I have always had a desire to take care of others. I grew up in a small farming community in northwest Ohio, but made my way down south to UNA to complete my undergraduate degree in Biology. While in Florence, I met my wife, Sarabeth Little, who shared my passion for taking care of others. We married in 2010, and I began dental school in fall of 2011.
I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraksa where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Throughout my education at Creighton, I was able to address a variety of dental concerns such as dentures, extractions, root canals, crowns, and pediatric dentistry.
After extensive research and planning, I along with my wife and son, Sarabeth and Josiah, decided to make Russellville our home. We welcomed our second son, Timothy, in September 2015 and our third son, Daniel, in May of 2017. We are excited to be a part of the Russellville community. Northwest Alabama has always held a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to watching our family grow here.
In 2018, we found a beautiful area in Town Creek that we were fortunate to be able to call home. Our family now resides on our farm in Town Creek while I still care for all of the dental needs in Franklin County. In December of 2019, we welcomed Ruth into our family.
I have always had a passion for developing people & watching them grow. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, my career started at Bob Jones High School as math teacher. My role transitioned to an Executive Team Leader for Target as I managed and developed large groups of people in a variety of roles during our 4 year stay in Nebraska for Dr. Bowen to attend dental school.
I was blessed to start my journey into motherhood in 2013. In 2015, I was able to help Dr. Bowen establish his practice and transition to a stay at home mom & office manager for Bowen Family Dentistry.
Alicia has worked in the dental field for 25 years. She is a hygienist but has also worked in the front office and as a treatment coordinator for 20 years. She & Robert love spending time with their family. They have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Laura has been in the dental field for 6 years and a hygienist for 3 years. She & Cullen love spending time with their son Sebastian. Laura enjoys family time, traveling, and shopping in her free time.
Abby has been a hygienist for 11 years. Abby works part-time with us since 2019. She & Craig have 3 children, Shiloh, Heidi, & Cooper. Abby enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and shopping.
Elaine has been at this location for over 21 years and has worked as a hygienist for over 15 years. She & Jeff have 3 boys, Chase, Chance, and Cade. She loves to spend time together with her family, shop, and enjoy the sunshine by the pool.
Emily has worked in a dental office for 13 years and as a hygienist for 9 years. She & Brandon have 3 children. They love spending their family time going camping & watching their children play sports.
Ginger & Blanca will be the smiling faces talking you through each step of your procedure. They work side-by-side with Dr. Bowen making sure each extraction, filling, crown, root canal, etc. goes as smooth as possible.
Ginger has worked as a dental assistant for 15 years. She is married to Jason Harris. They enjoy spending time with their kids, Caleb, Sadie, Jessica, & Taylor. She loves being outdoors - hiking, camping, and watching Alabama football!
Blanca has worked as a dental assistant for 10 years. She translates and makes sure each patient feels comfortable with every procedure and treatment plan. She & Carlos have 2 boys, Eduardo & Freddy. Blanca loves spending time with her family, playing soccer, modeling, doing make-up.

Took my 10yr old son for his first check up there were awesome people Emily was great with him and the doctor was very good up front and very friendly definitely be going back they are very good with children.

Emily was my hygienist and did a great job. Easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable. Dr. Bowen is a one man dental office. Exactly what we wanted. So glad we found him.

It cannot be overstated how wonderful Dr. Bowen and all of his staff are. He has gone above and beyond to help me when needed in the past, and the positive attitude of him and the hygienists make dentists visits, which are dreaded by many people, actually pleasurable. I highly recommend them to anyone searching for a dentist, as well as to those who aren't happy with their current one and would like an upgrade!

Dr Bowen has gotten too big and busy. I went to see him last week. I went because of a toothache. I ended up getting my teeth cleaned. That didn't help my tooth. I got an appointment on November 1st for a rootcanal. I checked with my old dentist and he could see me on Monday. I left him because he didn't take Care Credit but he does now. So happy about that. Anyway I won't have to wait over a month to get help with my tooth.
