oral health is the best part of my job.
Amy I was born and raised in Georgia and graduated from Central Georgia Technical College in 2005 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. I married my USAF sweetheart. We have a daughter and a Boston Terrier. I love traveling to the beach, home decorating and hanging with friends and family. I also enjoy going to continuing education classes to stay current on the latest in dentistry. I love making people smile.
Candie Hello my name is Candie. I was born in Texas, raised in Louisiana, lived for a short time in Alabama and now call Louisiana home again. When I moved back I knew there was no other place I would rather work than back at home with Boyd Family Dentistry. I have been in dentistry for over 15 years. I absolutely love working with our doctors and our amazing patients. In our practice Ive been fortunate to learn the Cerec Same Day Crown technology and love giving patients top quality care. My husband has triplet daughters and a son and we have one fur baby at the moment. I enjoy spending time with my husband whether its fishing, working out or listening to him play music.
Janet I started working as a dental assistant when I was in high school. I have been in this office since 2001. I was excited to join team Boyd when they took over this practice in 2012. I am blessed with 2 grown sons, daughter-in-laws, and 4 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family going to the lake and estate sales.
Chelsea My name is Chelsea. I have 1 child, Brynnlee. I live in Rodessa on Black Bayou Lake. We love to hunt, fish and doing anything outside. I love being a dental assistant and have been doing it for 3 years.
Bailey I have been a dental assistant for a year. I went to school through Ark-La-Tex Dental Assisting Academy. My husband and I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going mud riding. I have lived in Shreveport my whole life. I am so blessed and excited to be a part of the Boyd team.
Ashley Hi Im Ashley. I have been in the dental field since 2014, and joined Boyd Family Dentistry in 2019. I couldnt ask for a better group to work with, and love getting to be part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients. I was born and raised in Texas and moved to Louisiana in 2018 when I married my amazing husband. We love to travel, ride bikes and all things Disney!

This is by far the best place I have ever been to. Mrs. Boyd even called and checked up on me the day after my procedure. NEVER has anyone done that before. A fun and friendly place for the family to have dental work. Awesome Awesome Staff!!!!! My family has found their dental home. :)

My experience with their staff was wonderful! The clinic was very warm & inviting. All of the staff was very friendly. Dr. McKenzy Boyd, DDS was very thorough & professional. They were able to work me in for a root canal & crown the same morning I called. I highly recommend them. I will be back for my future dental needs. Thank you!

One of the best dentistries I've gone too! Very friendly Husband and Wife team who make things quick, simple, and are very good about communicating. Secretary team that is very welcoming and quick to answer any insurance questions or just questions in general that you may have. I called after a disaster at another local dentist for a dental emergency in extreme pain and Dr. Boyd worked me in last minute, addressed the problems, set up a treatment plan, and even called me afterwards to make sure I was okay. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist, but it sure is easy here. Would HIGHLY recommend.

My mom needed a dentist quickly. We were told by a friend to call this office, so we took their advice. I called one afternoon and mom had an appointment for the following morning!!! From the time we walked through the doors, everyone was totally committed and involved in making mom feel at ease. The wait was maybe 10 minutes and we were in a room being seen by the physician. Quick, simple, easy service and accommodations. Kind, gentle and sweet personnel who took excellent care of mom. The office was clean and neat. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

This place is wonderful! Everyone is so polite, engaging, and helpful. They have replaced a faulty filling and cleaned my teeth for very reasonable rates. They kept up with me to make sure everything was still going well as well as sending reminders to your phone for upcoming appointments. They're so personable that the woman who cleaned my teeth sent me a hand written card saying how happy she was to meet me. Boyd Family Dentistry is simply amazing!
