Dr. Bookwalter has provided orthodontic care to families in Plymouth since 1977. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio State University Dental School. After serving two years as Lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corps, he came to the University of Michigan for post-graduate work and received his Masters degree in Orthodontics in June of 1977.
Dr. Bookwalter is an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Michigan, where he supervises patient treatment by the residents and participates in seminar and course work in bio-mechanics, diagnosis and treatment planning, and practice management. He has served as an officer in the Michigan Association of Orthodontists and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Bookwalter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and has lectured on and published clinical research material.
Dr. Fee completed her orthodontic residency at University of Michigan and joined the practice in 1994. She also attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies in Biology as well as receiving her graduate Dental and Masters degrees in 1987, 1991 and 1994, respectively.
Dr. Fee has been honored by the American Association of Orthodontists as the recipient of their award for Excellence in Orthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She has served as an Adjunct Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Michigan and has been honored to be an Orthodontic Board Examiner for the State of Michigan. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, as well as the Detroit District Dental Society, for which she is a previous five-year board member. Dr. Fee has also been involved in developing and is a consultant to the SISU mouthguard company with Akervall Technologies.
In her free time, Dr. Fee enjoys spending time with her husband and three children in their school and related activities, as well as spending time together in favorite spots in northern Michigan. She enjoys the arts and being creative, being outdoors, skiing, snowboarding and tennis!
Dr. Wright completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where she received a Bachelors degree in Biology. She continued her education at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and then completing an additional three-year residency to receive her Masters degree in Orthodontics. She joinedthe practiceupon completion of her residency in 2000.
Dr. Wright is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association. She has been an active member of the Detroit District Dental Society, serving several years on the board. She was also elected to the board of the Michigan Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Wright has been a guest lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Wright and her husband, Andy, have four children, Gavin, Libby, Kate and Charlotte. When she is not in the office, she keeps busy with various school activities, sporting events, and generally being a mom. She also enjoys traveling with her family to her hometown of Traverse City.
Drs. Bookwalter, Fee and Wright are proud to support the community and various organizations including athletic teams, music programs, and school sponsored activities. They enjoy sharing their love of orthodontics by volunteering for mentoring programs and going into schools to talk about their profession.

Dr Wright and her staff are so caring and always made sure my child's health a priority. It was Friday afternoon and My son had an abscess in his mouth. They made an effort to have someone meet us there and one of the drs. come in and treat him. I can't thank them enough! To say the least both my son and daughter's teeth have perfect smiles.

We have been impressed with the quality of orthodontic care here for our children. We love how easy it is to get in for any concerns with our appliances or braces. Every appointment has been very punctual, appropriately fast and feels clean and safe regarding pandemic measures.

Dr. Bookwalter has been great! My daughter had a bad case, and needed braces severely. She began treatment at 9 years old and her teeth now look amazing. Not only do they follow up on her progress, they ensure that she is referred to a specialist if things arise that can mess up her smile such as wisdom teeth. Go here! You will not be disappointed

All 4 of my daughters have used Bookwalter, Fee, and Wright and they all love it there. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The doctors are amazing at what they do and are friendly and easy to work with. Every interaction we've ever had at the office has been a positive one.

Great office!!! Everyone is very considerate and kind to my daughter as well as to me. Such a fresh of breath air when the whole staff treats you like family. Dr. Wright is so kind and personable always. She goes out of her way to say hi or wish me a happy birthday (that was special). The staff also is very personable and came out to talk to me to tell me how kind my daughter is. What a great office. I would recommend this office to everyone. It is worth every penny

All the orthodontists at Bookwalter, Fee, and Wright are extremely credentialed and provide amazing expertise and customer service! Two of the normal adult front teeth are missing from my daughter's mouth and Doctor Bookwalter showed us pictures of other kids with the same condition and how he corrected it. This really gave us and my daughter the reassurance we needed to move forward with the course of action we chose of the 2 possibilities. Love everyone at this office!

Dr. Fee is the best! I had to have braces for the second time, but this time as an adult. I tried several different orthodontic offices and they were very pushy and high sales. Dr fee not at all, she gave me the info and told me to look it over discuss with my husband. I knew right away this was gonna be a good fit. Every office visit the staff was so friendly. They were always able to get me in very quickly for emergency appointments. And Dr. Fee worked with me on some difficult things I had going on with my teeth. She was patient and took the time needed to get the job done right! I would definitely recommend this office to any one. Very family friendly!

Both of my children are patients of Dr. Wright. We have had a great experience and Dr. Wright always goes above and beyond to make herself available for questions or emergency calls (such as when my sons bracket broke and she met us in the office Thanksgiving morning!). The office is always prompt and takes patients on time for their appointments. Highly recommend!
