Dr. Feller attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he would score a 96 on his part I national boards, placing him in the top 2% of dental students in the country. Dr. Feller finished with a 3.90 GPA (out of 4.00), placing him in the top of his class. After completing the four-year program, Dr. Feller received his doctor of dental medicine and graduated with the following honors: Magna Cum Laude honors, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (honorary dental society), Phi Kappa Phi (honorary dental society), Hinman scholar (two outstanding graduates as selected by faculty), and Dean's scholar. Dr. Feller continued his studies in the school's graduate program and in December 2003 was awarded a Master of Science degree in oral biology for his research in molecular biology.
Dr. Feller was successfully accepted into the orthodontic residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. While in residency, he was trained in both the didactics and clinical aspects of orthodontics. Dr. Feller served as class president for both years while working several nights a week in a general dental practice. In 2005, he successfully passed the American Board of Orthodontics written examination, signifying that he is board-eligible. Dr. Feller would go on to receive his orthodontic specialty certificate from Tufts University.
Dr. Feller has received advanced training during and after residency in each of the following areas: Invisalign, TMJ dysfunction, cleft lip and palate, implant-supported anchorage, corticotomy orthodontics, combination orthodontics/orthognathic surgery, the Damon system, and many other areas. He feels it is vitally important to remain abreast of the finest orthodontic techniques through continuing education. In recent years he has attended educational seminars for advanced orthodontics in New York City, San Francisco, San Antonio, Phoenix, Orlando, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and Boston. Our profession is ever-evolving and Dr. Feller is committed to staying abreast of the considerable improvements in technology and patient care.
Dr. Feller is also a partner in an orthodontic practice in Rock Springs, Wyoming (Feller and Feller orthodontics). He enjoys spending a few days a month working with the fine staff and wonderful patients in southwest Wyoming. The Feller family (beautiful wife and four awesome sons) reside in North Salt Lake, Utah. Some of their favorite activities include snow-skiing, wake-surfing, golfing, and most anything they can do together. Dr. Feller feels his highest priorities are love and service to God, his family, and his fellow man.

Dr. Heaps was privileged to study at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon acceptance there Dr. Heaps received the Deans Scholarship for outstanding incoming students. Dr. Heaps participated in several leadership positions at UCLA and was elected by his class to serve as the Class Vice President. Dr. Heaps was also selected by the Dean to participate in the prestigious Deans Leadership Institute.
After graduating from UCLA, Dr. Heaps continued his education at the University of Utah Hospital. Dr. Heaps there completed a one year residency in general dentistry where he gained extensive experience in periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics and oral surgery. After learning so much about all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Heaps decided that his true interest and passion was in orthodontics.
Dr. Heaps was accepted to attend the orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, New York. While at Montefiore, Dr. Heaps gained extensive experience in clinical orthodontics. During his final year, Dr. Heaps was chosen by the residency director to serve as the Chief Resident. Dr. Heaps successfully passed the American Board of Orthodontics written examination qualifying him to be a board eligible orthodontist. In June 2014, Dr. Heaps received his orthodontic specialty certificate.
After spending several years on both the east and west coasts, Dr. Heaps is happy to call Utah his home again and loves being close to his family. He enjoys the outdoors particularly snow skiing, waterskiing and swimming. Dr. Heaps is also a huge movie buff.
When I was growing up, I required extensive orthodontic treatment. I was in braces for several years. But once my braces came off, I was amazed how many people complimented my smile. My smile suddenly gave me more confidence than Id ever had before and truly made a remarkable difference in my life. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than passing that experience on to my patients. Witnessing the excitement and transformation an improved smile can bring someone is priceless.
