These are the first smiling faces that greet our patients and guests. Lisa Myers (left) and Faye McKelvey (right) have managed our dental teams front office since its earliest days. Well actually Lisa took a break for a few years, but just couldnt stay away. (Color us grateful.)
Lisa was born and raised in Knoxville. She married her husband, Rusty, in 1982. Together, they have a daughter and son, but still no grandchildren!Lisa began her career in dentistry as a Certified Dental Assistant, and was even certified as an anesthesia assistant and an oral surgery assistant. She also briefly taught Basic Life Support classes for dental professionals. (Something were grateful for, but hope we never need!) However, later in her dental career, Lisa made the move to the front office and loves it!(Something were grateful for, and need everyday!) Lisa loves all kinds of performing arts.
Faye was born and raised in Knoxville. She has been the teams Financial Coordinator since 1999. Faye is married to Bud McKelvey. She is mom to a son and daughter-in-law and to a stepdaughter and son-in-law, and is the blessed Mimiof four grandchildren. Fayes favorite pastime is cooking (for which Budand weare grateful). One of Kevens favorite memories of Faye is when, years ago, while attending a dental conference in Orlando, he took the team to a Waffle House, and Faye asked for the No Smoking booth(before there were laws about such things).
Chances are the next faces you see at our officeat least every 6 monthswill be those smiling ones below ofLinda Rose(left) andRobin Maples(right). These two are our skilled, personable and gentle(so our patients tell us!) Dental Hygienists.
Lindawas born and raised in Michigan and moved to Knoxville in 1975. She graduated from Farragut High School and then from East Tennessee State Universitys Dental Hygiene Program. Actually, Linda beats Keven as the person who has been at 11232 West Point Drive the longestoriginally working with Dr. Gunby Rule before Keven bought his practice in 1993. She married her husband, Rusty, in 1985. (Yes, you read that rightwe have two Rustys in our dental family.) They have two daughters, Rachel and Kayla. When asked about why she became a hygienist, Linda says, I was at UT majoring in medical technology and NOT liking it, when I came across a paper I had written in 9th grade. For this paper, I had to choose a future job to researchI had chosen Dental Hygienist. And, as they say, the rest is history. (We surely are grateful she ran across that paper.) Being an avid reader of the newspaper, Linda also helps keep the team current on local news.
Robinwas born and raised in Knoxville, graduating from Roane States Dental Hygiene Program. She is married to Chris, and they have a daughter and son. Robins family also has two dogsand a chicken!(Hmmmmwhich leads us to wonder why no fresh eggs have been brought to the team kitchen!) Robin inspires us all with her cheerful, positive spirit, but Keven stays confused about her ability to live in the country (with two dogs and a chicken!) given her deep dislike of bugs and dirt.

Lisahas been in the dental profession since 1979. (And, yes, youre right againwe havetwoLisas on our team.)She holds a National Certification as a Certified Dental Assistant as well as a Tennessee Registered Dental Assistant license. (We told you she was good.) In 1995, she and her husband, Don, and their son, Slade, moved to Knoxville. Lisa has been a member of our team since 1998. She enjoys traveling and being outdoors with her family. Speaking of traveling, some of Kevens favorite memories of Lisa are how much she enjoyed the teams 20th Anniversary Party, traveling across Northern California.
Jeanniewas born and raised in Knoxville. She graduated from Tennessee Technology Centers Dental Assisting Program in 2011 as a Certified Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Assistant, and immediately joined our team in 2012. (We told you she was smart.) When she isnt making the team laugh, she enjoys spending time with her daughter (who looks like her twin), enjoying the outdoors and working out.

After seeing before-and-after photos of other patients in Dr. Bowdles office, I decided it was time to do something about my own gummy smile and the severe staining caused by antibiotics I had been given as a child. Now, after gum surgery (which was surprisingly painless) and 10 crowns, Im no longer ashamed of my smile. This change has improved my confidence in both my personal and career life.
Keven and his wife, Karen, have been married since 1987. They have two sons, Garrett and Jackson, who are both in college. They also share their home with Hallie, the most spoiled-rotten mutt on the planet, and a 17-year old boy kitten named Holiday. (Its a long story.)
P.S. Speaking of Kevens wifeshe asked me to tell you thatTHIS TEAMis the answer to so many prayers over the years. She often hears from patients thatTHIS TEAMmakes going to the dentistFUN!(How many times have you heard THAT said about going to the dentist?) Andshe thinks THIS TEAM has to be the most photogenic dental team in Knoxvillemaybe even the universe.
