At Boulder Dental Center we offer digital x-rays for our patients. With rapidly developing technology, conventional dental x-rays are being overtaken by a revolution in digital x-rays. With digital x-rays, images can be acquired instantaneously in the dental office. This process is faster, safer and produces images that are at or above the resolution of traditional film x-rays. These images can be manipulated, enhanced, stored and exchanged for referral and other purposes making them extremely useful and convenient.

Over 50% of patients fear anesthetic syringes according to a recent national survey. Some patients get more nervous than others at the mere sight of a needle. Discomfort from a dental shot is mostly due to the feeling of pressure created by the flow of dental anesthetic. A computer controlled injection system called The Wand can greatly relieve this discomfort.

THE WAND doesnt look like a traditional syringe so the patients initial apprehension is minimized. During the actual injection, the development of an anesthetic pathway combined with computer controlled constant flow assures that there is minimal awareness that the injection is even being given.

THE WAND represents the first major technological advance in anesthetic delivery since the syringe was first invented nearly one hundred fifty years ago. This computer controlled Novocaine delivery system conquers fear of pain and anxiety. Dr. Abboud gives his patients the highest quality dental care while addressing their concerns about the pain, fear and anxiety associated with standard syringe injections.

THE WAND can be positioned more accurately and has a controlled novocaine flow rate. This provides quicker numbing of the teeth without the usual numbness of the tongue, lips and face. This computer controlled anesthetic delivery system also eliminates that fat face feeling that can last for hours. Dr.Danny Abboud has perfected the art of dental anesthesia and provides pain-free treatment. He offers nitrous oxide for relaxation if patients request it.

Using an intraoral camera at Boulder Dental Center allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained. With the images produced by the intraoral camera, patients can see their teeth and dentists can indicate problems such as broken teeth, decay, gum disease and defective fillings.

This was the worst experience of my life. They told me I had 8 cavities. 8! They proceeded to only fill 4, and did such a horrible job that I had to go back the next day bc one of the fillings had fallen out. I also was given so much nitrous oxide that I could barely function or answer the dentists questions. When I went back I was gaslit and told everything was fine... but the dentist still proceeded to completely refill the hole in my tooth she had just told me wasn't there. Was also told it was my fault I had a bad experience on nitrous oxide, when I have had it multiple times before and been fine. They literally gave me the highest possible dose of nitrous oxide for 2 hours... I am a young girl who weighs 100 lbs. It's completely irresponsible to not know how much of a drug to administer, and not my responsibility to know how much I should be getting. Legal action should be taken. Update: 2 weeks later and another filling fell out. Went to a different dentist who looked at my mouth and had to redo every single filling dr. Huska did. Do not go here please it's a scam.

My husband and I have a very good experience with Dr Oanh Pham and her assistant Autumn with our dental care. From having a root canal to having crowns and implants. Very satisfied with the service. The front desk are friendly and we are always seen with our appointments on time. Highly recommend their office here at Boulder office.

First dentist I had there was really bad, he and his dental assistant were very forceful and very inattentive. I don't expect much from a dentist, but if you are going to do stuff that is going to cause considerable pain you need to at least give me a heads up. At one point they walked out of the room for over 10 minutes leaving a thing in my mouth and giving me effectively no warning. Maybe they got rid of this first guy, I don't think I see him on their website anymore. Anyway, I requested I switch to a different dentist. I believe my new dentist was Dr. Abboud, and he was much better, however I think they might be understaffed or something because all the visits seemed very very rushed. And ultimately that's what made me decide to stop using this dental office. I'd be sitting there and they'd do like 20 things in a row without ever taking 2 seconds to explain what they are doing and why. I think the moment that sealed it for me was when they were setting my new crown in my upper tooth and he briefly drilled on my lower (normal) tooth. I don't know if this is common, I don't know what the purpose of this was. Was it to make it a more even bite? I have no idea. The point is though, that without warning or asking for permission I've got a guy drilling into a good tooth of mine, and frankly that was really upsetting. It made me feel like a hunk of metal that he was just working on and moving on from. He seems competent, I don't think it was malice, maybe it all comes down to them being rushed. But whatever the reason in my opinion people doing stuff like that need to communicate much much more, because without communication it lead to an experience that frankly felt dehumanizing. This was after a previous visit where I had already asked for more communication. But like I said, they didn't seem willing or perhaps capable of accommodating my request. I don't have ill will towards any of them, I just am sufficiently dissatisfied and indeed upset with the experience that I felt I needed to leave an honest review so others can be properly informed.

