Dr. Jon and Dr. Amy are married and live in North Boulder with their daughter, Daphne, and 2 dogs, Izzy and Gnarly. Truly the best dentist I have ever visited. He made me feel like my case mattered instead of most offices where they just want to get you in and out as fast as possible; this was different. The entire staff was welcoming and helped me through the entire process of getting new teeth. The office is very high tech with the latest equipment. Not to mention, I LOVE MY NEW TEETH!!!!

Got my first filling and it looks better than my tooth before! As usual i am always nervous to go in and then Dr. Smith and any technician there makes me feel safe and taken care of. I absolutely will go no where else. I am finally on the right track to liking my teeth!

Today I had the most thorough dental check up ever: Cynthia began by 1st doing an overall check for mouth cancer and jaw alignment. I told her I had never had that done before when I've had my teeth cleaned. Thanks for the extra care.

My husband and I started using Boulder Canyon Dental in Boulder a few months ago. We both had crowns replaced and the process was smooth and painless, the staff is friendly, the office is clean and pleasant, they follow excellent Covid protocols. I saw Cyndi/hygienist, yesterday and she was careful and good about explaining the cleaning process.

Update: Dr. John saved my smile for a second time! I broke a tooth on a spring roll and he had me in and all fixed the next day. He's amazing, as is his staff. I never thought I'd love a dentist but here I am. I am forever grateful to everyone at Boulder Canyon Dental for giving me back my smile. If you could see under my mask you'd know what a great job they did! I can't wait to show off my smile.

I hadn't been to the dentist in over 1 year and went to establish care at Boulder Canyon Dental. They insisted on taking images of my teeth and assured me that it was covered by my insurance, though I had only come in for a cleaning and to get established. Turns out, my insurance did not cover taking new images because I wasn't due for that for another 4 months, so I ended up having to pay $100 out of pocket to Boulder Canyon Dental unnecessarily for something I did not need to do at that visit/something I would not have done if they hadn't insisted on it and falsely assured me that my insurance would cover it. When I expressed concern and disappointment over this, BCD told me there was nothing they could do and that I had to pay. Very disappointing. Make sure that you know what your dental insurance covers and when if you go to BCD, and do not let them insist that you do something at a visit so that they can earn an extra $100 off of you. **Update: I rounded up to $100 in the above--I was technically charged $86, since we are splitting hairs. Again, I think that the point is that people need to be aware that they should call their dental insurance company prior to their visit and confirm exact benefits and not just rely on a dentist who claims that things are covered by insurance when they have not confirmed that info. I would have been more than happy to postpone my visit with BCD for 4 months until my insurance covered these new dental images, but I was urged to do this at the time of my appointment on the assurance by the staff that this would be covered by insurance. $86 is not an insignificant amount to pay in hard financial times. My issue then is with how the office treated me in the aftermath of this visit and making the payment--they did not attempt to retain my business. I think that is evident in the organization's reply to this review as well.

Excellent hygienists and Dr. Jon is incredibly knowledgeable. Definitely recommend seeing this practice is you are in Boulder. UPDATE I started Botox treatment with Dr. Amy, and the difference in my grinding is amazing. Huge proponent, and Dr. Amy is amazing!

Updated review: Boulder Canyon Dental is always friendly and absolutely the best-equipped I've ever seen. Great equipment is both more comfortable and comforting, as is knowing they keep up with the latest best-practices. I have a tough time with bite-wing x-rays in general but they work with me creatively. I also appreciate they try to make the entire experience positive - from check in to follow-up.

If you are looking for a new DDS look no more. My recent appointment was so smooth. I had to reschedule an appointment with BCD. The staff were so helpful and kind getting me rescheduled for my cleaning the same week. This was my first time meeting Cindy and my cleaning was professional and thorough. I am not a calm patient at the dentist but Cindy made me comfortable and did a great job. Dr Jon gave me some words of advise and homework keep me on top of my dental health.
