Dr. Kelly Thompson is a Colorado native, receiving her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her dental training at the University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Thompson spent five years serving as a dentist in the U.S. Army, during which she was selected for and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.

Dr. Thompson met her husband while serving in the military, and after years of military assignments around the country, they were both thrilled to return to Colorado and make it their forever home. Outside of work, Dr. Thompson and her family enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, running, hiking and skiing. Dr. Thompson is passionate about continued learning. She is an active member in the ADA, CDA, MDDS and local study clubs.

Dr. Monica Borris completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of Paraiba, Brazil. She received her dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Dr. Borris completed her General Dentistry Residency at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Additionally, she has received a Masters degree in Implantology from the Goethe Universitat, Frankfurt, Germany, allowing her to be your top choice for dental implants. Staying well-informed of the latest dental techniques and technology is extremely important to Dr. Borris. Dr. Borris and her husband have five children, two grandchildren and more to come! During her free time, she enjoys cooking, canning, reading and spending time with her family.

Originally from Brazil, Dr Carlos Salas had the opportunity to move to different countries as a child to include the United States. Being raised here and there, his flexibility of time led him to complete his dental studies in Brazil and follow up in a surgery and facial trauma program. His decision later came to return to the United States to follow a dream he had of serving in the United States Navy. While serving under the command of outstanding Oral Surgeons and being part of such a team, his exposure and experience were combined to lead him to an opportunity like no other, to be part of Pacific Partnership 2010, a multi disciplinary military mission from several countries, he teamed up with surgeons where together, he took part in 70 cleft lip and palate repairs in addition to other surgeries.

He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and co-author of Humanitarian Cleft Care in Southeast Asia: Military-Civilian Partnerships and the Role of the US Navy Ship Mercy published in the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. A few months later after returning home he was honorably discharged and moved to Colorado where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Carlos Salas believes in definitive dentistry, great quality of work and always maintains a good relationship with his patients and team members. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, he is also caring and listens to his patients and has been told that is able to somehow calm and ease patients who have had poor past dental experiences. He enjoys his time with his family and together take advantage of Colorados scenery and events, a huge fan of music and concerts, led him to pick up a guitar again, keeps active with sports such as swimming and biking.

Nikki has over five years of dental experience. She has extensive knowledge in treatment planning, insurance and finances. She will be a helping hand in any questions you may have during your visit. Nikki strives to make sure every patient is well taken care of and that their visit is pleasant and enjoyable one.

Nikki attended The Art Institute of Colorado for an Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry. She is a Colorado Native. Outside of work, Nikki enjoys spending time with the people who are most precious to her.

Deidre has 12 years of customer service experience, and over 5 years in the medical field. With multiple state certifications, and a degree in Occupational Sciences, Deidre is looking forward to helping each patient however possible with knowledge in various areas. She wants to make sure every patient feels safe and welcome. Deidre is excited to help you have the best visit possible with a kind and calm demeanor.

Deidre loves to read and write, and hopes to publish a book someday. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, Taylor Swift, Disney, watching scary movies, anything to do with autumn, and spending time with her husband Dean and bull dog Ellie.

Sarah graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Community College of Denver in 2015. She has worked in the dental field for over 9 years and it is truly her passion. Her patients love seeing her because she is always upbeat, caring and very informative. Sarah strives to make sure her patients are comfortable, and wants to work to make your mouth a happy and healthy place.

Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Community College of Denver in 2022. She began her journey in 2004, working as a dental hygiene assistant in Public Health. Since then, she worked for the Department of Defense and Borris Dental as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. After obtaining her Dental Hygiene license in 2021, Sarah returned to work for Borris Dental. Sarah is passionate about dental science and providing the highest level of oral health.

Sarah is married to her childhood sweetheart Troy has two daughters and two male Dogo Argentino Mastiffs. She enjoys spending time with her family, hosting parties, camping, and skiing. Sarah and her husband are always doing DIY projects together on their house.

Antje, or Aj as she lets us call her, is originally from Germany. She is an EDDA assistant and has been in the dental field now for 26 years. AJ is married with one teenage son and has 3 wonderful dogs, 1 Irish Setter and 2 brother Weimaraner puppies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She makes getting to know our patients and what makes them comfortable a true priority.

Evee has almost 2 years of dental assisting experience after graduating from dental assisting school in March of 2020. She loves building relationships with the patients and wants them to feel like they are getting the best care possible. Her calm demeanor is refreshing, especially for those who have dental anxiety. Evee is excited to continue learning and growing in this profession.

She is currently working towards obtaining her license in the United States and is very happy to join the Borris Dental team. Her main interests are to provide wellness to patients, help and learn from each experience.
