Our dentists have over 60 years of combined experience with personal patient care. They have devoted over 50 of those years to taking care of families in the Boerne area. Our dentists witnessed the growth and changes in the area and supported the community with their time, effort, and sponsorships. They raised their families here, and care about this great community and the people that live here.
Dr. Gomillion attended Pan American University and played college baseball until a shoulder injury sadly ended that career path for him. It also allowed him to focus on his other dream dentistry! He ended up studying at the top-ranked University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School, graduating in 1987 with honors in the very same class as his eventual partner, Dr. Cliff Luttrell.
Dr. Gomillion and his wife Martha have six children between them. Martha is a professional faux artist and has worked on countless commercial and residential projects. Some examples of her work are on the walls right here at Boerne Dental Center!
Their oldest child, Jessica, lives in NYC and teaches dance to both children and adults. She also competes in West Coast Swing across the United States. The next oldest is Kaitlyn, and she teaches first grade in Kingsland, TX. She and her husband Jordan live at Lake LBJ and are the proud parents of their very first grandchild named Tatum. Theyre also expecting a second bundle of joy in April of 2020. Kamryn, the next oldest, is an art teacher in Austin at a private school. Ryan is the oldest boy, and he sells and rents real estate in Austin. Luke is attending UT Austin and will be graduating in May of 2020 with a degree in neuroscience. Cub is attending Texas Tech and will graduate with a degree in psychology in December of 2020.
When he isnt busy caring for patients, Dr. Gomillion really enjoys spending quality time at the lake, hanging out in the backyard, grilling on his back porch, walking his dogs, bowling, keeping up with physical fitness, and playing music. His wife says he has too many interests! Having lived in the Boerne area since 1987, he has seen so much growth and so many wonderful changes here over time. Hes proud to be a long-time resident and help his neighbors achieve healthier, happier smiles every day.
Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Luttrell attended the University of Texas in Austin for his undergraduate degree. He then pursued his doctorate at the top-ranked University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. Funny enough, he graduated in 1987 in the very class as his future partner, Dr. David Gomillion.
After his graduation from dental school, Dr. Luttrell ended up joining the United States Navy and served in the Dental Corps for a full decade. During that time, he received additional training through a General Practice Residency and Fellowship in Oral Surgery. In 1997, he left the Navy to finally join Dr. Gomillion here at Boerne Dental Center, where he was quite happy to find the dental office well-established in honesty, integrity, and quality care. These were the hallmarks of the Centers founder, Dr. Roger Hestilow, and Dr. Gomillion had kept them well-maintained ever since.
Dr. Luttrell and his wife Sherry have five children and five grandchildren. They have greatly enjoyed living and working in Boerne for well over two decades because of the wonderful people, the small-town history, and the lovely Hill Country lifestyle. Even as Boerne continues to grow, it remains a truly amazing place to work and live.

My first experience at Boerne Dental Center was wonderful. Laura was at the desk, she was very nice. Shelby and Dr. Simpson were both amazing. I was given so much more information than I was at the other dental offices I have tried. My dentist that I had gone to since I was a child retired a few years ago, so finding Boerne Dental Center was such a relief for me! I feel like they really listened and addressed all of my dental concerns. I would definitely recommend this office!

Boerne Dental has been handling my needs and that of my family for past 20 years. Everyone is top notch at what they do. I happen to have Annie as my hygienist who is detailed, communicates thoroughly, and cares about you as a patient.

Recently moved to Boerne and had my first visit here. Everything was excellent. Easy online paperwork in advance, very friendly front office staff. Lynette, my hygienist was excellent and thorough. Dr Simpson was very kind and professional. There were no pressure tactics for procedures. Instead conservative measures were recommended and options were discussed. I have definitely found my new dentist and highly recommend to others!!

Everytime I come to BDC for a check, I am reminded how blessed our community is that we have such a caring group of dental professionals in our town. Lynnette did a fabulous job on my cleaning and Dr. Gomillion was as genial and pleasant as always. Sad that it's going to be 6 months before I get to go again. ;-)

I have been coming to Boerne Dental Center since I was a little kid and now I am 25 years old! They are always very welcoming and personable. They are always very gentle and it is always a great experience!

My appointment for an all-in-one day crown replacement with Dr. Simpson and his assistant, Shelby, was super. They had excellent communication between them, and my cavity at the base of the old crown was taken care of just prior to getting a new crown fitted and placed - all in a couple of hours. Amazing to find the advances made in dentistry, and they're on top of it!

Boerne Dental Center is hands down the best Dentist office I have established myself with. From the front office staff, to the Hygienists, to the Doctors, everyone greets you with a smile, is extremely knowledgeable, and treats you like family. The exams and cleanings are thorough, without unnecessary treatments,that cost hundreds of dollars,being pushed upon you. They are honest and have your best needs at heart.

Dr. Gomillion and his staff are professional and honest. Another dentist made claims but when those things were asked of Dr. Gomillion he showed how that's not the case. I will continue to return here even though the drive, it's worth it!

When I booked my initial appointment, I have a week I would prefer to come in. Front desk called, and got me pulled up 4 weeks. Lynette, my Hygienist was beyond incredible! My treatment and meeting w Dr. Simpson was great, too. What a great team. I'm happy to be a new patient and client !

New Boerne resident and first time visitor to the office. I read very positive reviews in a few local Boerne groups so I decided to make an appointment for tooth pain I'd been experiencing (and putting off). Dr Gomillion's name was mentioned many times as being experienced, gentle, caring and thorough. Patients described (previous) fears of dental offices; all of which disappeared during their experiences with Dr. Gomillion. The overall atmosphere in the office is clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive. Jocelyn is very knowledgeable and helpful with regard to insurance plans and coverage. After my visit with Dr Gomillion, I am able to confirm all of the wonderful comments made by others about this practice. I felt at ease, and immediately knew I was in good hands. All of my issues and questions were addressed and answered. I had a full understanding of my treatment plan before I left the office. I am referring my entire family to Dr Gomillion. We are looking forward to many years of dental treatment with this wonderful dentist. Thank you so much Boerne Dental Center!
