We are a dental office located in the heart of Columbia, MO just across from the Daniel Boone Public Library. We treat patients of all ages and provide a wide variety of services. Dr. Richard Bohon has been providing quality care and building countless relationships in Columbia over the past 42years.
Dr. Bohon began working for Dr. William Moser after graduating from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1978. The practice was originally located in the Central Dairy (1104 E Broadway) building on Broadway. Dr. Bohon bought the practice and in the October of 1981 Dr. Bohon moved into our current location across from the Columbia Public Library and Grant Elementary School.
Personally,Dr. Bohon is a passionate and dedicated Missouri Tiger fan. He relishes going to MU Football and Basketball games. Dr. Bohon's fervor forbasketball stems from his time spent playing at Westminster College. He is alsoa biking enthusiast and can regularly be found pedaling on the Katy Trail. Off the trail, he loves spending time with his 3 children and 2 grandsons.
Dr. Grant Ressel joined our office after graduating from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Ressel performs many of the services that we previously referred out. Being able to perform many of these procedures (i.e. extractions, root canals, and implants)in office saves you time and money.
As a previous All-American placekicker for Mizzou, Dr. Ressel loves cheering on the Tigers. He is an avid sportsfan and enjoys watching the Chiefs, STL Cardinals & Blues, as well as Premier League Soccer. Other hobbies include traveling, hiking, biking, fishing, and wood-working.

I have recently switched to Broadway Dental after having almost three years of pain and anxiety filled cleanings at a different place in town. After numbing gel and nitrous didn't help, my old hygienist had moved on to valium and full Novocain for the simple regular cleaning that I do every four months. The cleanings hurt so much (I would be sore for two days after a cleaning) that I was caught in a spiral on anxiety where I would wake up filled with dread on days I had to go in. I had started apologizing for my "extra sensitive mouth" as soon as I got to the office. I know this sounds nuts, but I genuinely thought that since I had lapsed a little on dental care, so this was just my lot in life now, and being heavily doped up for each cleaning was the only answer. I decided to try one more thing before just resigning myself to my fate, and moved to Broadway Dental after some on-line research. I can't even describe the world of difference. The cleaning was utterly painless. I told my new best friend, Sharon the hygienist that a couple of my teeth were very sensitive when a particular tool was used on them, and low and behold, she listened to me and used hand scaling on those tender teeth. The whole thing was utterly painless... and no injections, no numbing gel, no laughing gas. Just a little gentler hand. On top of that, my teeth are even cleaner than they were when I was being tortured every four months! Some interproximal staining I had for years is gone! Hats off to this place!

I must brag on them. Had to cancel regular teeth cleaning due to illness. Rescheduled but put me on a call if cancelation. Thought I had a bad tooth. Got me in as soon as I could. Nothing wrong. Dr. Ressel ended up cleaning my teeth. So nice

New patient who switched from another dentist to this friendly office. So far I have received clear communication and suggestions for my personal dental situation--never chiding or critical--do-as-we-say. I was used to a dental office where I had to work around them--so it is refreshing to have a dental office that views patient service a priority. Much appreciated that they are working hard at this time of COVID to provide needed services!

We had the best experience at Bohon & Ressel! We are new to Columbia and needed to get our whole family set up for appointments. Heather was so nice, she answered all of our questions and made it so easy to get our records transferred and new client paperwork completed. This was our sons first dentist appt and Sarah was awesome! She talked to him about everything that was happening and made him feel comfortable. She showed him all the tools she was using and made him laugh. She really made it fun for him and easy for me! Dr. Ressel was great, very nice and informative.

Highly recommend. Staff was able to get me int to see a doctor very quickly Dr Ressel was very attentive and helpful. I will be getting a root canal done on Wednesday and I have faith that the experience will be positive.

Dr. Bohon and Ressell's office is always pleasant and efficient. Heather always tries to work me into a timely appointment and makes every effort to patiently answer questions about insurance or charges. The hygienists are all excellent and friendly. Dr. Ressell has a quiet confidence that is very reassuring and always makes sure there is no pain for any procedure. I think he would be great with kids. I couldn't be happier with his care.

Five months ago I came to Dr. Ressel to make a set of dentures. After that five months and 6,500.00, what I ended up with is a set of teeth that don't fit--they literally slide out of my mouth when I attempt to put them in, regardless of the amount of paste I use. Ressel has spent the past month grinding on them, which has done nothing but make them worse. I have repeatedly asked him to fix these problems, but he either doesn't want to remedy the problem, or doesn't know how. Frankly, I blame myself for not looking a bit harder at the beginning of this fiasco for a dentist more experienced and sympathetic. Ressel may be able to fix a toothache, but I'd advise you to look elsewhere if you need dentures.

My favorite dentist! I see both Dr. Bohon & Ressel. They are both great abs very experienced. I went for a visit yesterday, without insurance, and I ended up paying about 1/4 of the price I thought it would be for X-rays and got no bad news! I've visited other dentist office in the past where I was told I had 30+ cavaties (cherry hill dental : do NOT go there!!), I then was recommended to Bohon where they told me I had ZERO cavities! I've been a loyal patient ever since then. Since I have no dental insurance, I called around to other top rated offices just to check pricing of X-rays and cleaning, and I was happy to find that Bohon was the cheapest! Five stars for every experience at this office.
