I absolutely love what I do. I look forward to going into the office each day and most of the time it doesnt even feel like work! I enjoy meeting new people and getting to build relationships with them and their families. Ive always enjoyed working with my hands as well as my head. Being able to use both to plan and guide and shape beautiful smiles and get to see how impactful it can be to both children and adults' self-confidence is awesome.
Originally from Provo, Utah, Cypress has been my home since I was eight years old. My wife Lyndsay and I are the proud parents of seven children: Austin, Autumn, Asher, Aidan, Batri, Ruby, and Conner (and one Grandson).
We are very activeand enjoy spending time together outdoors and thesporting events in which our kids participate. I like spending time with my family, coaching my kids, dating my wife, and running when I get a chance.
With the adoption of three beautiful children, our family has become passionate advocates for orphans here in the US and around the world. I love helping to organizeand participating in humanitarian dentaltrips to provide care to those who need it the most.
On a local level, I am involved with the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not have the opportunity to otherwise receive it. I also work with Pathways to Independence, an organization whose mission is to foster profound and productive changes in the lives of young women in Long Beach and Orange County who have been traumatized by their family and abandoned by society. Lastly, I work with Safe Families, an innovative collaboration between area churches, volunteers, and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.
We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.
I enjoy working with our patients and their parents to create financial arrangements and payment plans that fit their budget. When I see the relief on a parents face, as they realize that they can afford the orthodontic care that will transform their childs smile and self-esteem, I know weve done a good thing. Thats what were about here: putting the needs of the patients before everything else. As financial coordinator, I work to make sure that orthodontia is affordable to our patients, whether or not they have insurance.
I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter, Sierra, who is currently attending college to pursue a career in dental hygiene. In my hours away from the office, I love spending time with my family and laughing at the jokes and stories we share.
I have the pleasure of working alongside our wonderful patients to help them come up with individual plans that fit their specific needs. As a financial coordinator, I get to calm any fears, answer questions, and help make treatment possible! Especially in a soothing environment, it is very rewarding to me.
My dental career started back in the summer of 1998 as an intern at a general practice office. I have since helped in many specialties including oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and finally orthodontics, which is where my heart is. I am happy and humbled to have had the opportunity to travel with Dr. Boulton to Guatemala and experience firsthand how it feels to help someone in need of dental care, which brings a smile to their face. Dr Boulton is a down to earth person and cares not just for his patients but also for his staff and is very involved in his community.
I love working at Boulton Orthodontics, where our patients come first and amazing smiles are created! Marketing is where my experience and passion come in. I love visiting our area dental offices, maintaining our long-term relationships as well as developing new ones. I also enjoy being involved in community events and sponsoring our local schools.
My favorite part of my job is seeing kids grow-up and being a part in helping to make a beautiful smile. I know how important having healthy, straight teeth is, and when I can assist with that process, I know that Ive made a difference in the life of a patient that Ive come to think of as a friend. Working in orthodontics is rewarding, that way. I assist our doctor in the back office when hes treating our patients.
When Im not at work, youll find me spending time with my family, including my spouse of more than 20 years, two sons, and my daughter. I love watching them play sports. When I have free time, I enjoy running and have run in four half-marathons, and I love the Ragnar Relays, too.
I love making an apprehensive patient feel comfortable and welcome. Being able to see the transformation of our patients self-confidence through their journey to a beautiful smile is something I have a huge heart for. Dr. Boulton and our entire office are really a rare find. Dr. Boulton has a genuine kindness and concern not only for his patients but the community as well. He goes out of his way to help others, and he gives his time and efforts to others in need. Our office works great as a true team to make sure your time is valued and patients are done on time. It really goes to show, you get what you give!
When Im not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. Our weekends and evenings are often filled with the childrens soccer and baseball activities. We also love boating and camping!
For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.
When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
