A native of Minnesota, Dr. Trandem graduated with a bachelor degree in physics and chemistry from St. Olaf College. She then pursued materials engineering, obtaining a masters in materials engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
She is a top dental graduate of The State University of New York at Stony Brook where she earned her degree of dental surgery and later earned her certificate for specialization in orthodontics. After graduation, she moved to Austin in 2010 to practice orthodontics and aid in dental insurance advancement. Dr. Trandem provides quality orthodontic care for her patients, treating adults and children. She is widely recognized across Austin for her thorough and gentle care of patients of all ages.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Orthodontics Association, and the Southwest Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Trandem is married with two children and is an active member of her community. She loves to run half marathons, lead in scouting activities for her children, and bake.
Dr. Trandems philosophy can be summed up as happy clients and beautiful smiles. She focuses on providing advanced orthodontic care in a comfortable and pleasant setting. She is among the most accomplished and regarded orthodontists in Austin and she actively pursues state-of-the-art orthodontic technology, techniques, and equipment.

We were so blessed to have chosen Bobcat Braces for my daughters orthodontic needs! I was completely overwhelmed and filled with anxiety stepping into the braces journey, but from day one with Bobcat Braces I knew I made the right choice! Dr.Trandem eased all my stress! She is very down to earth, I had so many questions and concerns, she went over them all very thoroughly and eliminated my worry and intimidations! We are a handful as patients I'm sure, but Dr. Trandem exceeds in her level of kindness and understanding! The office is absolutely beautiful and feels so high end, this whole experience has been above and beyond what I imagined! If you are in the same boat I was, completely intimidated and hesitant about starting this process (the commitment and cost factors and all foreseeable aspects that hold you back) I highly recommend checking in at Bobcat Braces, you will not be disappointed!!!

I was very dissapointed with the receptionist so I never actually made an appointment. I wanted to know what the general fee was for invislign and shared that I had a prior consulation with another dentist so was not expecting any extrodinary issues, just looking for treatment in the San Marcos area rather than where my initial consult was. He got frustrated with me, said there was no way they could provide a cost estimate or general overall cost and hung up on me. No thanks, I don't want to go to a place that starts out treating me with such a snippy attitude.

It is Always such a pleasure to come into this office for care. Not only is the actual work performed 'top of the line' but the staff is beyond reproach. Every aspect of this practice flows so well. From setting up an appointment, receiving care, and follow-up. What a great experience. I am so glad Bobcat Braces opened up here. I will most definitely refer.

Dr. Trandem is so wonderful! She is professional and caring. She treated me for my second set of braces. I had braces as a kid and I wish she would have been my orthodontist as a kid!

I came to Dr. Trandem looking for clear aligners a few years after having traditional metal braces. Dr. Trandem made sure I was knowledgeable about the treatment plan before I consented to it, as well as provided a lot of comfort that was much needed. The front desk staff is wonderful as well. 100% suggest you see Dr. Trandem.
