We take great pride in remaining on the cutting edge of dental technology at Boulder Dental Arts. Our philosophy is if there is something that exists that will improve your experience at the dentist and outcome then we will get it. Plus we love cool stuff!

At Boulder Dental Arts, we utilize a suite of imaging technology for precise diagnostic ability and treatment. We are stoked to offer radiation-free alternatives to traditional dentist x-rays AND laser technology to replace the traditional scalpel!

The most recent generations of dentistry have recognized the principle that visualization = better success. If we can see what we are doing we can do a better job. Logic, right? This is why you often see dentists wearing magnifying loupes and headlamps. Those allow us to view your teeth at 2-4x their size, which in turn allows for better dentistry. The majority of endodontic specialists (and a few generalists) have invested in microscope technology, which allows us to now work comfortably at up to 12 times magnification.

CariVu is completely safe and perfect for our patients who may prefer to avoid x-rays. In fact, it is often more diagnostic than an x-ray for seeing cavities and cracks in your tooth. Boulder Dental Arts is one of the only North Boulder dentists to offer this service; we are very, very excited to have added this to the practice!

The thought of x-ray radiation can be disturbing. We offer our patients the latest in digital intra-oral radiology as part of our dental services. You get crystal clear images of your teeth and jaw with a fraction of the radiation exposure you receive from traditional x-rays.

Additionally, at Boulder Dental Arts we have the ability to take traditional bitewing x-rays from outside your head. All you need to do is stand there. This is perfect for children, people with small mouths, tori, gagging issues, or those who simply hate having a film or sensor jammed into their mouth which is most of us.

Who doesnt want a dentist who uses lasers? Not us. Maybe not even you! Our dual wavelength laser allows us to toss the scalpel aside and use gentle light to perform an assortment of procedures on your gums with much less pain, better healing results, and no bleeding. Kill bacteria during deep cleanings, painlessly adjust your gum contour, remove pesky frenums, and more!

We understand that a dental visit may not be rst on your list of fun things to do in life. It might not even be in the top ve for many of you. Yet it remains a necessary part of maintaining a healthy, happy lifestyle. The Boulder Dental Arts philosophy is to build a comfortable environment wherein you can relax, enjoy a friendly atmosphere, and reduce some of the anxiety that may be attached to a dental visit. We provide some of the most advanced dental practices in Boulder, in a setting that is actually fun. Even if you arent having work done, we welcome you to drop into our North Boulder office for a cold beverage, or just to say hello!

Boulder Dental Arts - General dentist in Boulder, CO

As with any technical service, there is an inherent knowledge imbalance with dental treatment that can contribute to feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. If you go to ve different dentists you might end up with seven different versions of what needs to be done. Why is this? Who is right? Is the expensive treatment plan just trying to gouge you? Is the person who says everythings just ne just telling you what you want to hear? Ive developed a very simple approach that I feel cannot ever fail you as a patient: I stand by any dental treatment I recommend, because I would also want it for my teeth or gums. I feel that maintaining this standard of practice means you will always receive the best possible dentistry with the condence that you arent being oversold (or neglected!).

Here at Boulder Dental Arts, you will always receive the highest possible standards of quality. Our objective is to ensure that you are satisfied with your dental outcome, and that what you get lasts. We are meticulous about technique, sterilization, materials, and the labs with which we work. A guaranteed perfect outcome is not possible, but it will always be what we strive for. This is what makes Boulder Dental Arts the best dentist in Boulder!

Root canals are never fun, but the 2 I had done today by Dr. Patrician were by far the easiest and least stressful I've ever experienced. All of the staff there are amazing and really try to make your time there as relaxing as possible. I also really appreciate how they always seem to be investing in the newer tools and technology as they come out, and are constantly trying to provide the best care possible for their patients.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Boulder Dental Arts. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a dentist. Dr. Patrician was booked up for a few months for an initial appointment, but when a cracked tooth started acting up, they offered to squeeze me in right away (after hours, no less). I've now been to the office three times - once for the temporary crown, back for the permanent crown, and once more for a cleaning. I was so impressed by my first visit that I wanted to leave a review right away, but made myself wait until everything was done so my review would be more complete. Boulder Dental Arts checks all the right boxes, plus a few extra. The office itself is very nice - it looks more like a spa than a dental clinic, decorated in stone and soothing colors, with comfortable furniture. The exam rooms are spotless and the technology and equipment they use are state of the art. But the people that work there are what really make this an outstanding practice. Dr. Patrician managed to put together a truly top-notch team. Every single member of the staff exudes competence and skill at their particular job. I feel bad singling out individuals because they are all incredible and I'm afraid I'll leave someone out. So I'll single out Dr. P, since he's the ringleader. He works with impressive speed, but definitely does not sacrifice quality for quickness. He's just that good. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my teeth, and even showed me the problem using some of that advanced technology, so I was crystal clear about the diagnosis and the treatment options. They were equally transparent about costs and insurance coverage. To reinforce my good feelings about their transparency and straightforwardness, I walked out of my crown procedure without a root canal after Dr. P saw that it wasn't needed after all. I haven't had a single issue with the crown since it was placed a few weeks ago and the procedure itself was (really, and I mean really) quick and surprisingly painless. My recent cleaning was equally impressive and the most thorough I've ever had. Boulder Dental Arts is doing everything right. This is how a practice should be run. Friendly, highly competent, efficient, welcoming, and caring people that actually appear to be having a great deal of fun working, somehow without sacrificing professionalism. Everyone is so happy you can't help but enjoy yourself. At the dentist. Who would have guessed? I would recommend this practice to family, friends, everyone. My spouse and my sister are patients of BDA as well, and since we all have nothing but glowing things to say, my mom is currently attempting to switch her dental insurance so she can join the party. That's the true test for me: would I recommend something to my mother? Well, I already have! Update (Sep 2022): no complaints whatsoever! My glowing review hasn't changed a bit, and my mom loves it too.

