Dr. Klyn grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate studies in Pre-Dentistry and received his DDS from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1990. He then entered the U.S. Air Force and completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dr. Klyn then attended a 2-year endodontic residency at WIlford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Klyn spent 22 years on active duty which included teaching over 35 AEGD residents, had 7 different assignments and 2 deployments. He retired in Sept 2012 at the rank of Colonel.
Dr. Klyn is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the American Board of General Dentistry and the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Colorado State Dental Association and the Boulder County Dental Association. Dr. Klyn is also an affiliate Professor with the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.
Dr. Klyn and his wife, Cathleen, have 2 sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and has many outdoor hobbies. He enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing and attending any sporting event, especially any game that his sons are playing in.
Dr. Nicholas Schulte grew up in a small town in rural South Dakota and attended college (1998-2001) and dental school (2001-2005) at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He then joined the Air Force Dental Corps and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2006. Dr. Schulte practiced general dentistry at Ramstein Air Base in Germany (2006-2010), then completed an endodontics residency (2010-2012) at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
Following graduation in 2012, Dr. Schulte practiced endodontics at Lakenheath, AFB in England (2012-2014) and also completed the rigorous process of board certification through the American Board of Endodontics in 2013. He transitioned to private practice as an endodontist in Eugene, OR in 2014, where he worked until the summer of 2018.
Dr. Schulte was eager to be closer to family in Denver, so was ecstatic to join Boulder Endodontics in 2018 after thirteen years of dental practice. Dr. Schulte has extensive educational and clinical experience and is a Board Certified Endodontist, attaining the highest level of training possible to ensure you have the best outcomes that modern endodontic treatment can provide. He looks forward to providing you optimum specialty endodontic care.
Dr. Schulte has been married for over 16 years to his wife, Heather. They have three well-traveled children as well as an energetic cattle dog named Jedi. He loves all outdoor recreation, especially mountain biking, snowboarding, and camping.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and results I received from Dr Schulte, and his wonderful assistant Jill, during my root canal today! Dr Schulte thoroughly explained what the procedure entailed and kept me updated along the way which greatly reduced my anxiety. I really appreciate their professionalism, knowledge and kindness. Excellent doctors and support staff. Patient, gentle, caring and considerate treatment. Great follow up also. Everything was very clean, pleasant surroundings and even a nice view!

Dr. Schulte preformed a root canal yesterday at this exact time. This morning I am pain free, no weird feelings, nothing. It's truly a great piece of work done by Dr. Schulte. Everything was explained to me in detail so I understood what was up. I can't believe I tip the pizza man and not the Dentist. This was about the best work I've had done on my teeth. Ever. Bravo Dr. Schulte & Staff. Thank you for the pain free & very pleasant experience!

I have seen Dr. Klyn four times for two consultations and two root canals. I have severe dental anxiety and each time I saw Dr. Klyn I was so comfortable. He is very compassionate and caring about me as a patient and has made sure the treatment plans is what is right for me (even conferring with my periodontist). Getting a root canal has been easier for me than getting my teeth cleaned. I only wish he could take care of all my dental needs. I can't imagine there is a better Endodontist around!

Dr Kyln is not the best out of dental charm school class. Too many red flags!!! Rest of drs. were absent. Boundaries go up when dr.s do not listen to pain topics. Every time I drive by the place will think about it as a r$cket. I might have well tossed c$sh out the window onto the street based on this experience. There are a ton of fantastic endos around, and I would drive over state lines if needed to avoid a situation of more pain when already in pain. Check out the yelp reviews on this one. Sometimes ya just gotta cut your losses.

Boulder Endodontics is an amazing practice! Drs. Klyn and Schulte are kind and expert clinicians, and I've had nothing but positive experiences with them and their staff. My wife received excellent care from Dr. Klyn about two years ago when she needed a root canal and apicoectomy. I'm sure this series of scheduling/events isn't always possible, but I developed a painful abscess on Wednesday night, saw my dentist on Thursday, and the amazing folks at Boulder Endodontics fit me into a busy schedule for a consultation Friday morning. Dr. Schulte clearly explained the situation, understood my pain, and kindly offered to see me that day (!?!) for the first part of my root canal/pulpectomy due to the complexity of the tooth's root structure. The procedure was painless and wonderfully effective. Both Denise, the front desk coordinator, and Jill, Dr. Schulte's assistant, were sweet, helpful, and clearly had my best interests in mind. I can't thank Dr. Schulte and his staff enough for the excellent care and kindness I received yesterday. He just recently moved to Boulder and is already an invaluable asset to the Boulder Endodontics practice. Both Drs. Klyn and Schulte have gone out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure that my wife and I received the best care and experience possible. I don't think there's anything more one could ask for :-)
