Dr. Bolduc grew up in a Navy family experiencing many cultures across the world. At age 17, he spent a year with his grandfather, a dentist in Indiana, and fell in love with the profession. He majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Appalachian State University. After earning his doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University he accepted a Commission as a dental officer with the Navy. During his tenure with the Navy, he completed a residency before serving at sea and in the Middle East. He recently completed his commission at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard providing dental services to marines, congressman and Naval Officers.

If you are a current patient, and have a dental emergency after regular office hours, please call us at (703) 309-2490 and follow the instructions. Dr. Matthew Bolduc will do what it takes to get you comfortable. If there is a need to see you in the office outside of regular office hours, please keep in mind that there will be an after hour emergency fee associated with your visit.
Please understand that we file dental insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. No insurance company pays 100% for all procedures. We have no control over how your insurance company determines your benefits and issues payment for treatment received by you (a procedure may be determined as covered, non-covered, or downgraded). A non-covered service results in patient responsibility for the office fees. A downgraded service results in patient responsibility for the difference between negotiated insurance fee of the downgraded service and the office fee for the provided service, unless it is prohibited by law or there is an agreement between insurance company and the provider.
We can only assist our patients in estimating their portion of the cost of treatment based on information received from the insurance company. At no time can we guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. We also cannot be responsible for any errors in estimating and filing your insurance claim.
The patient is responsible to inform Bolduc Dental of any changes that affects their insurance, such as change in insurance company, policy name, insurance company address, or a change of employment, etc.

I had been going to this practice for few years, great service, friendly staff, Dr. is always very pleasant to talk to, and provides good service. Most recently I have an emergency case that I need an appointment right away to alleviate pain, they are able to work with me to get my situation under control while dealing with very packed schedule, I really appreciate that they care about patients and make extra effort to have a solution. Highly recommend this practice.

Not quite a fan as the others. I was 10 minutes late and told if I was any later then 10 minutes my appointment would be rescheduled. Even fine dining gives you 15 minutes. I forgot my credit card and had to call in once I returned home, yet they started calling me for payment 30 minutes after I left. I have been a patient along with my 3 children for 5 years and my sister went to dental school with the Dr. Not to mention I was referred by his college classmate a Local Vienna Favorite Orthodontist. Bedside manner is dry at best. They told me I did not have dental coverage, which I do (PPO) Dentists are a dime a dozen, know your patients, they look forward to their bi annual visit. Next ;)

Dr Bolduc is crazy smart and yet crazy gentle at the same time. Exactly what one wants in a dentist. And his dental assistants and staff see the same thing and one can tell they enjoy working with him. It's just a great atmosphere where the patient feels truly taken care of--that's rare and refreshing. :)

The whole entire staff here is amazing. From Dr.Bolduc, to the assistants, Kaban and May, they all make sure you feel comfortable. Every time I come in I have an amazing experience. they always make sure to let me know every step before they proceed, leaving me with zero nerves or confusion. The dentist can be nerve wracking thing for some people. Don't hesitate to come in here for anything you need done. I promise they won't disappoint!

The best part of working with Dr. Bolduc and his wonderful staff is communication. They really make sure you understand what's going on and don't mind taking the time to explain why, what, how, etc. makes you feel involved which makes the process a lot smoother.

Dr. Bolduc is always efficient and on time, never making you wait. The whole staff is friendly and professional. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and comes up with a plan. The dental assistants are knowledgeable and gentle while cleaning your teeth.

We went in for a standard examination/cleaning and x-rays, and had an excellent overall experience (this was our first time at Dr. Bolduc's office). Neither of us usually write reviews but this visit - an otherwise fairly mundane bi-annual check-up - was really outstanding for both of us. Great communication and coordination between Dr. Bolduc and us as well as with his team, and gentle but efficient (and thorough) care really made this stand out from the standard experience.

I have recently changed my dentist and I selected Bolduc as my next dental care provider. I had them do a couple of routine procedures at first and they went well. Eventually, I needed a procedure done that was complex and in stages, and it was the first of the kind that I was involved with. The doctor did an excellent job and now, months later, the effects are natural and I have feel no discomfort whatsoever. Meanwhile, I recommended this dental office to a coworker.

Visited this dental office for the first time today and it was such a great experience. Dr. Bolduc is kind, patient & professional, and his entire staff is warm and personable. They were able to accommodate a last miniute appointment request and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I will definitely be going back!

I went to Dr Bolduc based on a referral by my sister who has worked with him in the past. She knows that I am very particular about my teeth. The office is warm and inviting, the receptionist and staff were very welcoming (they set the atmosphere for a refreshing experience - especially if you have a phobia about going to the dentist). Dr Bolduc was warm, professional and efficient. He made sure I was comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend Bolduc Dental.
