A Baton Rouge native and Catholic High School graduate, Dr. Bonaventure earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSUs School of Dentistry. Dr. Bonaventure devotes himself to mastering established and cutting-edge dental techniques, providing his patients with quality care tailored to their needs.
Before joining the Bonaventure Dental Care Team, Dr. Megison owned his own dental office for 21 years. Originally a native of Shreveport, he came to LSU for his undergraduate degree, then finished dental school at LSUDS. After a 2 year dental residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, he settled in Baton Rouge to start his dental office.
Jodi is our Operations Manager. Jodi joined the Bonaventure Dental team in 2016. She has more than 10 years of experience in the dental industry. She loves every aspect of dentistry, especially patient care. She grew up here in Baton Rouge. She loves to travel with her husband, Dr. Clay Runfalo, and daughters, Carlyle and Josie.
Alexis is the head assistant of Bonaventure Dental Care. Alexis grew up in Arkansas before moving to Baton Rouge for undergrad at LSU, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She is currently working on her Masters in Healthcare Administration. She is always eager to learn and help patients feel as comfortable as possible. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys traveling with her husband, Alex, and their black labs, Brody and Riley.
Dani has been a dental hygienist at Bonaventure Dental Care since 2015. She grew up in Maurice, LA and received her RDH degree in Chicago, where she lived for 20 years before moving to Baton Rouge in 2014. She loves spending time with her husband and 2 boys and drinking wine. Dani enjoys spending time educating patients and making them feel comfortable at our dental office. Her specialty is telling cool dad jokes and driving Dr. Bonaventure crazy.
Kaitlyn is part of the front desk team at Bonaventure Dental Care. Kaitlyn has been working with Dr. Bonaventure in many roles, ensuring top level patient comfort and care. Kaitlyn grew up in Ascension Parish and attended our in-house dental assisting school, Dental Assisting Academy of Louisiana. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends. She is always ready to help and comes to work with a smile on her face.
Karlee joined the BDC team in 2019. A Baton Rouge native, Karlee received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biological Sciences from LSU. She then decided to pursue a career in dentistry and earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. When she is not helping patients achieve a healthy smile, Karlee enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
Jenna joined the Bonaventure dental team in January 2021. She grew up in Donaldsonville, LA. Jenna earned her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry in 2009. Jenna enjoys educating patients about their oral health and getting to know them. She enjoys spending time with her son, Ethan, and her family and friends.
Lauren is one of our dental assistants. Lauren is originally from Marksville, Louisiana. She moved to Baton Rouge in 2014 where she graduated from Math, Science, and Arts Academy in 2018. She then attended Baton Rouge Dental Assistant Academy to earn her certification. She is currently enrolled at BRCC working on her Associate in Nursing. She enjoys her job and caring for patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Kayla joined the Bonaventure Dental team in January 2021 and has worked her way up to being one of our dental assistants, and absolutely loves it. Being able to give patients the confidence with their smile is what she strives for, each and every day. Kayla grew up in Assumption, LA but is now a resident of Plaquemine, LA with her boyfriend, Gavin. Outside of work she loves to do anything outdoors with her two Boston Terriers, Jett and Jax. Kayla most enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Madison joined Bonaventure Dental Care in May of 2021 and is a part of the front desk team. She has always had a passion for the dental field and thoroughly enjoys being a part of this amazing dental team. She is a dog mom to a beautiful lab mix named Storm. Madison loves to spend time with her friends and family in her spare time.
Nancy is our Hygiene Scheduling Coordinator. Nancy joins us after 15 years of experience with Dr. Megisons dental office. She is a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. She has been married to her husband Kerry for 35 years and they have two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and friends.
Chelsey is one of our dental assistants who joined our Bonaventure Dental Team in June 2021. She grew up in Pierre Part, LA and still lives there with her boyfriend, Kade and their dog, Sadie. She graduated from River Parish Community College in 2020 where she earned her Associates Degree in general studies. She then attended Unitech Training Academy where she got her dental assisting certification. She truly enjoys being able to interact with people and making sure patients are taken care of. In Chelseys spare time, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends and doing anything outdoors.

I am 67 years old and have had problems with my teeth my entire life. I have a high tolerance for the anesthetics used and as a result have had some horrible dentists visit experiences in the past. Dr Bonaventure came highly recommended so I thought I would give him a try as I had several pressing issues with my teeth that needed attention and I was in Baton Rouge. I can say that this was probably the best experience I have had at the dentist office getting treatment. All of the staff were so nice and attentive to my every need. They were all very knowledgeable and professional in carrying out their duties. I live in Houston but will now make regular visits to Baton Rouge as needed so that Dr. Bonaventure and his team can care for my teeth. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bonaventure and his entire team.

Dr. Bonaventure is Baton Rouge's GREATEST DENTIST! He's kind, caring, personable and professional. He takes as much time as necessary to speak with you to understand your needs, never rushing you. He doesn't pressure his patients to have unnecessary dental work. My crowns and fillings, he's done, are perfect! He does everything in his power to make your experience a pleasant one. The facility is incredible! It's extremely sterile and is state of the art. I feel very comfortable in this office. Karlee is my hygienist there. She's fabulous! She's sweet, considerate, professional and excellent at her job. My teeth look and feel so much better after she works her magic! Nancy took my X-rays. No pain! I was so grateful for her gentleness. She was also kind and efficient. The front desk is top notch. My bill was ready before my departure and was explained to me in detail, by Nancy, including costs and applicable insurance. I actually am looking forward to my next visit in 2 weeks to have an old filling replaced. Never thought in a million years I'd ever say those words!!! Thanks Dr. Bonaventure and staff! Y'all are the BEST!!!!

I've been going here a little over two years now even before they relocated. I must say they have a nice and professional staff. Every time I go in for a cleaning they make me feel like family. Today I went in for a cleaning with Dani. Not only did she take care of my teeth but I decided to purchase some whitening strips. With the help of Dani not only did I get the strips but the sonibrush and heads to go alone with it. Most people nowadays just do their jobs for the money but you can notice the ones who love there craft. Next time you go here go see DANI she'll hook you up. SHE DESERVES A RAISE! ! !

BEST DENTAL OFFICE IVE EVER BEEN TO ! Let me start by saying I had not been to the dentist in 7 years. Due to a fear that I've had since I was very young. A dentist hit me while in the chair, very traumatic, I only go now to get teeth pulled. No cleanings or fillings. I ONLY go to the dentist when I have a tooth that must be pulled. My very first visit here (consultation which was covered by insurance) I IMMEDIATELY felt an overwhelming comfort. The staff is amazing. Alexis is literally my best friend now and dr bonaventure took the time to listen to my history and be super gentle and patient with me. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back and will refer anyone and everyone that needs dental work done to come here !!!

As someone who is terrified of going to the dentist, Dr. Bonaventure and his staff put those fears to rest each and every visit. Sedation dentistry is wonderful and works so well for me. I also enjoy the t.v. Channel programmed to the puppies and kittens show., if requested. Also, the people couldn't be kinder. My whole family now sees Dr. Bonaventure.
