Dr. Kellen Bosma grew up in Joliet, Illinois. Dr. Ramona Bosma grew up in LaGrange, Illinois. They both received their undergraduate degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Kellen graduated with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and Dr. Ramona with a B.S. in chemistry. They both received their dental degrees from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kellen's passion for dentistry grew while working as an engineer for a dental manufacturing company in St. Louis, MO. For Dr. Ramona, the marriage between her passion for people and her love of working with her hands led to her desire of becoming a dentist.
Drs. Kellen and Ramona have been together for 17 years and married for 13. They met in their last year of undergraduate study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They hadbeen living in the St. Louis area for about 11 years while going to dental school and later practicing as associates at separate practices. They hoped to one day live near family and practice dentistry together. After much searching their hope became a reality when they found Drs. Chulick and Currey's practice.
They have an adventurous, fun-loving 7 year old son and precious 5 yearold daughter. They enjoy traveling, outdoor activities such as biking, swimming and running and other various sports. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, and have been active in their church. Together Drs. Kellen and Ramona are passionate about people and dentistry. They strive to treat each patient with kindness and respect while treating oral disease at the highest level of care and competence. From the materials and technology to the techniques and advanced continuing education, they understand that patient trust and confidence is an honor and a privilege and they treat each patient as they would want to be treated themselves. They will continue to run the practice with the same high quality standards and carry on the legacy that was established by Drs. Chulick and Currey over the years.
Lindsey graduated from Parkland College in Champaign, IL in 2011 and has been working as Registered Dental Hygienist ever since. She recently moved to the area and joined Bosma Dental in November 2015! She recentlymarried her high school sweetheart of 12 years. They have an eight year old Pomeranian named Milly and a Boxer named Sawyer. She enjoys golfing with her husband and spending time with family and friends.
Lisa has been in the dental field since 1988. She graduated from Bryman Institute with a certification in dental assisting. After receiving her certification, she assisted in the northwest suburbs from 1988-2003. In 1994, Lisa and her family moved to the DeKalb area. In 2003, Lisa was hired by Dr. Chulick and assisted in his practice until his retirement in 2015. Lisa has been working with Dr. Kellen and Dr. Ramona Bosma since April of 2015. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, friends, shopping and going on vacations.
Rachel has worked in the dental field for 11 years. Knowing she wanted to pursue dental hygiene, she got a job as a dental assistant while doing night classes. She was working as an assistant and front desk, when she was accepted into the dental hygiene program at Rock Valley College; where she graduated in 2013. Rachel loves educating and caring for people's health, dental hygiene has allowed her to do both! She recently moved to the Sycamore area and is very excited to join the Bosma Dental team!
Rachel is married to her high school sweetheart, Chase. They have 2 boys, 9 and 7, and one 5 year old daughter (who was 2 weeks old when Rachel graduated hygiene school). Rachel keeps busy with her 3 kids and dog Wrigley. She is active in her church on the worship team. She enjoys volleyball, podcasts, pizza, and spending time at the lake with family and friends!
Maggie has worked in the dental industry for 36 years. She enjoys interaction with our patients everyday and has met some amazing people! Maggie and her husband of 36 years have lived in the area their whole lives. They have threechildren and four granddaughters who keep them busy and laughing. (It's a wonderful world of Disney at their house when the girls are around!) She also enjoys going to the movies, crafting, scrapbooking, and has a small wedding/event planning business with her daughter.
Nancy is a native of the Sycamore area and has been in the dental field since the early 80's. She worked as a dental assistant, receptionist, and office manager. She was accepted into the dental hygiene program at William Rainey Harper College and has been a dental hygienist since the mid-80's. Nancy loves working with people and enjoys the benefits of educating patients about dental health. She has three grown children and enjoys spending time with family and friends along with swimming, boating, traveling to the Caribbean and anything else that involves water.
Patience has 20 years of dental hygiene experience. She is a 1996 graduate of Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Patience is married and has two children. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Ruth has worked at the front desk for the past 18 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart. They have two wonderful sons, a daughter in law, a 1 year old granddaughter, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Ruth likes to read and scrapbook. She also loves to fish and hike in the Colorado mountains when visiting her son and daughter in law.
Vanessa has been a dental assistant since 1999 when she began with Dr. Anthony Chulick. She has been married to Dan Jensen Jr. since 2001, and they have two Shih Tzu's named Porter and Chloe. Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and she loves to shop.
