Dr. Ghafourpour grew up in the Bay Area and attended UCLA for his undergrad and postgrad degrees in Chemistry and Geophysics. He graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1986, at which time he began his practice here in Foster City and became an Associate Professor at the school as well as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society.He also acquired an MBA degree, in 1999, from University Of The Pacific.

As an active member of the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA) he continually updates his knowledge and expertise, with extensive training in all areas, including Implantology. He is a member of the International Team of Implantologists (ITI) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE).

One of Foster Citys first and finest dentists, Dr. Bonahoom has been in private practice for over forty years. After graduating from the University of Nebraska Dental College in 1972, he became the Team Dentist for the San Francisco 49ersa position he still holdsas well as the original San Jose Sharks dentist from 1991 to 2005. Since its inception, Dr. Bonahooms practice has specialized in Sports Trauma and Cosmetic Dentistry, as well as Complete Adult Dentistry He is an active member of the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA), and enjoys travel and golf.
