Drs. Garcia and Holland have over 15 years of experience providing state-of-the-art dental care for Katy families. Additionally, as a professor at the University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry, Dr. Garcia has years of experience working on some of the most severe dental issues, which has given her a range of experience that extends beyond that of a typical, private practice dentist.

A Texas native, Dr. Amber Garcia grew up in San Antonio but has happily called Katy home since 2013. Dr. Amber has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in the greater Houston area for nearly a decade, and is excited to provide exceptional dental care for you and your Katy family.
Dr. Amber graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Texas Dental School. For the last five years, she has provided dental services to the indigent population of the greater Houston area as a public healthcare dentist.
She is blessed with adorable twins, Ethan and Elizabeth, and her youngest son Everett. A die-hard Texans football fan, she loves to dance, travel, and can sing about anything on a karaoke stage. When outside the office, Amber is usually spending time with her three kids, planning get-togethers with extended family, or just relaxing by the pool.
Originally from Beaumont, TX, Dr. Joe Holland, DDS, MSD is a born-and-raised Southeast Texan. He went to high school in Orange, TX at Little Cypress-Mauriceville, and has called Houston home for the last 7+ years.
He pursued baseball in college, playing at Blinn College in Brenham for two years then transferring to Tulane University in New Orleans for two years. In 2005, he was fortunate enough to play on a College World Series team that inevitably lost to the national champion Texas Longhorns. From 2005-2007, he continued playing professional baseball for an independent league in the Midwest.
If hes not in the office, you can find Dr. Holland with his wife, Elise, spending time outdoors, catching a game, traveling, or visiting with friends and family. He and his wife are excited to be a part of the Katy family and look forward to raising a family of their own in the friendly, Katy community.
In 2007, Dr. Holland returned to school to complete his biology degree from Texas A&M University and subsequently received his DDS from UTSD-Houston. Additionally, he obtained his MSD and Certificate in Periodontics from UTSD-Houston. With the help of his co-resident and faculty, he completed a research study during periodontics residency entitled, Influence of Platelet-Rich Fibrin on Post-extraction Alveolar Ridge Healing/Preservation: A Clinical, Radiographic, and Histological Evaluation. The study looked at using a patients own growth factors for hard and soft tissue healing in preparation for implants.
Dr. Holland has also passed the first part of the American Board of Periodontology exam and will be taking the second part in the spring of 2017 to become board certified. According to Dr. Holland, the greatest pleasure of periodontics is having the privilege of helping people save teeth, improve the look and function of teeth, and provide options to maintain or improve quality of life. His passion is interacting with patients and supporting them to achieve their dental goals.

This was the best dentist experience I've ever had. The dental hygienist did a very thorough cleaning. She was extremely patient and talked me through the whole process. It was the best cleaning I've ever had.

Dr. Garcia is awesome! The office is clean, the staff are so friendly, and they have good cash pay prices if you don't have insurance. Give them a call if you need dental work.

I've been back multiple times for implants. Dr. Holland was great but the remainder of my work needs to be done by Dr. Garcia and the circumstances regarding price keeps changing. I was told it would be $1000 to start my process, then when the new year started I was told the policy changed and half of my total amount for the work to be started then it would be broke up into 12 payments which was totally fine with me. It's been about a month since I last called and NOW they need the full amount to even get started at all. The best part is that there is no accountability for what has been said to me and the receptionist Ashley is basically gaslighting me saying that I was never told that it would've been half of my total amount. This has been the most frustrating experience in my life. I understand that this is a business and not a charity but there was no attempt to even work with me or uphold what was said to me previously. Each time I attempt to finish this process, I get my hopes up and then am blown back with disappointment because the policies continue to change and I cannot keep up.

This was my first time coming to Boardwalk Dental . The office was very clean and inviting . The front Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm a very anxious person when it comes to going to the dentist but today I had Jayda as my hygienist and she was awesome . She is very friendly and personable. She was very knowledgeable and helped put me to ease . She did a great job cleaning my teeth and explaining what she was doing. Dr. Garcia was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. For my first time visit, I'm very satisfied with my choice in my new dentist .

I had to make 3-4 return visits for a simple filling because the bonding kept breaking apart! This was in a 6 month span! The bonding chipped again but there's no way I'm going back to her! I honestly look back on my dental visit and regret ever coming! This was the worst experience and it left my smile looking busted!! On top of that the staff wasn't very friendly.
