Dr. Teodoro served as a Major in the United States Air Force practicing Periodontics. Throughout his Air Force career he served as the Chief of Periodontics, Director of the Implant Board & Clinical Instructor.
Dr. Teodoro is one of the local leading authorities in Laser Periodontal Therapy and in the Brnemark method of Implantology. He was the first Periodontist in both Lee and Collier county to bring Periodontal Laser technology with the PerioLase Laser for the treatment of Periodontal Disease.
Dr. Teodoro regularly attends continuing education courses to expand his knowledge and skills in the latest surgical techniques. He travels all around the country and overseas each year to learn from the leaders in oral, implant and periodontal surgery.
Dr. Teodoro met his wife Erin while attending Dental School in Pittsburgh. Dr. Erin Taylor is a Pediatric Dentist in Bonita Springs. They are both proud parents of Lauren Nicole and a Goldendoodle named Ellie. Dr. Teodoro enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, scuba diving, biking and running.
Lexie joined Dr. Teodoros team in 2010 as his Head Surgical Assistant. Since then she has transitioned into management. Lexie was born in Columbia, Maryland and shortly after moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she grew up. Lexie relocated to Florida in 2007. Lexie enjoys spending time with family and friends, and of course, her dog, Bailey. Lexie is an avid sports fan for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.

I received a warm welcome to the practice. Dr Teodoro was charming and extremely thorough. Having examined me he took all the time needed to explain everything and answer my questions. I went to him for a second opinion and really wish I had been to him first. I highly recommend Dr Toedoro.

Like most people, a trip to the Periodontist office is not exactly something you are looking forward to. My experience however was extremely the opposite, infact I would say overall, it was pleasant as it could possibly be. The entire staff were pleasant, and did whatever they could to make you feel relaxed and confortable. Dr Juan Teodoro introduced himself and examined me, & then gave me several various ways he could correct my problem, and the costs related to each. I selected the opuition which best suited my needs, and he was able to do the first proceedure immediately after giving me novocaine, which was the removal of a tooth which had broken below my gum line. This extraction was painless, and was followed by a bone graft. Dr. Teodoro gave me his personal cell # and instructed me to call if I had any problems. He also personally called me a couple hours l at later to see how I was doing. I will return in a few weeks, to have the stiches removed. And I am happy to say, that I have thus far had no swelling, or trouble. I will also be returning in 3 months, to have a post implanted after my bone has healed. So, I would again recommend Dr. Juan Teodoro to anyone that develops a periodontal problem and is in need of his service.

Dr T was excellent and he described what he had to do to fix my teeth. I had extreme periodontal disease and had a tooth with no root. His equipment to show me all this was amazing ! I have a two hour appointment with him next week (for two hours) to get this all finished. He and his entire staff was very knowledgeable and extremely kind. I am looking forward to next week! Betsy

This periodontist was phenomenal. He was very nice, gentle and and me feel like I was in great hands. I really appreciated the state of the art equipment he has in his office. His staff is also amazing and so nice. Finding a doctor like this is a gem!

The office staff there is very impersonal, matter of fact, and not willing to accept any other information other than what they 'think" is fact. I had been a patient there for a few years and after experiencing unorthodox billing practices, i.e., pay upfront IN FULL and be reimbursed by my insurance provider, I would not return. After exstensively researching this with our dental insurance provider, they do not reimburse me- Dr.T.'s office should. After several attempts to have them understand this -and even having my insurance rep speak to the office manager/staff they still did not care to recognize this fact.. So much so, the office decided I was no longer wanted as a patient with a beautifully written letter informing me of such. Dr.Teodoro's practice is lacking severely with his office staff regarding patient concerns, always being told they will call you back, and never do, or short and matter -of- fact with you. Beware- they want you to pay ALL monies up front and will tell you your insurance company will reimburse you the difference and that may not be the case regarding your insurance provider. Check first with your provider! The staff is obviously only concerned about telling you how they "think" they should be paid- do not expect them to debate their "facts" with you. They are not open to discussion about it. I trust my insurance carrier- not their office staff when it comes to facts. Just so glad there are so many other doctor's and staff out there to choose from who don't have such nefarious billing practices!

I have had two dental implants done by Dr Teodoro, and would not use anyone else if I need another. Professional, polite and top notch work. Staff always friendly too.The best!