Dr. Patrician's facilities are clean and well equipped and the staff is nice. The problem is they are overbooked and scheduled out 8+ months in advance. I made an appointment in March 2022 for their earliest slot which was August 2022 (5 months later). I then called back in July to try to get in earlier because of severe jaw and toothache. I was able to get in on July 11th as a new patient for a cleaning and to address my pain. I filled out all the forms indicating I had TMJ, jaw, and toothache pain. Potentially even wisdom tooth pain. Once the cleaning was complete by a technician, the doctor finally came and did not address my jaw pain at all! I asked him to take a look at my jaw because he hadn't done it himself and he just made me open and close it once and did not provide any resolution or potential relief. Then when it came to scheduling my next cleaning which is supposed to be 6 months out, the soonest they could get me in was March 2023... 8 months later.

First time getting service from this office today and I have to say I'm blown away. From the welcoming staff to the state of the art technology they use. Visually the coolest dental office I've been to as well. Dr Jeffrey Patrician was very professional and easy going at the same time. Informative and honest about the assessment he made on my teeth and their health. I normally don't look forward to going to the dentist as I've had bad experiences with others in the past but after the service I received today i'm looking forward to my next visit. Thanks again Dr Jeffrey and staff!

I could not imagine having a better dentist and team to work with. They do exceptional work, always have a smile on their faces, and make going to the dentist more fun than I could have ever imagined. 5 STARS hands down!

I highly recommend going here. Jeff (the MD) is super friendly, professional and insightful. Very sincere and humble too. The whole vibe here is great: relaxed, welcoming and outdoorsy. Anna, the receptionist, was super friendly and nice. Ozzy was my dental hygienist (I think I'm saying that right) and was very professional yet funny and humble. Super friendly and inviting place. Everyone here is just great.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Patrician of Boulder Dental Arts. I had two root canals and crowns done and I've never been happier with my teeth. The fillings he did are absolutely perfect as well. He is professional, personal and efficient. I will not go to a different dentist. THANK YOU to Dr. Patrician and the entire team at Boulder Dental Arts!

I've lived in Boulder for over 30 years and Boulder Dental Arts is the BEST dentistry practice I've ever experienced. Jeff, Kyle and the crew are incredibly personable, warm, and skilled. Their technology really is state-of-the-art and painless. I actually look forward to going to see them! Recently I needed two crowns repaired. Jeff wouldn't settle for anything less than perfection and proceeded to have not 2 but 4 crowns made, so that they fit just right. Then he topped that off by charging me only for 1 crown! Bravo Boulder Dental Arts!

Just had a new patient appointment today, and I was really impressed by how nice everyone on the staff was and how much they paid attention to detail. The cleaning from the hygienist was exceptional and the advice from Dr. Patrician on how to manage my dental issues going forward was very frank and honest. Although I had to wait a bit to get in for an appointment, it was so worth it! Highly recommend!

Most fun root canal I've ever gotten! Dr. Patrician is literally the coolest dentist ever and the office doesn't feel like a torture chamber (as is the case at most dentist offices). The atmosphere is casual and I was not shamed once for needing significant dental work. Also, the staff run this office like a well oiled machine. I am confident he and the team will make my mouth great again.

We recently moved to Boulder from New York. It can be stressful to find new doctors. My neighbor recommended Boulder Dental Arts. My husband and I both went and loved it. All the equipment is state of the art. The staff are all super warm and friendly. I get anxiety when I have to have a cavity filled, so they gave me a warm weighted blanket to help me feel relaxed. The drill did not hurt at all and the whole thing took less than an hour. On the way out the desk staff went out of their way to give me a box of special floss that I use. Dr. Patrician is awesome. He treats people 18 and older but when I had some questions about my 14 year old's teeth he was happy to discuss with me. I'm so happy we found him and I highly recommend him.

Consistently impressed by the excellent service of Dr. Patrician and his staff! I've been a patient for almost 10 years and I always look forward to my appts at Boulder Dental Arts. They're kind, caring, and welcoming and it feels more like I'm hanging out with good friends while getting my teeth cleaned rather than "going to the dentist." So grateful to have you all as part of my care team.

I have been going to Dr. Patrician for years now and he is truly the best! Ive seen him for routine cleanings (lovely staff), fillings, bonding, and an extraction. He always makes me feel comfortable and answers all my questions. Cutting edge technology as well as a holistic approach- much better than your average dentist. If you're looking for a dentist you can trust, he's 100% your guy!

EXCELSIOR ! Waking up with pain in my mouth was pretty awful and pretty terrifying Doctor Partrician and his crew set the bar for patient experience. So compassionate- so kind. I was so relaxed I almost failed to notice the AMAZING massage chair i got to hang out in during my exam. If you are a human with dental anxiety like myself, and hold kindness high on your priority list, you can stop looking, your dental home is right here at the base of the mountains. Thank you Doctor & team!