Horrible, scary experience. Went in to get a couple very simple filling, they did a terrible job, left me unable to floss due to all the concrete between my teeth. Furthermore, they gave me so much nitrous oxide I was high for the rest of the night, wayyyy more than I've ever had or was comfortable able with. When I tried to floss that night a full filling came out. When I returned the next day I was lied to and told that it was still in there but they could reshape it. It had completely fallen out and they just redid it without telling me what they were doing. I only knew because someone came with me. Should not have a medical license. This is dangerous.

i called to release my records from this place to a new dentist due to the terrible experience i had at the arapahoe branch. they told me that my new dentist had just called and that they had released the records, which is weird since i didn't sign anything. about 3 hours later i get a release of records form to fill out and sign. the incompetence of both front desk staffs at both offices is really appalling. do not give boulder dental center any of your time or your health concerns.

I had an appointment at Boulder Dental Center on 9/30/22 as a new patient. I had x-rays taken and saw the hygienist. The hygienist was nice, but didn't seem to have much experience cleaning teeth. After she was done, I was waiting for Dr. Pham to see me for about 10 minutes. She suddenly came into the office, told me she did not have time to clean my teeth so I needed to make another appointment, and informed me I had three cavities and one was quite bad. I knew I had a small "watch" area on my teeth (I've seen a dentist every six months in Seattle before moving here), but suddenly having three cavities did not seem right. I did not make a second appointment and instead made another appointment elsewhere. The new dentist was on-time, professional, and seemed to care about me and my dental health. He told me I had two minor cavities. When I got the treatment plan from the new dentist, it was $700 less than what I was quoted at Boulder Dental Center (looking at the same billing code, Boulder Dental Center is charging $67 more for the exact same service). Long story short, if you come here and something seems off, I would suggest seeking a second opinion to save you time and money.

I love this dental office. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. I've had a rocky road in life with my teeth and I feel safe here and know I will be taken care of to the fullest extent. Thanks to everyone who works so hard here. You're appreciated. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a dentist in the Boulder area

I did a routine check up here. The $99 checkup included a full mouth x-ray, cleaning and consultation. I would certainly recommend this for any new patient as they do a thorough exam and also provide a treatment plan for any issues.

The dentists and hygienists are great but admin is shocking. I've had enough. Though service is usually courteous but shockingly unorganized. I don't understand how they have struggled to find my dental plan (with 2 different employers and 2 different plans). Initially the claimed I don't have plan until I had to go to a lot of effort to basically do their job (Cigna & BCBS - not exactly small players). I even had to reschedule one of my appointments (after showing up at the office) because they were going to charge me for a basic cleaning (again). Later I got billed for a cleaning anyway even though my plan covered it. I emailed them back to ask why they are still struggling with basic billing. I never heard back. I guess it got resolved because I didn't receive an outstanding account notice. The last straw was when I called it to reschedule a cleaning (which I cancelled via text) I was trying to explain that the appointment was already cancelled and I just need to reschedule. The person on the phone didn't listen and interrupted me several time for me to give my birth date so she can find my appointment. Which I did. And they then confirmed my appointment was cancelled. Like I said. After I asked why she confirmed what I just told them, they hung up. So. I won't be rescheduling with them and will be taking my business elsewhere. I also find it very surprising that they have so many reviews.

