Dr. Jong Yoon was born and raised in South Korea, and he moved to the U.S. by himself when he was 14 years old. After obtaining Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Dr. Yoon attended the University of California - San Francisco, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014.
Since then, he worked as an associate dentist in various dental offices in Illinois and Washington State. Dr. Yoon is committed to taking care of each patients individual dental care needs in comfort. He strives to be the dentist that patients can trust and rely upon for their unique dental needs.
He takes many hours of continuing education courses each year, and he enjoys learning more about general dentistry and implants. When he is not in the office, Dr. Yoon enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife Michele.
It has been a pleasure to serve the community of Blaine for the last 11 years so it is with very mixed emotions that I am announcing that I will be stepping away from my practice to pursue other opportunities in dentistry. I want to thank you for trusting me with your dental care needs. I know I live in a great place when I consider my patients also my friends, neighbors, and colleagues. It has been a very difficult decision but I am very excited for the future of Borderview Dental.
After a considerable search for dentists that I feel would be an excellent fit for the practice I have found Drs Jong Yoon and Michele Lim. They are a husband and wife team that are very skilled, caring, and experienced. I have been impressed with their education, experience, and treatment philosophy. They are both caring and empathetic dentists that I have the utmost confidence in to continue the exceptional care we have always strived for. They have moved from Federal Way to make Blaine their home and community and they look forward to meeting all of you.
This is such an incredible community and area that I will still continue to reside in Whatcom County and look forward to seeing all of you around. Again, I want to thank you for entrusting me and my team with your dental needs. I am excited for the future of the practice and am confident you will be well cared for and happy with Drs Yoon and Lim.

Great medical service. I usually go to Mexico for my dentist needs. So when I do need a dentist here they often had a bad attitude about my Mexico preference. Not these doctors. They fixed my failed Mexico implant on the first visit. They were really kind and professional. I definitely will be using them as my US dentist in the future.

I have been a patient at border view since 2013 and I am glad I chose this office for dental services. The staff are professional, accommodating, and the service is exceptional. Appreciate the outstanding service. Also, the front desk staff are great!

I have always been very anxious about going to the dentist. Today I saw Dr. Lim. WOW!! She was fantastic. So kind and gentle. I loved her assistant Kirsten as well!

Horrible. Not for pediatric patients. Scratched the heck out of my daughters mouth and gave her a long time fear of dentists. Also gave me a hard time when I refused to have my wisdom teeth removed, even though there was nothing wrong with them. The office and the hygienist were great though. Nice office, very clean. I really hope that particular dentist no longer works there.
