As a dentist, I thrive on the relationships that develop with my patients. Each person is important to me, as an individual, and I appreciate the opportunity to get to know them and build a connection.
Many people have a level of anxiety at the thought of a dental visit, often as a result of a prior experience. It is my desire, and that of my team, to show patients that todays dentistry means gentle and comfortable procedures.
All of us are calm, patient, and empathetic. You will never be judged for feeling anxious about a procedure, I promise. Instead, we will take the time needed to ensure you are informed, at ease with what will happen, and comfortable throughout the treatment.
Transforming patients feelings about dentistry, and creating excitement about the new technologies and techniques to make treatment comfortable, is rewarding. Having a patient arrive feeling scared and leaving with a big smile, amazed at how easy and untroubledeverything was, is really one of my favorite things!
I was drawn to the profession as it offers the ability to work closely with each patient, building a lasting and trusting bond. What could be better than helping people I care about develop and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles?
It is a joy to provide the best quality materials and services, ensuring patients receive the best dental treatment and results available. In order to deliver this level of dentistry, I regularly participate in continuing education (CE) to stay at the forefront of the latest developments.
Constant hands-on CE keeps me up-to-date with technology to create the most comfortable patient experience possible. Likewise, CE keeps me current on the most streamlined advancements in dentistry, which allows me to create a wonderful experience and ideal results.
I grew up in Miami and now, with my family, call Naples home. Dr. Joana Lastres, a local board-certified pediatric dentist, is my wife. We have a young daughter, Jade, who fills our life and home with joy. Sabrina, our French bulldog, rounds out the family; she is named after a brunch place in Philadelphia that Joana and I love.
We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Fabulous experience at Bonita Beach Cosmetic Dentistry. From the front desk staff to the hygienist to the Dr Alvarez, nothing but a positive experience. They came highly recommended. Moved here last year and I'm so glad I found my new dentist!

Wow. Dr. Alvarez saved our holiday. We were visiting Bonita Springs for the holiday season when one of our daughter's bracket wires on her braces popped and started to poke out of her month. We discovered Dr. Alvarez's office randomly and stopped to see if they could help. Without hesitation, Dr. Alvarez and Chrystal, his assistant, were so welcoming. They cleared a spot in their treatment rooms and treated my daughter quickly and effectively. Dr. Alvarez even offered to store the bracket in a sterilization bag for my daughter to keep and share with her orthodontist. My father was with us. He is a retired dentist and continues to be so proud of the profession. Thank you again Dr. Alvarez and Chrystal.

I have just moved to Naples and I was struggling to find a dentist I could feel comfortable with. I have multiple relatively new implants and I needed to start with a Fla Doc. I spoke to one of my Neighbors in Esplanade and he recommended Bonita Dental Care. I have to tell you the experience was excellent. I Highly Recommend Dr. Jose J. Alvarez. He took the time to examine my teeth and look at everything even though he didn't do the work. I look forward to using him in the future. HIGHLY RECOMEND

Since I absolutely am not a fan of dentists finding one I am comfortable with is difficult! This office makes me comfortable, excellent service, warm friendly people! Linda is a super hygienist! If you are looking for a super dentist and office give them a try!

My husband and I are seasonal residents and were looking for a dentist in the area. A friend recommended this office and we went for the first time the other day for a routine cleaning. We were very pleased with the office personnel and dental workers. We both met Dr Alvearez when he examined our teeth and had a short conversation. He was very helpful and professional. We will be returning for future visits.