I was a patient here for years and the service warranted about three stars during that period. Then, they cancelled my family's appointments without a lot of notice as they no longer accept our insurance. It felt like we were simply thrown out on the street. We've had to scramble to find a new dentist in time for our six month cleanings. Really cannot recommend this dental office.

No normal dental office has 1k reviews. Look at the other dental offices in Boulder. You'll see 200 or so reviews. These are FAKE. Be wary. Your response is unbelievable. I am reporting to every agency I can. Notice how all of the low star reviews have LIKES because they are real. Paying for reviews and unethical practices. They told me I had FOUR cavities. Knew that was fishy so I went to another reputable dentist and had none. What the heck whoever had 10 fillings here are you serious??? Unless you smoke a pack a day and dip and never brush your teeth you could never rack up 10 fillings. Agree with the person saying legal action should be taken. Disgusting. Dr Scam more like it.

I have been visiting the Boulder Dental Center for several years now. Mostly routine cleanings and prevention. Today I visited with Dr. Dale who very nice and incredibly detailed oriented in regards to make solid recommendations for a failed route canal. Explained everything in great detail to give me comfort level with work that will need to be done. Staff is always nice and helpful in regard to scheduling, etc. Solid dental care office and business.

My first visit was not very great. The hygienist was very harsh with the pick on my teeth and actually broke the tool in my mouth. She talked the entire time as if I could respond to her and told me how I NEED to get braces because I have one tooth that is not aligned. The cleaning itself was awful and my teeth were still visibly yellow immediately afterwards. The dentist came in and told me that I have 3 cavities that need to be filled and I need all 4 of my wisdom teeth to be extracted. NOTHING was explained as to why this needs to happen, when should it happen, what will the cost be, what do I need to do at home to have better hygiene. Went to the front desk and they had no idea what needed to happen for my "treatment plan." Second time, the hygienist (not the same one) was absolutely amazing! She was very skilled at her job, did not talk while cleaning my teeth, didn't break anything in my mouth, and the cleaning itself was spectacular, even the one tooth that's hard to get to. I'm sad I never got her name. However, the dentist now came in. He asked how often I brushed and flossed. I answered truthfully -- I brush twice a day and floss once a day -- and he scoffed. I take my dental and physical health very seriously, and I have always been insecure about my teeth. This was plainly rude and unprofessional. He again told me how I have 3 cavities and some "watch spots." He told me I have a couple of impacted wisdom teeth. I have ONE that is impacted, the other 3 are all fully erupted and healthy. He kept referring to some "treatment plan" about the wisdom teeth and the fillings. Nothing was given to me or explained to me about this "treatment plan." When was I supposed to get them extracted or the cavities filled? How much? Why? How is the procedure going to go? How many days should I take off of school/work? What kind of anesthesia or medication should I get for the extraction? NOTHING. Proceeded to sign-out at the counter and they simply asked, when do you want your appointment? For WHAT? WHY? What's the cost? Do you want nitrous? IDK, I want more info first before I get four teeth cut out of my mouth. The dentist mentioned a prescription toothpaste and the front desk had no knowledge of this, until I asked them specifically. After this experience I have looked at all of the reviews, and I will NEVER go there again. Especially for ANY type of procedure/surgery. The office bribes the customers with a water pick to leave an (implied) good review. That is the ONLY reason this place has a 4.5 star rating. It deserves much lower. Except for that one hygienist, she deserves a much better workplace.

When I was a new patient last year I received fine care and quality service however in the last year things have gone downhill steeply. They failed to let me know my insurance was no longer accepted until a few weeks of an appointment that had been scheduled for 6months (they knew they were no longer accepting my insurance 3months prior), they have one orthodontist on staff at the Foothills location which means that if they are out of town or unavailable you cannot get service until they return, there is terrible communication between locations so trying to schedule/cancel appointments or use a different location is practically impossible. They have little customer service and rarely return phone calls or messages which makes getting time-sensitive information more painful than the pulling of actual teeth.
