Dr. Naomi Sever grew up in a small town, Ashland, located in Southern Oregon. From there she crossed the country and attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts for her undergraduate education in Biology and Womens Studies. She explored a career in pharmaceutical and then dental supply sales prior to returning to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Since her dental school graduation in 2011 Dr. Naomi has made continuing education and volunteer work a priority. She has done a fellowship in implant placement and restoration, education on sleep apnea and associated airway disorders, Botox and fillers, and continually stays up to date on the newest and most effective products and technologies. She recently became a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2017, which requires over 500 hours of continuing education in a variety of subjects. In addition to her love of learning, she feels it is important to give back to underserved populations and spent her first years after dental school at a community health clinic in rural Kansas. After the move to private practice she still participates with volunteer events such as Colorado Mission of Mercy, which is where she met Drs. Bishop and Takemoto.

For the past four years Dr. Naomi was in private practice as an associate dentist in Colorado Springs and she takes great pride in the relationships she developed with her patients in that time. She is thrilled to be a practice owner and for the opportunity to continue quality dental treatment and compassionate patient care. She strives to continue the office tradition of quality dentistry in a caring, sharing environment ensuring growth for all involved.

Dr. Naomi lives in Boulder and, like a lot of people here, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking with her dog, and doing the occasional Ironman triathlon. She also loves travel, cooking, and other adventures.

Dr. Colleen Schook grew up as what some call a military brat, which allowed her to move around and live in several states growing up including New York, Alaska, Oklahoma, and Nevada. She returned to New York to finish her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at CUNY Hunter College on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Once completed, she began working in research, medical, and dental fields. She quickly realized that dentistry had the combination of art, science, and personal relationship skills that she loved which led her to decide to further her education to become a dentist.

Dr. Schook earned her dental degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2015. During her formal education she loved being involved in leadership roles among colleagues as well as service programs for the community. It is her belief that these two things help promote focus on communication, integrity, and sense of purpose that makes dentistry a joy to be involved in. These traits have been a foundation for career and driving force to provide exceptional patient care. She maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Boulder Broomfield County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She has spent time presenting to schools and Girl Scout Troops about oral hygiene, science behind dentistry, and what it means to be a dentist. She has also provided donated dental services to communities in Las Vegas, Longmont, and Fort Collins.

When she is not doing dentistry, Dr. Schook loves spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite activities include traveling, camping, playing trivia, and going to the movies. She also enjoys working in her garden and creating projects using newer technologies like 3D printers and electroluminescent wires.

Dr. Allison Hinsberger was born and raised right here in Boulder. She grew up taking advantage of all that the mountains have to offer, camping all across the American West in a VW camper van with her family. After receiving a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Dr. Hinsberger relocated to San Francisco. Though she enjoyed her time working at a non-profit focusing on workforce development, Dr. Hinsberger wanted a career that provided both more direct daily interaction with people and involvement in health CARE and science. Dentistry checked all those boxes, so she left her job to go back to school.

Dr. Hinsberger received her D.D.S degree from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. During school, she enjoyed the hands-on nature of dentistry, which included making dentures and casting gold crowns. She also took great pleasure working at community health centers as a dental care provider to underserved communities.

More recently, Dr. Hinsberger completed a General Practice Residency at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora. She loved having veterans as her patients in a clinical practice where she worked directly with dental and medical specialists. The residency program reinforced Dr. Hinsbergers philosophy to provide treatment that is centered on the patient. She finds that working together with patients is the best way to achieve their treatment goals while maintaining oral health.

Dr. Takemoto was born and raised on the Hilo side of Hawaiis Big Island. She earned a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii. She then attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where she also met husband and partner, Dr. John Bishop. Following graduation, Dr. Takemoto taught at the USC Dental Schools Restorative Department before starting practice in Boulder in 1983. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and recently completed a residency in placing dental implants.

Dentistry has been such an enjoyable profession for me. I enjoy the art of dentistry as well as the technical side so John and I both make it a point to constantly update our knowledge of new dental techniques, materials, and methods through continuing education.

I get such great joy in seeing our patients satisfaction when, for example, they attain optimal dental health or see beautiful cosmetic changes in their smiles. But I have to say that what truly energizes me is my relationship with my patients knowing that I have taken care of their dental health, watching them grow, and growing older with them.
