I have a certain uncomfortability with dentist and going to there offices however the staff is super friendly and I felt comfortable through my whole visit Dr Bowen is very good at what he does

TLDR; rude and unprofessional An incredibly frustrating experience. To summarize: got a text that they were moving my appointment to a day that didn't work for me (didn't ask if that was alright with me first) I texted them no and called twice, leaving a voicemail for them about the situation that they didn't respond to. When I went in person to address it another woman was there also confused as the office was closed. Receptionist was rude to me about the situation when I called and when I asked her to help the elderly lady also waiting, got a rude comment about how she's sure the woman can figure out how to call herself. I had to help her call because the receptionist wouldn't.

This dentist insist on pulling my mother's 3 teeth without the proper numbing medicine. When she told him she was numb he continued to pull on her teeth. My mother ended up in the emergency room! If I could give this practice a negative star I would.....that iss how heartbreaking this .

We just walked out. We got there 3 mins before our appoint and the receptionist rudely told us that they were closed and not yet open...This was at 2 pm. They finally "opened" and gave us some forms to fill out. All the while, we could hear the receptionist complaining non stop about the computer not working and how much work had to be done. The place was just dirty and the unprofessionalism was enough to make us walk out of there without seeing the dentist. Here's a helpful tip for this business: clean up the waiting area and get a professional receptionist. You might actually do some business! Good luck.

I feel it is my duty to warn people to not go to this office. I had the absolute WORST dental experience here, it has taken me a while to post this. I did not see Bowen, but the other "dentist". He did not greet me or say what he was doing, he just started sharply and aggressively stabbing my teeth with the pick, and covering my nose so I had to struggle to breath. He simply did not care. I got the dreaded feeling that he enjoys inflicting pain on others, he whistled and hummed while he stabbed me, and didn't say a word to me. Maybe he didn't treat me like a person because I cannot afford better insurance? Maybe he just hates people in general? I don't know. I saw him drinking coffee and reading the paper before my appointment and after, I was just an annoying distraction from the newspaper. My husband and I went here, and we will never come back. The receptionist was sweet to us. But I urge you, please, do not come here, this dentist should not be in practice. I should also add about the office itself, the walls seperating the exam rooms do not go all the way up, they are three quarter walls so you can hear other people clearly in pain, and horrible drilling sounds. It was truly a nightmare.

I saw Dr. Shankland and his assistant this morning... They were all very professional and did a great job with me... Not sure why all the bad reviews... They had a nice clean office... Everything looks brand new... The staff is professional..... everyone was friendly... I wish more people that had a good experience here would do reviews instead of just the complainers!

I highly recommend Dr. Donald Bowen! Everyone at this practice was very helpful and great at what they do! My dental issues were not small. They did amazing work with attentiveness to my comfort and condition :) I am so thankful to have found them and for them!

I highly recommend Dr. Donald Bowen! Everyone at this practice was very helpful and great at what they do! My dental issues were not small. They did amazing work with attentiveness to my comfort and condition :) I am so thankful to have found them and for them!

Terrible. Almost 10 years later I cry for ever walking into this office. The secretary was the best part of me ever going here. I would recommend people to find another place. Like I said Rose was my best part of going. She just there to do a job. Answering phones. Making appts. Sweetest , kindest lady. But as for dental work. No! No! Take my advice. Go somewhere else.

I wanted to give them five stars to offset some of what I felt were unfair 1 star reviews, but, that would not be honest. The dentists that I've dealt with here (and at their previous location on Hubbard) were OK and the facility used to look like dental chairs basically setup in the back of a warehouse but the new facility is a little better. It's not fancy and the dentists may not be the very best, but, I've been going there for years and found their work to be decent. I've had cleanings, fillings, and root canals done. What I appreciate most are two things: I've been able to get appointments the same day when I've needed something done urgently and their prices were about 1/2 as much OR LESS than other dentists in the area. This can make a big difference when you're getting something like a crown done, where my insurance pays only 50%. Today for instance, it meant that I only had to pay $400 rather than over $1,200 that I had to pay at the dentist I got a previous crown done at.
