Dr. Nikolaos Kritharis is originally from Parsippany, NJ. He has a strong Greek background from his parents who were born and raised in Greece, on the island of Lemnos. Dr. Kritharis graduated Cum Laude from New York University with a degree in Chemistry. He completed his dental training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now Rutgers Dental School in Newark, NJ. There, he was selected into the Gamma Pi Prosthodontic Honor Society and awarded the Irwin Quinn Memorial Award for empathy, professionalism, management skills, and scientific knowledge while caring for his patients. He later enhanced his dental training in endodontics, oral surgery, implant dentistry, and general dentistry by completing a General Practice Residency at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.
On his free time Dr. Kritharis is an avid sports fan, enjoys cycling, reading, playing sports, and improving his golf game! Most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife, Vicmary, who is also a dentist and whom he met in dental school.

Our practice has served the Flemington area for over 40 years. Initially opened in 1964 by Dr. Roger Sorg, Dr. Robert Bowden Dr. Jonathon Bowdens father joined the office in 1972 and took over the practice in 1985, when Dr. Sorg retired.
After finishing dental school, and serving in the US Navy as a Dental Officer, Dr. Jonathon Bowden came to work alongside his father. Dr. Kritharis later joined the practice, bringing with him significant post-doctorate training and a commitment to patient-centered dental care.
Over the years, Bowden Dental has developed a stellar reputation for offering high-quality dentistry provided by skilled and caring doctors and staff. We genuinely care about each patient as an individual and want only the best for them!

Undoubtedly one of the best Dental practices. I have been a patient of Dr. Bowden for years and I trust him completely with all of my dental needs. He is kind, a great sense of humor, skilled, caring and informative. His entire staff is incredible. You actually feel as though you are a family member.

I decided it was time to move onto a new dentist. Wasn't happy with things that were taking place at my previous dentist. I am happy to say I felt very welcomed at Bowden Dental. Everyone was kind and courteous. The dentist that I was assigned to was very gentle and made sure I was totally comfortable with each procedure that she did. So far so good.

Bowden Dental is such a wonderful place to go to get your teeth cleaned! The staff are very friendly and so nice! The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very friendly and did a great job! I love this place since it's very convenient for me to take advantage of since I don't live too far from the place. I would give this place a 10/10!! Everyone is so Friendly!!

I've been looking for a new dental practice for a couple of years. My prior longtime dentist stopped taking our insurance and then retired, so I went to another practice. It was not the best fit for me but I only needed X-rays and cleanings at the time. When Covid made its appearance, I didn't see anyone for 1 1/2 years. I've reached out for reviews and met with Dr Bowden for a consultation. I'm happy to have become a patient of Bowden Dental. Everyone is kind, polite and friendly. I just recently broke a tooth and received my first crown today with Dr Nick. I've never felt so comfortable. Thanks to the whole staff for making going there actually a pleasant experience.

They keep appointments or reschedule within a reasonable time. Great dental hygenist working there. They are consistently good and the only time I had a filling in 10 years with them was painless including the novacaine shot which used to ache longer than anything. I'm lucky to have such a great dentist office 5 to 10 minutes from my house. Office people are nice and professional too.

Made my day! My wife went in to have a filling replaced and Dr. Bowden realized only a piece of her tooth was chipped and the replacement was not necessary. He was able to fix & bond the tooth instead of having a lengthy procedure.
